Larger Capacity Battery for S3 Neo - Galaxy S3 Neo Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello All! I was just wondering whether it is possible to change the battery from the default 2100 mAh to a larger capacity? Like the 7200 or something. My default battery dies in about 2 hours of usage, i use it a lot! Is it possible?
Also to specify ny device is the s3 nep Gt-i9300i

Bumping this thread! Still looking for an answer!

Maybe batteries for the international s3 work on neo too, thought I've never tried this and might be wrong. Anyway your battery seems not good, mine always gets at leaat 3-3:30 hours even with heavy usage

Calling all tab owners!!!

Hey guys,
I am counting the days until the 1st November so I can purchase my Galaxy Tab.
I just have one question for you. What is the battery life like on your Tabs?
I have done a little maths and so far my results have told me that the battery life should be over double the life of a Samsung Galaxy S.
Maths:
Galaxy Tab: 4000 mah
Galaxy S: 1500 mah
Sinse the Galaxy tab has exactly the same specs as the galaxy s, the only thing I could think of that will drain the battery faster is the bigger screen on the tab.
Now lets pretend that the galaxy tab screen is 8 inches, exactly double of the galaxy s. Lets also pretend that the 8 inch screen makes the whole device consume 100% more than the Galaxy S. This means 3000 mah would make the device equivalent to a Galaxy S. That leaves 1000 extra mah!!
These figures are all over estimation so im hoping that it is double the battery life of the Galaxy s.
Are you guys getting these results?
for now im happy with mine
Mine is very good and i am a heavy user.
I can get at least 1.5 days out of it.
Seems good so far. I've been using mine heavily for last three days (typing this on it now) and it's been at about 40% battery when I go to bed and hook it up to the charger.
thanks for the info guys! sounds very good. I cant wait for november 1st!! so you guys think the battery is definatly noticebly better than the battery life of a high end android phone?
its not the best battery but better and can become more better with firmware updates
i have its since last saturday and i am getting decent 1 day battery with heavy usage
Yeah about a day on a full charge. By the way, could I have any problems from using a USB extender cable? The provided cable is pretty short.
Some days its ok, but days when I use 3G connection a lot the battery drains around 5:00 pm.
The battery life on my Galaxy-S phone is much better.
of course I use brightness on max most of the time...

Well, you can think of the issue this way: 8" diagonal vs 4" means 4 times bigger area.
With that said, you can not forget that it uses Super Crystal LCD vs SuperAMOLED
SuperAMOLED display is known as less power consuming than other, since it displays black without consuming power and works extremely hard showing white. So on black themes it is much less consuming than already bigger LCD the Tab got.
Third, the resolution itself. 1024x600 is roughly 2 times more than 800X480 which means twice as much processing power should be spent on exhibiting something on this already bigger, hungrier display.
So. If it was as simple as you think it should have last for a few hour using your equation.
P.S.
Mine is working 1.5 days with moderate usage.
it goes from 8 am to 8 pm but only barely. In fact I did run it down to 10% today. I will be buying a USB cable as soon as I can find one to plug it in in the office. I have 3G, WiFi and Bluetooh turned on all the time an run the screen at a decent brightness level though.
So basically, people with bad batter life have loads of things running (WiFi, 3G, BT) with high brightness.
Sent from my HTC Desire
Yep. Mine will last a full day from 7 am till 10pm. Using it to talk, video, browse and of course games. ..

Since i always post the same problem, battery life could be better, will probably get 8-9 hours, with 3-4 screen time. Gonna keep it stock kernal so its more stable.
i think 2800 mah battery not enough for daily usage

It's 2600 mAh, not 2800 mAh. And why do you think it won't be enough? They're probably making AMOLED even more efficient than it was last year and the new Exynos SoC is up to 30% more efficient than current offers because of the 14 nm half node.
They are slapping power user in the face with non removable battery. Now instead of carrying spare battery I need to bring a chunky PowerBank. Can't Samsung realize they are not apple and they abandon their core audience do them no good?

is it not possible to insert 3000 mAh battery to s6? it won't be more usefull for users? why samsung still parsimonious? s5 has 2800 mAh battery & s4 has 2600 mAh battery and s6 will come with 2600 mAh battery. sometimes i can't understand to Samsung.

Like I said, if these rumors get confirmed, it's quite possible that the GS6 will perform better than current smartphones, even with a smaller battery. Which in that case allows a slimmer, lighter device.
Enviado do meu Galaxy S5
If the phone is getting a QHD Screen I doubt that there will be any better battery results than the other mainstream smartphones.
Just compare the Note 3 vs Note 4.
What about a poll with:
a) I want a phone slim like a post card with 3-5 hours SOT
b) I want a phone slim like a S3/One/Lumia with 12-15 hours SOT

It seems like a non removable battery with 2600mAh

The QHD on the Korean S5 LTE-A had about the same battery life as the US variant. Therefore, the QHD on the S6 should have the same...if not better battery life even with a smaller 2600 battery. I wouldn't worry too much about...my only complaint is that it'll be non-removable

i see bro. thanks for your explanation. i think you will buy a GS6 when it available for users
Since S6 was said to use Exynos7420 instead of Qualcomm........the consumption of cortex A57 would exceed A15 and Krait a lot according to Anandtech

I'll take Option C. A phone that is 12mm thin and has more like 20 hours of SOT.
There's no point in making super powerful smartphones, if we can't use them like the pocket sized PCs that they have evolved into. I'm sure there are many people who would love to use their phone to get actual work done without having to worry about the battery. Also, since batteries wear out over time, I'd rather have a bigger battery than what would seem to be big enough at first.

