I have a Meizu MX5 and I have an issue with the mobile data connection. Every 5-15 minutes I have a connection blackout. During this blackout I can see the H+ or 4G symbol on the status bar, but I just can't upload and download data (I cannot even send/receive whatsapp messages, browser not working, can't play online games etc...). Also, the speed indicator goes down to 0 kb/s. To restore the correct connection I have to disable mobile data and enable it again, otherwise I have to wait about 60/120 seconds and the connection is re-enstablished spontaneously.
I had this issue also on a M2 note, so I think it's a Flyme bug. It's not a signal problem because I tried my sim card also on a Samsung galaxy s3 and on a Samsung galaxy s4 mini and had no issues.
Any idea on how to fix this? I'm about to sell the phone due to this problem.
i have pro 5 and facing the same problem and i have upgraded flyme os but problem still not solved
I have same problem with MX5. But I lost only receving data (arrow down), it showing only(arrow up) if i try something with internet connections. I wrote up some times, when the connection was lost yesterday 20:56 21:51 22:02 22:06 23:30. Disabling/enabling data doesn't help me always, mostly I connect to 2G and then back 3G or 4G to enable data.
Firmware upgrade to Flyme 5.1.0.6G didn't help.

Yes, it was the same for me. Only arrow up but I wasn't even able to send whatsapp messages. I wrote to the Meizu assistance, they told me that the issue would be solved with the next update, but months have passed and the issue it's not solved yet. So I sent back the phone to my seller and obtained a refund.

Hi guys,
Getting this message upon connevting to virtually every wireless network sinse rootibg my phone, is there a root tweak to disable betwork quality checking ? On a G900F
Thanks
Anyone?
You should be able to turn off smart network switching under wifi settings that will solve it.
Nice one thank you! I will see what happens!
turning off smart networks helps, but if the wifi signal is too poor it will not connect anyway

u cannot change that.
ready to connect when network quality improves
We have two Galaxy 5s in our home (AT&T and T-Mobile). Both just started getting this message last night. "ready to connect when network quality improves"
Its multiple access points, multiple networks. Eating battery like crazy. Dropping and reestablishing connections to WiFi every 15 to 60 seconds.
Pain in the @zz
Turn off "smart network switch"
I also started getting "ready to connect when network quality improves" messages constantly as the network connected and disconnected. Turning off the "smart network switch" option fixed the problem. I also leave the annoying Samsung Connections Optimizer turned off.
Smart Network Switch Off?
I just got my S5 about 6 weeks ago. I have had NO issues until this week. A few days ago, even though wifi notifications were turned OFF - I kept getting this "connected to network name" message on the bottom of my phone. When I went into wifi settings this morning, I noticed it would switch from connected (very strong signal strength) to "waiting for signal quality to improve". It constantly goes back and forth - 5 seconds or so on each. This is not an issue on any other device connected to the wifi router at my home and I just tried it at work - happens here too.
I checked to make sure wifi notifications were off - they were - but the pop up still appears over and over. I think that's another issue separate from this because if notifications are off you should not be getting any!
I have done as suggested here and turned off the smart network switch, however, does that now mean that I will be switched back and forth every 5 seconds from data to wifi? That defeats the purpose of connecting to wifi to save on monthly data plan charges.
AFTER noticing this problem this morning, I went to see if there were any software updates - there were (Lollipop). I did download that, but no change.
How does turning this off affect where my phone pulls from? Uses data or wifi?
Thanks for any help!

+1 with exact same timelines/symptoms and upgraded to Lollipop and no diff too.
I started getting this message on my S5 last night! The connection will hold for about 10-15 seconds before reverting to LTE.
Tried resetting router settings, playing with different wireless settings - changing channel width and turning the visibility on and off.
Then "forgot" the network and readded it again.
It seems to be holding a stable connection without it dropping and was able to download a few items from the play store without dropping.
Will update if it changes.
Same here S5 900F

Me too - I've been searching for weeks to figure this out - tried every known fix .... nothing has helped. I've even reset/changed/updated my wifi settings on my router. Nothing has helped. My S5 is the only one that has this problem. Other phones in the house have no problem - S4 and others.... I just don't know whats going on. I maxed my data avoiding this issue - but I really need a fix for it.

