Hello, anybody can help me ?
My phone Samsung S7 SM-G935F is root using the method Team Win Recovery Project 3.0.0-0 hero2lte, but when restarted only appears the black screen, i try to enter to download mode, but i can`t in to TWRP for to do an [Wipe] -> [Format Data], anybody have some solution ?
I`m trying the different combinations but always appears the black screen:
Hold [Volume Up] + [Home] ----Nothing
Hold [Volume Down] + [Home] + [Power] ----Download mode
Hold [Volume Up] + [Home] + [Power] ----Nothing
Hold [Volume Down] + [Volume Up] + [Home] + [Power] ----Nothing
I tried to put 3 photos but i can post extern links.
Thanks a lot.
To boot into recovery mode:
Press and hold “Volume UP + Power + Home” buttons together and as soon as you see Galaxy S7 Edge Boot logo, release all three buttons.
When you see an exclamation mark on screen, press and hold Power button and hit the Volume Up button once.
└ Note: This step won’t be necessary if you’ve a custom recovery like TWRP installed.
You could boot into download mode and try again via ODIN.
If you get really stuck, you can reflash your original firmware via ODIN.

Thanks for your answer Nobnut, really is a big problem, this is my only phone now.
The first option is not possible, i have tried several times but i can`t get enter to TWRP.
The second option i thins is better because i can enter in download mode and odin recognize mi phone, what would i do next ? i think i must to reflash my original firmware, have you info about it ?
Ah, my phone is SM-G935F, from Sunrise Switzerland.
I have the info
Ok i got the info, i can do this via Odin.
But...
Do you think that my phone is bricked oder have solution ?
In this case, do you know what is the ROM that i need ?
Your phone is fine. It is not bricked.
It depends on where you bought the phone, or where you live. It is all determined by the CSC code you want/need. I am from the UK and my phone is unbranded, so my CSC is BTU.
I don't know what your CSC code should be.
If you are from Germany, it will probably be one of DBT, DTM, DUT, EPL, MAN, MBC, OXA*, VD2, VIA, XEG. If you are unsure, I *think* that DBT is unbranded. You can flash any of them though.
If you know it, you can download the correct firmware from various websites.
I however use this great tool. Just fill in your CSC and model number 'SM-G935F'. Select 'Check CR32' and 'Decrypt automatically'.
Click 'Check Update' and then download it when it finds it.
Unzip and flash the parts in ODIN. Your phone will be factory reset.

For some reason the AUT firmware isn't available on Samsung's servers. It should become available soon.
You have other choices:
1. You can try and install Smart Switch on your PC and *hopefully* you will be able to recover your device to its normal state.
or
2. Choose either BTU or XEU in SamFirm and flash one of those in ODIN until AUT becomes available. It will get your phone up and running again and both have the German language available. Your phone will work perfectly. Both of them are unbranded.

I'll only be here for about 1 hour from now. I will check back.
I have just checked and the only Swiss firmware available right now is for Swisscom.
EDIT: Have you tried flashing TWRP in ODIN again? Try it a second time

It will work but it will have all of the Swisscom branding (bootanimation and any bloatware they install). If I were in your position, I would flash BTU or XEU. Then when AUT is released, I would flash back to that.

Don't panic!
First try booting into download mode again and reflash TWRP. It might work the second time.

You will be fine because when you flash the full firmware, it will put the stock recovery partition back and it will factory reset your device.

Hi, im about to flash my i5800 to 2.2, but came what i think is a simple question : the firmware rar, come with 4 md5 files,
I5800OXXJPF-CSC-MULTI-OXX.tar.md5
I5800XXJP4_PHONE.tar.md5
I5800XXJPF-REV02-Bootloader-low-CL794643.tar.md5
I5800XXJPF-REV02-PDA-CL794643.tar.md5
Well, on the tutorial, says to use the "one Package" option, should i load the PDA file on it?
thanks
No. Do not use one package option. JPF firmware released diffrently. You need to rename all 4 files to remove .md5. Then select individual files ODIN.
Do not use one package option
load individual files by pressing the BOOT, PHONE, PDA, CSC buttons.
Renaming is not required

