Call Volume issues - T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge Questions & Answer

Does anyone else have a problem with the call volume? I'm aware that there is speaker mode, but I can't use it all the time as I don't want people listening in on my conversation. The volume is barely enough for me to hear.

Might be defective earpiece as mine is very loud and can even be heard a few feet away. Try adjusting the volume while in a call and watch the volume slider go all the way up or down to confirm volume change.

I agree you might have a defective unit. I'm quite deaf, wear hearing aids but prefer to have phone conversations without. My volume is quite satisfactory and I give Sammy props for doing it right this time.

Earpiece volume

I just got it and noticed the earpiece volume is still low even with the volume turned all the way up.
Is there a setting I missed or maybe a registry fix?
Any help would be appreciated
HTC HD2
OS 5.2
MANILLA 2.5.2
ROM 2.13
RADIO 2.10
Don't mean to offend you. I had the same issue but was more of a user issue. I kept increasing the volume not paying attention that I was adjusting the ring volume and not the system volume.
if that doesnt work you may need to return it. My friends HD2 had low speaker volume and low earpiece volume. As much as we tried, we couldn't get it to go.
N1M1TZ - No offense taken, I only adjusted the volume during a call and at max it is still quiet.
I checked the settings/sounds, no adjustment for the earpiece just the ringer and the system sounds.
marduk79 - after doing a little digging I have found that this is a common problem with this particular batch of phones.
The first batch came out and the volume was set way to high that it was actually blowing out the earpiece.
I think I may have found a solution, if it works I will post it.
Thanks for the assist.
So what is the solution... My first one had sweet loud ear piece volume. But alas, the speaker blew. My replacement is alright, but I want it to be a tad bit higher... Lots of years of loud punk rock have made me slightly def I think...
Anyone know if there is a cab or registry tweak or something that will make the volume louder in the ear piece speaker?

How low? Like so low you couldn't hear it, or just low enough to be annoying? Basically my first HD2 was nice and loud. The new one is about 3 bars lower sounding turned all the way up... Which annoys me because I know the other one was louder and it's hard to hear people if I'm in an environment with a lot of background noise.
I feel like if I tried to take it in to get a replacement they would think I was nuts.
headphone and phone speaker too low
I too beleive the headphone volume is way too low, when listening to music or taking a call on the headphones it is barely loud enough too hear if there is any background noise such as traffic or conversations going on nearby. I have the volume about 75% when listening to talk radio stations, on my headset, no background noise present and it is at normal listening level. So if there is background noise, I need 100% for it to be loud enough to hear clearly. The phone speaker is not much better, when listening to calls on speakerphone the percentages are about the same for equvilent listening circumstances. I have tried "AudioPara3 TMO" and notice little or no difference in sound. Does anyone know of anything that will increase the maximum volume level for both speakerphone and headphones?
I'd like to know if there is any registry hack to increase the line out volume as well. My line out volume is very low, I have to put it to about 50 percent to match what would be the 20-30 percent level of my old HTC Touch (Touch 1 to HD2 - quite an upgrade, eh?? )

Nexus call volume

I just received a used Nexus One I purchased and the call volume is insanely low. Of course I was unable to try it out before buying but got a great deal on it. Maybe this is why. I was just wondering what I could do, are there any hacks to increase volume, or should I check on warranty status maybe. It is so low, if there is any background noise I can't hear the other person at all. I work in a construction trade so volume isn't something I can sacrifice. Thanks for your input.
Victor
flash a kernel with the audio hack. if you ask me, the stock call volume is horrible.
I thought this at first too, but I realized I was positioning the phone way too high on my head. The speaker is a the very top edge of the phone, try moving the phone up and down your ear during a call to find the correct spot.

Ear Speaker Volume Question

Just wondering if anyone can confirm the ear speaker volume on the Atrix. It seems lower than most. The exterior speaker is awesome and produces great sound, but speaking on my Atrix the first time yesterday the volume seemed low, both ringing in the ear speaker and the caller. I am trying to determine whether or not there is a defection so if someone could let me know if it's just lower than most phones or they suspect there is a problem i would appreciate it.

[Q] Earphones Mic too low volume

From Day one i have been trying to get good earphones with Mic for nexus 4
tested out more than 6-7 quality earphones with mic like J6M, Klipsh, etc
but the microphone volume on the other end of call is too less compared to apple ear phones( recently switched from iphone)
I have to keep the mic piece really close to my mouth for a good conversation...
can someone help me here.. the mic on nexus 4 works perfect but when i connect earphones the problem begins... i used mic sensitivity apps to test and they pick very less volume from the connected mic
How do i boost the mic sensitivity on earphones or should i return the phone
Will try with my skullcandy's and revert

I'm having the exact same problem - did you find a fix?
I tried quite a few.. expensive as well as cheap ones. finally i got hold of a cheap ear phone set and the volume to the other end is good to be heard (as I have been reported).. While trying them all, I was calling my friend and asking him.. so thats how I know i picked the best one. However, since it extremely loud.. i kinda have to keep it away from my ear a bit and volume on phone is turned down to minimum.. Plus, due to its sheer loudness, I can hear the buzzing sound.. For the first time i noticed it, i.e.: through these extreme loud ear phones. The other party hears it too. Never heard it while on call directly using the ear piece. Strange.

Do you mind me asking which brand headphones you are referring too here? I have the same issue.
I bought from a local shop. It was a knock off of beats audio. The sounds it throws is EXTREMELY loud.
Is it just me, or does the OP make very little sense? I'm completely lost at what he's trying to ask.. Something about the mic? or the sound output of the "earbuds"?
No trouble here with any of the wired earbud sets I've tried. Clear as a bell and no buzzing.
If its so Loud for you, what are you not adjusting the volume? Would kinda of make sense to do so...
Or you could upgrade in your tech and get a bluetooth earbud.. I have absolutely no problem with volume levels from my Jawbone; I'm hear clearly and I can hear them just find (even when driving with all windows down, it sounds like they are right next to me yelling)

Nope, it's you. OP was referring to the mic volume on the headset being low, but in filthykids response, he mentioned that the headphones that solved the quiet mic is also very loud on the earpieces.
Also having the same problem, BTW.

Call volume too high on headphones/earphones

That's pretty much it.
Volume is normal on the speaker during calls but as soon as I plug in a pair of headphones/earphones the volume gets too loud even if I keep it at the lowest setting. It is so high that it becomes physically painful to keep using them so I'm forced to keep on using the phone speaker which to be honest is not something that I like to do while at my desk.
The media volume is completely normal regardless of wether I'm using headphones or not, this problem seems to appear only during calls.
Please help.