This problem was driving me insane......I had it and managed to fix it (hopefully been going ok for three days now) I have a samsung Galaxy S5 on EE.....I backed everythingh up and did a factory data reset. Hope this helps.
I have a Galaxy S6 and have the exact same issue. I have called Samsung, my carrier (US Cellular), and tried a local place to get it fixed, but no one has ever heard of this issue. Amazon Photos was hogging a lot of bandwidth and backing up on wifi only so I stopped using that. Still not much of an effect. Using FB or a video is almost impossible because they won't load or refresh. I've tried all of the suggestions, but don't see a final fix. Can anyone help? This is my second S6 with the issue.
Hi all genius brains, i am using Yureka since last one year. Recently after updating the OS I am experiencing the internet issues with my Sim 1 of Vodafone. It works great on other phone same SIM. But in Yureka I need to manually activate the data connection at every use. It works great for a minute or two and then again the data connection goes off automatically. Then again switch on the data connection manually and so on.
I have replaced my handset already from the company for this problem. But with the replaced handset also the same problem once the system got updated.
Pls help.
Thanks,
Om

Funny you guys should mention this issue, but I found the workaround elsewhere. I can't remember where now, but it's easy, and ONLY needed until your Data issues resolve.
Try turning ON your Airplane Mode. Just for about 2 seconds. That's all: 2 seconds, then turn it OFF. That's it!
The Data Network Connection SHOULD reconnect correctly. Try again if it doesn't. Give it a bit, a few seconds. Watch the "data up, down" arrows to see if they show up. If they don't, try it one more time.
If they don't that 2nd time, turn off the Data Connection, wait a few seconds or so, then try again. I can ALMOST promise it'll work.
Mine was SO stubborn but I was merciless! I was FINALLY able to get it to work!!
Now I rarely have to do it and when I do, it only takes once to make the connection.
Best of luck! ?
Dear experts,
I am facing a strange problem with my meizu mx5 phone data connection.
I felt that there is a network coverage issue with my provider.
But what I noticed is if I start using data as soon as I reboot my phone the connection stays. Otherwise the data connection will lost after few seconds. Does anyone has any ideas to identify if the problem is with phone or sim?

After searching all over the internet, I have tried to resolve the issue and be able to have my data connection always on.
I did this by allowing the applications to access data in background.
Though this has worked for some time, later I am back to the same situation .
I am not really sure how to resolve this problem.

I tried my SIM on another phone and the data was working fine over there.
I put another SIM on my phone and data did not work.
So I thought the issue is with my phone.
After inserting SIM back into my phone, suddenly the data started working.
Though I feel happy that the problem is resolved. I am worried that I could not find the root cause of this problem and what fixed this problem.
So my s10+ (G975-F) was working just fine. After updating it to latest update, it has been acting really weird. The internet would stop working all of a sudden, like messages on messenger would not send, snapchat would not load, same with fac3bpok and chrome.
Anyone else facing thiis issue? Any help would be appreciated.
your mobile signal really poor.... one bar only...
wifi signal also 2 bar only, but... are you sure your wifi connection also running good ?

I have similar issue: No mobile data connection since updating to Android 10 on 12/31/2019. WiFi is working fine. Tried wiping the cache partition as suggested above. Tried restarting, resetting network. Tried calling carrier (Redpocket/Verizon) who did provisioning and taking out SIM card and reinserting/restarting. When switching SIM card to another phone (Galaxy S8+ using Android 9), no issue (Internet worked just fine). But another SIM card on my cell phone (Note 10+) didn't work either. So clearly the issue is with my phone (after the software update), not carrier. Took the phone to local Samsung store on 1/2/2020. Was told I was the first one reporting this since the Android rollout. They suggested factory reset which I am very hesitate to do. Then they suggested waiting for a patch to be released, if there will be one ever.
I am using Samsung Note 10+. I am in California.
Any advice? Thanks