Did you also select the bootloader? If yes, then there is a possibility of bricking?
Try the following:
1. Remove battery
2. press and hold the power button for 15-20 seconds
3. Put in the battery
4. Press volume down + home + power key
This should take you to download mode. If it does, select all files one by one except bootloader. Also do not remove extension .md5. Odin will automatically check it.
Uncheck protect ops and upgrade.
If this fails, I dont have an idea. if someone else can help you it will be great else you will need to visit samsung service center. Act like you dont know anything
well wait, are you saying i should NOT use the bootloader? thanks for all the help guys, i just want to know that nothing goes wrong
so, on odin, i will put :
Boot: NONE
Phone: I5800XXJP4_PHONE.tar.md5
PDA: I5800XXJPF-REV02-PDA-CL794643.tar.md5
CSC: I5800OXXJPF-CSC-MULTI-OXX.tar.md5
EPS: None
is that right or should i put I5800XXJPF-REV02-Bootloader-low-CL794643.tar.md5 on boot option?
thanks again

There's no need to reflash the bootloader. It, however, minimizes the risk of bricking your device if you don't.
ok, really thanks, hope thats all i need to know, since there is no specifc tutorial for jpf
guys really thanks for everything, everything is running perfect, on my first attempt
thanks and screw samsung wth the official update lol!
i have been doing alot of rom upgrade via clockwork and this is the first time my phone brick.
i tried the vol up, vol down and power button at the same time and it just brings me to "vibrant samsung" screen.
i also tried removing battery, hold vol up, vol down and insert battery, it goes to a screen where it says downloading. but didnt move for hours.....
and if i switch on normally, it just keep restarting on vibrant screen.
how do i solve this problem?
You have to use odin to flash back to stock....
That's what the download screen is for.
From that downloading mode screen you can odin it back to stock.

INSTRUCTIONS!
1.Your Device must be in DOWNLOAD mode to use ODIN.
2.Get your phone into Download mode by holding vol down and power.
3.THEN connect your phone to the USB. (some folks have had luck doing it in reverse..connecting the USB then Power and vol down)
4.Open Odin and load each file with it's corresponding field..PIT,PDA,CSC etc. (In this case we just use the PDA and PIT)
5.Don't check anything else, the other two boxes should be checked by default (Auto Reboot and Reset Time)
6.Hit "start"! be patient!
NOTE: COM3 worked fine for me. COM should not matter as long as you are using the correct drivers.
Finally we get some U.S love from samsung firmwares.
For those looking the Nandroid method it is in the post below but only recovers ,system, data, cache and datadata. Not your kernel/recovery or BASEBAND/RADIO (Modem.bin)

Get in download mode like you have before then..
Use the Vibrant Toolkit and then click Flash to Stock and then press "Reboot into Download + Start ODIN" (ignore the "Check that USB debugging mode is enabled" because you're already in download mode), it'll open up ODIN and then follow the instructions for using ODIN.

From bay_wolf's post, some information about setup of odin,
When you select the PIT and PDA files, it should default to the installed location and if not then browse to where you installed AIO Vibrant Toolbox as the files are in there.

Note: there are instructions on how to use odin on the Flash To Stock screen. All the files you'll need will be downloaded with the download for the vibrant toolkit.

just another quick question, which rom are you guys using? i came from bionix rom to the simply galaxy v3.0, it doesnt seem to b fast and smooth. any other recommended rom?
Try some EDT roms...beast...Malice, Trigger, or Bi Winning.
Flash back to stock too.
I use simply Galaxy with Crysis Sensation theme (TWiz 4.0 + tweaks) & DamianGTO Gold v2.0 kernel (not available on XDA). Then use an app called Blade buddy to set up all Stagefright tweaks (under advanced settings) and debug.sw.hf then menu > apply > save. Quadrant scores 2200+.
Trigger is really good (2.2) and there's a cool new theme called Vibrant HD for it.
Haven't tried CM7 but it looks cool, lots of themes with it.
I have a question regarding the new 28 version. I flashed it, following exactly the instructions. Flashed the new modem >I9505XXUFNC9_GSM_LTE_Modems.tar< . After flashing the rom, everything works perfectly well, but in the about device menu the baseband version is I9505XXUFNBH. I really dont think thats a big issue, because everything works just fine, I am just wondering should it be that way or should it show I9505XXUFNC9 instead. Or maybe i still have the old modem version and flashed sometilhing wrong. Can you guys check in your phones and me a reply?

