Samsung image editor crashing in Marshmallow - Galaxy S6 Edge+ Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Since I updated to Marshmallow, when editing an image in Samsung gallery it crashes.
Two scenarios:
1. View a .PNG (for example a screenshot), click edit: crash.
2. View a .JPG, click edit, click effects: crash.
All was fine with Lollipop.
Stock ROM, no root.

30 views and no one who's willing to spend 5 minutes to test this?

Ne problems here, mate. I using much before and after 6.0.1 update. The device is 928f, stock, no rooted. Try to get logcat

Clear data and cache. Try editor with random picture the the internet and then with jpeg from the rear camera. Try log again.

I found and solved the problem but to do so I had to reset the phone.
The filter.provider package has to be enabled.
Strange cos with Lollipop it was disabled and editing was working. Even stranger cos after upgrade to Marshmallow even having all enabled editing was crashing.
After reset editing was working so I started disabling apps one by one (instead of in bulk) and found the culprit.

There is a lot of culprits while using disabler. Check every package before and after disable. Thanks for the info above!

Of course, I know, strange thing is that with the exact same disabled app with Lollipop it was working

2. In addition, I see an unusual … something in the folder sdcard (mount point)
Please see the screenshot 1.
What is it? It is normal for LG? I never see the same on Smasung.
I think that these two bags/feature related.
Please tell me how I can fix it.
Advance - thank you

Edit 2: Some one told me to Format my phone and Restore to backup, so i have put my phone to backup, and lets see if it fixes the issue.
HELP Me: Nothing worked.

hi there,
screen mirroring does not work on modified firmwares so if your device status is not official (i.e. custom) screen mirroring will not work. What you can do is to reflash your firmware to official. OF course you will lose root and your SE for Android Status will be resest to enforcing.
I previously mentioned to follow this, don't know if you got the message or not, http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=55141822&postcount=228
I had the same problem on my samsung galaxy tab s 10.5
This link helped me and I was able to get it work props to who ever came up with this. I was not able to post a link I am sorry for not giving credit.

you're supposed to Replace %IMEI1% and %IMEI2% with your first and second IMEI number, you can find it at the sticker the back of your phone, open the case.
replace %COM% with number of your comport when you open the device manager of your PC.
I'm at lollipop now, but no success rewriting IMEI, look this screenshot.

That is weird. Zygote is an Android daemon that is used to launch apps. It shouldn't be requesting su permissions from the user. Do you give it permission or do you deny? Are you on a custom ROM?

thanks for responding, I'm on stock Rom and I allways deny permission without any issue in launching apps, everything is smooth without errors. I did some researches on that case, and I've found that it was impossible for Zygot to ask for root permission, so I guess it's just a malware, but it's not detected with Avast Pro, I'm really confused
Do you install apps from anywhere other than the playstore? Maybe you need to wipe and reinstall stock through TWRP. It can be hard to find malware by hand.

Yep I Have some alternative shops, I suspected that they were the gate from wich the malware came from so I deleted all of them except Aptoid, but the Evil is already inside now. BTW a wipe is not even to considered since I don't have time to reinstall and reconfigure more than 30 handy tool apps (drive droid, Exposed and its modules, lucky patcher and many more .....). thanks for caring, anyway I'll try to uninstall suspected apps and see.
Good luck.

Device owner already set before purchasing?

I did a factory reset and wiped the cache, several times in a row last night, because I got sick of a few things and wanted to run a test.
I wanted to install IceBox Apps Freezer. You don't need root, so long as you set it to be 'Device Owner' using ADB shell:
Code:
adb shell dpm set-device-owner com.catchingnow.icebox/.receiver.DPMReceiver
The app says to remove all accounts associated with the device in order for that to work. On our tablets (all models) this isn't possible. So I had to find out a way that would clear all 'device owners.' Google itself is very specific about how this is to be done: Factory reset.
Caution: If provisioning has already started, affected devices must be factory reset first.

Since I did that, and didn't register the tablet with Amazon, Managed Provisioning shouldn't apply. However, I followed all the steps, made sure WiFi was and still is off and went into ADB and this is what I got in return:

Um what? Is that even legal?
have you seen anyone having success with Amazon devices?
it's possible they didn't include this feature

As far as I can tell, through all possible methods to gain Device Owner, Amazon has provisioned the devices, en mass, before they are even purchased. Likely done with NFC which is included on the Fires, but is another piece of software Amazon blocks us from accessing and or using. Even a factory reset and attempt to add device owner on language selection screen failed.
IMHO this really should be illegal. What the hell did we actually buy then if we don't own these?