Because the CPU/GPU only within the same generation range on 1080P(note3) and 2K(note4) though on paper spec. the latter one should be a lot better but still same generation and indeed that kind of power isn't enough to push 2K. Hence, the CPU/GPU will always require to run at a higher clock and battery draining even just on 2D.
S6 is running a whole new CPU with 14nm manufacturing process, the situation should be much better though but I agreed 1080P is enough on a tiny screen and I also prefer more battery life.
Is the battery removable?
I don't think so
The battery will NOT be 2600 for the MILLIONTH TIME. IT'S ANNOYING ME HOW blind all these websites and you lot are. The info is right in front of you the batteries were for G925 WHICH IS THE CODE FOR THE S EDGE. NOT S6
SO WHAT DOES THAT MEAN? S6 WILL BE MORE JUST LIKE WITH THE NOTE
NOTE 4 BATTERY 3220
NOTE EDGE BATTERY 3000
NOW STOP SAYING IT'LL BE 2600.
Its funny to see how rumors, leaks and teasers mess with people's brains and expectations, the media really knows how to get in your heads. We will know by sunday's time, then all of you will really have something solid to criticize until the next device comes up, so just hang in there. I just hope it lasts me the whole day on moderate use, so that I can charge it overnight
Butthurt much?
Battery size difference of 200 mah is meaningless. What matters is actual battery performance. Is there a correlation? Sure. Does every phone last same length of time with the same capacity battery? Hell, no.

problems with battery measurer of s3 neo (i9301i)

Well.
My phone an i9301i (samsung s3 neo spain).
My battery anker 7200 mah.
My ROM now is cyano 4.4.4. Optimized with vulpix rc4.
My problem.
When i use muy phone.. The battery drains quickly. For example facebook in browser intermitently in 8 hours can drain an 50%. I know that battery can do 12-16 hours of screen up. I unplugged The battery from the phone and when the system is up. The measurer of the phone marks an 85-90 %. I'm crazy....
I calibrated the battery in every posible way view in internet and nothing works.
Any ideas.
Is an ROM bug?
Is the ROM only prepared for the stock battery of 2100mah?
Thanks and sorry for my english. Im spanish
Well there ware similar problems before dating to older unofficial CM days that battery doesn't change up to 100% properly. Regularly normal boot up uses 2~3% of normal battery. Chrome does eat battery abnormally much more than web view or Gecko based browsers. Think you're results are actually as they should be concerning SOT time wile browsing but I don't see a reason for complaining there. I use regular sized Anker 2200 mAh & on Official CM12.1 my SOT varies from 4+ h to 6+h depending what I am doing with it & where I am.
I don't know whats the problem. But android shows a battery drain abnormally faster. The battery charge is normal.
Why the difference is much bigger. When the battery arribes a 0 the phone is off...... But in the battery there is an 30-40-50 % energy ....
Im crazy...
Well it actually is regulated by the voltage level & not a capacity... Switch the ROM.
anker battery 7200mah i used too...
just with replace trick was used all capacity of battery
replace the battery and continue use of it... u have higher % after replace and reconnect
Zola. I"ve installed cyano 5.1.1 official. I will say if goles wrong por well.
Needforspiz..... Thats is what i do. But its not the best thing for use The phone. I wish the correct use of battery measurement.
Thanks for yours answers
Somehow android notify the battery is 7200 Mah??????.
i think that this is a value android not change.
The battery has 4 months. The phone has 1 year and half.
What's the problem. Phone or Android?????.................................
Thanks for answer me.

I use s7 edge since release day. Battery detwriorated so much?

Hello people. I use s7 edge ezynos version from the day of release. Dor half a year my battery life became much worth. Tryed everything, reflashing resetting etc etc. Then I've found accubattery. After several charges it gives me information that my battery has 69% of actual capacity 2480 mah from 3600 Should I trust that? Is it normal for battery to detwriorate this much? I vharged it once a day max. At the beginning once in two days or so :/ My much older oneplus one gives 79% of battery capacity and it is the one that was abused by charging twice a day and with heavy gaming etc. Please report your battery states and please give me advice. Should I change batteey on galaxy or should I just leave it like that Is it worth it to give it a new original battery? I am sure water resistance will be gone..

Most of the damage on battery on Samsung devices are caused by fast charging.
And it depends on you is it worth replacing or not, if you think that it lasts for you enough then don't replace it.
Damn. Maybe I will sell it cheap and buy s9 or something..
battery is easy to replace.
battery life is about 1000, so in 2 years it is possible
I never use fast charge as in my opinion it makes the battery cells work faster than they should which damages the battery quicker, the s7 edge charges fast enough anyway without fast charge on

Battery capacity change from 3200 mah to 3600 or more on s7 edge

Hello guys. I need a help with my samsung galaxy s7 edge. The problem is my phone recognize that i have 3200 mah battery but actualy i have 3600. How to change it. I know its only a text but how do you do that. I have rom from KILL SWITCH called black diamond nfe v4. So can any one help me with it step by step instructions. I will be very happy and sory for my bad english
Other than the battery degrading, the actual battery capacity it's probably the same but you just to do a few fully charge then let it die so it can remember iys actual size. Even if you are getting this message, your battery is still the same