Update Galaxy NotePRO 12.2 P900 to Android 5.0.2 Lollipop
(Not Tripping Knox)
Make sure you downloaded and installed the Samsung usb drivers beforehand (http://www.android.gs/download-samsung-usb-drivers-for-android/)
Download the firmware and extract it. ( http://samsung-updates.com/device/?id=SM-P900 or https://www.samdownloads.de/downloads/sm-p900/) (For USA users with tripped knox (no OTA update) just odin the "cellular south" SM-p900 5.0.2 sammobile rom.)
Download ODIN v3.09 (http://androidhost.org/PVAIv)
Reboot your phone into download mode. Do this by first switching off the phone, then pressing and holding the volume down + home button together and then pressing the power button. Press power again to enter download mode. (If you have problems go to the Troubleshoot section)
Open ODIN on your computer. You’ll see the ID:COM box turning yellow with a COM port number upon successful connection with the phone.
In ODIN click the AP button, select the extracted firmare file from step 2. It's a tar.md5 file
Make sure Auto Reboot & F. Reset Time options are selected in ODIN
Click on the start button. When the process is completed your phone will reboot. To confirm update Galaxy NotePRO 12.2 P900 to Android 5.0.2 official firmware simply check the settings > about.
How To Install TWRP + ROOT On Lollipop
(Tripping Knox)
Due To different bootloaders On Lollipop, installing TWRP is slightly different:
Download the twrp.tar (https://dl.twrp.me/v1awifi/twrp-2.8.7.0-v1awifi.img.tar.html) on your pc and supersu.zip (http://download.chainfire.eu/supersu) on your device. Also, download odin on your pc
Open odin on your pc.
Put device into download mode by turning off the tablet first. Then hold power, home, volume down button all at the same time till download mode comes up.
Hit volume up to continue
Connect tablet to pc.
Hit the ap or AP button in odin.
Select the twrp recovery tar.
Untick auto reboot in odin
Hit start and let it flash all the way
Now force reboot by holding power, home, volume up buttons at the same time till it reboots.
Hit install button in twrp.
Select the supersu zip you downloaded
Swipe to install and reboot.
Troubleshooting:
Q: Can't boot into TWRP
A: In ODIN, uncheck automatic reboot then flash TWRP. So you have enough time to get ready to reboot into TWRP directly after ODIN finishes.
After TWRP is flashed, press power+vol.up buttons and hold them until the Samsung Logo appears then release them.
You should then automatically go into TWRP. Once into TWRP, you can install the root.zip file.
Q: Lollipop is unstable, I get force closes or the whole ROM is just bull****!
A: Go to Recovery Mode by pressing and holding the Volume Up+Power buttons together.
Now, perform Wipe Data/Factory Reset and Wipe Cache Partition task before selecting the reboot system now option. In Recovery Mode use the Volume keys to navigate between options and Power key to select any option.
Q: Can't go into Download Mode
A: Actually on most devices, if you really press the three buttons constantly, it will reboot forever and not go into the download mode. It's better if you turn off your device completely, then press home, volume down. Keep them pressed. Now press the power button too. You're holding down all tree buttons now. The device boots about a second after you see the boot-logo, stop pressing the power button, but keep holding home and volume down. If it's not working try releasing the powerbutton earlier, or later than advised. But keep Home and Volume Down pressed constantly.
Q: Can't flash TWRP, it keeps booting into stock recovery!
A: Disable the Autoreboot option in ODIN
any impact on Knox?

