Just installed this new OTA update on my ZE551ML (Z00AD), no problem found so far.
The ASUS site doesn't mention it yet, so no clues as to its changes
It's to fix the storage bug.

Further to that, regular security updates are really nice to have.
Most vendors of phones in this price range simply forget their devices after releasing them, ASUS is still working on its phones. Slowly perhaps, but still..

I've never had a storage issue. I don't understand why they have never worked on the battery issue. Ready to sell this damn phone is anyone is looking for another. $225 firm and it's the 128GB / 4GB version lol
Unless you've skipped the .168 update you should have/had internal space decreasing without a reasonable explanation.
My 32GB apparently freed up 1.5-2GB of internal storage after installing the .174 update, FWIW.
About battery life, Android M should help somehow..

Off course i know but what i mean is why no something new while on 5.0,not even 5.0.1 or 5.02.
And the update just fix the hole from previous update and that like circle over and over.

Because all the fixes and features have been back ported. No need to a version to do that.

guys im rooted using the 1 click method a while back .. can i install update normally and lose root or do i have to completely put stock rom on then update ?
Mine updated to 20u tonight OTA. It all seems much the same as before.

+pardon me. Wasn't the last one 5.0.1 for g3? This one is 5.0 . I'm pretty sure it was 5.0.1.
But the update rised performance, gov change or something, they obviously sacrificed some battery for performance.

In this table only chinese models appear.... For this reason the international Version (04) doesnt appear, but this Will also update...
I haven't even got lolipop yet,still stuck on kitkat,on the 3 network in the UK,poor form Huawei.

aleast huawei provides updates to most of their devices
Other brands don't even provide a single update to $300 and below devices and huawei always gives 2 major upgrades even to 4c and 4x.
I mean, you can actually flash lollipop no problem on 3 UK, I did it. It's just the OTA isn't there yet which means there's something wrong from 3's side, not Huawei.

The name. It's now called Global.
Just find this in Asus
As soon as I found this in Asus.
But there are two oddities:
1- file.Zip is in ZE550KL folder [emoji27] [emoji27]
2- the name of the file says Z00A and even buildprop contained in the zip say the same thing. (build.ze551...) [emoji16] [emoji16]
There is no changelog.

Z00AD 551 Updated successfully, put on internal sd , rebooted got update and installed OK , took a long time at android robot (BLUE line to fill up) but eventually filled and success pheeeew lol

been having issues trying to install this with twrp, it will install then when ask if i want to reboot, when I hit the button to reboot it goes to a black a screen and vibrates, but never boots back up and bricks it.
TWRP can't flash stock ROMs, put back stock recovery.

I can not recognize.
Bevore update I had problems with Sim2 ( "com.android.phone has stopped" more than 20 times a day), now it's fixed and my Sim2 is working again.

No, from previous update experience you have to unroot, uninstall xposed and magisk and flash stock recovery, check the toolkits threads here

I just updated. Before installing magisk/xposed/viper etc etc does anyone know if I must push again libandroid.so from .144 firmware? The .184 and .223 stock versions of that file made installing Xposed causing bootloops...
What is the latest twrp for ZF2? jrior001's 3.0.3-M4 or kapil tapsi's 3.1.0-0-kenzo? I googled and found kenzo is codename for the xiaomi red note 3, but still it is in the zenfone 2 directory next to 3.0.2-M1...
