Why is this app not compatible with our (us) phones? We have a snapdragon processor don't we? I loved this app on my LG g4 as it saves tons of battery.

Some of us have had our phones for nearly 2 weeks now, so you would hope with the other SD820 phones out there I might work. I'm not saying Qualcomm care that much, but you would hope they would've added support before launch. I've never used the app to be clear

Yes, but other SD820 phones have also been released globally which was my point. Usually comapbeis prepare apps before the phones launch so they can have everything set to go ahead of time

If you just do a Google search you will be able to find it.
It might not officially support Marshmallow but it works fine. The only option that doesn't work is the "Inactivity Power Boost" because it states that a screen lock is required even though I have one (but guessing it's because I'm using my fingerprint to unlock it instead of older methods), but that's not really needed now anyways since we have Doze.
I also am unable to install the Qualcomm Snapdragon Battery Guru on my S7 Edge purchased just three days ago. In doing some research I found this article which says, in short, that the S7 and S7 Edge phones with the Snapdragon processors are being shipped to the Asian market. Here's the link. The part about the processors/chipsets starts in paragraph 15 - http://www.knowyourmobile.com/mobil...15/samsung-galaxy-s7-release-date-specs-price
UPDATE - I installed CPU-Z and it does say my phone has the Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor so not sure why the Snapdragon Battery Guru isn't compatible.

If you're interested in what your Note looks in the inside, here is a blog entry I found on gsmarena:
http://blog.gsmarena.com/samsung-tears-the-galaxy-note-to-pieces-saves-ifixit-the-effort/#more-26181
The teardown shows that the note has NFC hardware built into it...it just requires the proper software and drivers to enable it.

The article in itself is quite contradictory coz it talks about the international note and shows some other version.. here you can read d lines—
'Samsung has provided detailed descriptions of all the important Galaxy Note functional elements. You should keep in mind that what we have here is the US version of the Note, featuring a Qualcomm chipset and LTE, instead of Exynos and HSPA+.'
The above lines means that the device should be the international Note.

Hey guys
So Google will be releasing their own version of the Galaxy S4 ("Clean" Version) pretty soon.
Will we be getting the chance to install this ROM over our current phones? (i9505 + i9500)
Or is it just for people who bought this specific phone?
Thank you,

With regards to aosp roms, the i9500 is doomed, my friend. Doomed. Anyone compiling aosp for i9500 is wasting their time because exynos 5410 is even worse than 44xx.
So the joke's on you for not buying the qcomm version.

I live in Europe as well but luckily they chose to market the LTE variant here. You could have imported an i9505, though.
Look, what they release on arndale has nothing to do with what they have in their phones. If I'm wrong on that, I'd request an insight from @Entropy512 because he knows a lot about this stuff.

Remember, this is a stock Android UI - so far, nothing more (such as AOSP support) has been announced, and I suspect it's unlikely. So it actually will be of zero benefit for AOSP bringups like CM.
As far as porting it just like porting a TW firmware between Qcom devices? Maybe, I don't know how successful people have been in doing such a thing. (e.g. if they've got it as automated as I did with Hellraiser on the I777).
Since I9500 is Exynos, the Google Edition is of zero use for that device.
As I said long ago when the Google Edition was first announced:
If it's not AOSP supported, it basically means nothing
If it's AOSP supported and qcom, it's nice but not a huge benefit since CAF is already quite good
If it's AOSP supported and Exynos, that's a game changer and would be what would cause me to consider Samsung again. But we know for certain it's not Exynos, and it's highly unlikely it'll be AOSP supported - Samsung's underlying base software is too Samsunged (hacked up) in the non-GE GS4s for them to have AOSP support any time soon. The Google Edition is just covering up their crappy underlying software with a less sucky UI as far as I can tell. We'll know for sure when the device is released.

They won't be able to include Samsung drivers into the device. If you use a non stock rom now watch on won't work because it doesn't know where to find the infrared.
I hope that Google does it right and gets the sensors to work but at this point it doesn't seem like they will. Maybe Samsung will release the drivers someday

Why is KK not an option? I have seen no compelling reason to update to Lollipop, and unless one comes along, I won't.

It really bothers me that every other manufacturer upgrades their system ui except Samsung. They haven't done a ui update to latest TouchWiz since the S1 and S2. I hate that they get away with robbing us of new features on devices we paid $800+.. I've been a loyal Samsung guy, I own everything from their phones, watch, headphones and tvs but I dont think my next phone will be a Samsung. I'm ready to test the waters with LG when the G5 comes. They're getting reckless in a desperate attempt to get their momentum back. With every past Galaxy release they always increased their sales. It wasn't till the S4 that sales started lacking and that's what they get for saturating the market with 20 phones a year. That and the way they halfass their fanbase with these updates.. They cannibalize their own sales smh.

In light of the high possiblity that the S7 Edge will not get root I have been considering returning the phone and wating for the LG G5. So my question Is am I the only one considering returning it over the possiblity of no root?
Sent from my SM-G935P using Tapatalk
No, keeping mine.
I will be keeping mine. I have Exynos but not being able to root would not lead to me retuning the phone as it's not such a big deal to me.
However I understand your reasoning and believe a lot of people will also be returning due to this.
Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk
I'm enjoying it, I don't really need to root since Package Disabler is all I need anyways. Besides if I wanted root, I'd just wait for the next Nexus device.
It's disturbing that we might not get to root... but all is not lost. We don't know what Sprint will do yet.
I've returned mine because it was faulty, and thanks to Samsungs ****ty return policy I had to buy another s7e from a local store, waiting on my refund for the faulty one

My feelings exactly. I love many things about this device but no root means no fun... yes there are a few work arounds but not enough. I hate stupid volume warning message an how I cannot take local backups with twrp an titanium backup. Also. xposed installer.
Back to Note 4 for me. I've been carrying them both around for the past week an surprisingly switching back to the Note 4 isn't that much of a difference justifying worth losing my access to root.
Are people really that negative that the S7 Edge snapdragon varient won't get root?