Nice guide btw and hope we can see deodex guide soon [emoji106]
Thank you for this.
I used to really get into this stuff when I had my OG Droid but these days I can't devote the time to it like that. This guide was clear and worked exactly like it said it would.
Great thread - very helpful - I did have issues when flashing twrp - learned a lesson - make sure you read the whole thread. I didn't at first - I figured I had flashed TWRP so many times I knew what to do - but it didn't work - each time ODIN auto rebooted and I tried to go to recovery - it was back on stock recovery.
THEN I read the whole thread - and did what you said - uncheck Auto Reboot - and do the three finger reboot to recovery - home, power volume up - and viola' it worked just as advertised. Thanks for the guide - very useful!
EDIT - I am having issues and not sure what to do - when I attempt to make a nandroid in TWRP - before flashing a new rom - the backup ran for over 10 minutes and would not finish. its like it is hung up on the last step of the backup or somehting - looks like it is still backing up - but it never changes, Any suggestions?
EDIT 2- I was able to create a backup on internal SD Card - but all attempts to back up to EXT SD Card failed - has this happend to anyone else?
piece o cake. easier than juggling cfautoroot. Thanks dude.
P.S. For USA users with tripped knox (no OTA update) just odin the "cellular south" SM-p900 5.0.2 sammobile rom.
Im not sure where I keep going wrong. Im trying to get into download mode. If I hold the power, volume down, and home button the tablet constantly reboots.
If I release the home button after a few seconds I wind up in download mode.
What am I doing wrong?
Billinaz, try powering down completely first. Then while it's off press all 3 buttons.

im from israel, my current Version is P900ZSUANH2, what region i need to download for upgrade to lolipop? is there a difference?

Yes it is! I just updated my stock 4.4.2 (Netherlands) to 5.0.2 using the Korean (BOG) version. Installed it with Odin and about 30 minutes later all apps were updated and my P900 is now a much improved one!
I was reluctant to do this as I feared Iwould lose my data and had to start from scratch, but as a very pleasant surprise all is preserved and all apps are working fine!
And it is really worth doing the upgrade, it is much smoother and access to SD is finally usable.
About language you can choose this again when 5.0.2 boots, the list was extensive, I saw Dutch was there too, but I stuck to English...
So I'm happy with 5.0.2, not rooted and fully stock, and typing this on my Logitech bluetooth keyboard!

I don't usually comment here but I had to say thank you so much for this! Whole thing went smoothly and the tablet feels a lot snappier and less laggy now, which is a nice change (although it might just be a placebo).
I installed the Korean BOG version as well on my Australian tablet. It was the only one that would flash out of the 5.0.2's on Sammobile, the rest failed every time. I use a bluetooth keyboard and it still works - its a chinese cheap thing, works great. I had to do a factory reset to get everything running smooth again. There is English in the language options, but only UK English, which is ok for Australia. I do want to root though but one of the ways that wont trip knox. Previously I used kingroot, but it hasn't got a solution this time.
hi again hope to get help from you all i am stuck on MID csc but i need to go back to XFA i tried flashing xfa an eve tried this
1. Run and configure Odin. Do NOT check “Re-Partition” and “Auto Reboot” check boxes.
2. Load the stock firmware in the PDA button.
3. Set the phone in download mode (Volume Down+Home+Power button). Then connect the phone in your computer.
4. Hit the “Start” button and then wait.
5. Once the flashing successfully completed. Do NOT let it reboot into the normal mode.
6. Reboot into recovery mode (Volume Up+Home+Power button).
7. See if it’s applying the CSC file then wait until it finishes and reboot.
8. If you do not see the CSC installation, instead choose the “Wipe data/Factory reset”. Then repeat flashing the stock firmware. You may then achieved the CSC code flashing the stock firmware on the second attempt.
10. Confirm the CSC code by using Kies 3 or by downloading Phone INFO ★Samsung★ and see if the CSC code has changed.
and this
This worked just fine for me & I am confident about that this will work on your device too.
But remember this may can do a "FACTORY RESET",
So backup your data firstfi
Open your phone’s dialer and type the following code with your device IMEI number:
*#272*Phone’s IMEI Here#
No software required
and no luck i even tried flashing just the modem also no luck
never mind i got it fixed so if any one want help i will help but it is a long thing to do but at least it worked for me

Hi @biebie29. I have a similar issue for an S7 Edge. Currently on XSG CSC but want to go back to my own country code XFA.
Would very much like to know what you did as I can't find an answer to my problem.
