On my G2, Cloudy G2 3.3 having "Touch Lag while typing an SMS". This is the only issue i'm facing.
Otherwise, By disabling some un used apps, its a great ROM...:good:

Hey i bought lg l7 - p700 T-MOBILE and when i bought it it had Android 4.0.3, so i updated it with official LG MOBILE SUPPORT TOOL immediately to 4.1.2 but my phone is so slow. I dont have too mutch apps installed but it always shows 80-85% on the 360 mobile security application what can i do too speed it up ? It it laggy on the lock screen when i draw the pattern too. When using it for some time i think that the lagg is dissapearing. I rooted many phones and installed roms, but i dont want to root this one because there is risk always to brick it, as i said its new so i wont get another one soon. Did someone else had the same experience ? Are there any apps to boost my phone speed ?
Thanks.
Hi! Same experience with P-700, this phone have only 512mb of ram, so with this rom it's not enough. I've tried some scripts found on forum but the best for me is custom rom. If you want only stock rom, reflash ics with kdz. For scripts you can go here: http://forum.android.com.pl/f759/scrypty-lg-l7-optymalizacja-i-przya-pieszenie-290882/

Thanks for this, i can easy downgrade to ICS with lg mobile support tool but i dont know if the problem will be solved...
I dont want to take the risk for flashing custom rom because of the bootloader and other things because its locked by T-mobile who knows what scripts they putted in this time like on my lg p500 ...
Personally, i've flash unlocked ics rom (Bootloader, root.) three days after buy before installing scripts and custom roms. I've never test scripts on stock roms.
Actually, if you don't want to root your device, it will stay slow and laggy. With 512Mb of RAM and the heavy LG firmware, your LG will always be slow, no matters how much scripts or optimizations you use. The only way to get rid of it is to root it. Each ROM on this forum runs faster than V20, and if you respect the basic rules of security, there's no reason to brick your device. And do not downgrade to 4.0.3, it's horrible.

These kind of scripts are not really useful... I used them on my Nex7 and my LG L7 and I've seen nothing excepted a slower device...

Hello everyone,
From few weeks Im using Cloudy G2 2.2 ROM + Dorimanx kernel with performance mode - and unfortunately this ROM is very slow, few days ago I bought another LG G2 D802 for my friend, it comes with android 5.0.2 stock. Of course this system is completely clean but difference with speed to cloudy g2 2.2 (andorid 4.4.2) is very big. This 5.0.2 rom is much faster, Im asking this question because i have read a lot opinion that older cloudy rom and older stock based roms are more stable and faster than lolipop. But now I see that is not true.
I need stock based rom because of camera (for aosp is very poor).
Which stock based ROM is fastest for LG G2? Thanks in advance for your opinions
cloudy 3.3 + xceed kernel imo
I will try this ROM, any other suggestions ?
From my experience the fastest stock based ROM on the G2 D802 is CloudyStock 2.7. Kitkat is much faster and memmory management is night and day comparing Kitkat and Lollipop. Stock Kitkat based ROMS are optimized to run much better on G2 than Lollipop ROMs. Its interesting that Cloudy 2.2 is running slow for you, maybe try to reflash and use the default kernel that comes with it without changing any kernel settings. This is the ROM I am using ATM and it is one of the fastest. Also try MIUI 7 based on stock Kitkat, Cloudyflex, Cloudystock as I mentioned and other stock Kitkat based roms if you want speedy and snappy performance. Cloudy 3.3 is also good if you want Lollipop but it will bog down after a while and only data wipe can restore its snappyness although frequent reboots can improove memmory management. Dont use Dorimanx kernel it always slows my phone down no matter what settings I use, IDK why. Also if you are using G2 or G3 tweaksbox try disabling it, some settings can slow down your phone. The same goes for Xtana and similar apps thet change systemui and framework apk. Unicon app for changing icons also slows down any OS. Try to run as stock as possible for the snappiest performance.
Good idea to disable g2/g3 tweaks - I will try it, As I remember, on original kernel system was similiar slow. Maybe I just need full format all data/syste/ etc and install clean rom from beginning. Also I will try to record speed of my phone just to comparsion, maybe it is normal but just for me means slow? I dont think so.

I dont think so either. Also when installing choose odexed in aroma, this also affects ROM speed, app openning speed and boot time. Deodexed is not necessery as you can easily theme anything with G3 Tweaksbox even if your rom is odexed. Try shuffling trough D802 development section and you will find a couple of great Kitkat based roms like Coqueror rom or stock 20f prerooted kitkat rom.

Sorry but it's not clear, you mean that is better to install odexed or deoexed rom on beginning?

Its better to install odexed ROM.
Best thing you can do really is flashing a non stock rom...the difference is insane. The major drawback is the camera...the quality is considerably lower. Battery life is more or less the same! Stock lollipop from LG is so bad...even with xceed kernel
You are absolutely right! I know this, camera is just one reason which keeps me with stock rom. I used cyan 11 before and diffrence was huge, I mean camera is so bad but speed sooo good. I think lg g2 is not complete phone for me because of this. Camera is something very important for most of the ppl, and this one for aosp rom is not even worth to rating...
I have a stock G2 (VS980) that has been rooted and TWRP installed, nothing more. I want to upgrade to the newer features of Android and have been waiting for a stable version of Lolipop but seems like it will never happen (Last I checked even LG was recommending not upgrading to LP due to battery issues). I am looking for stability most of all, and would also like tethering ability, and it seems like every Rom (official or otherwise) released has some little bug that is not resolved (Even CM13). Since the L2 is getting old, and we are not sure LG will put any more work into offical updates, just wondering if there is a consensus on the best update from the stock KitKat for the Verizon G2.
Thanks for any guidance you can provide.
Michael
try Cloudy 3.3 , it's bug-free, fast and stable and battery life is good

Thanks - I am a little concerned though that it is try at your own risk with no support for CDMA which is what I have.
LG Volt was my first obsession, I moved to this G2 {unlocked verizon varient} with 4.4.2 stock 24a, I dont want to brick this, but im looking for a Stable ROM, where everything works, Id prefer one tweaked for speed and performance, but want my stock LG apps if possible, and wanting a different look....
I know I may not get all of these together, but can someone tell me what i can use and what i have to sacrifice / or gain from such??
Main goal is proper COMPATIBILITY and STABILITY for the most parts.....
Thanks
Hi everybody
I am currently running a LG G2 (D802) with Stock Android 5.0.2
Recently I went for the newest Dorimanx Kernel (v 3.4.112) and I am pretty satisfied.
So now I am looking for a stable ROM, which fits good (best) for this specific Kernel.
In addition, it would be nice if this ROM would not affect or rather worsen the camera quality and the battery life.
I hope that the xda-community can help me out, since I feel the knowledge here is way better than mine.
Try this , until now i think it is the best rom for lg g2
