Weird thing happens on the s7 edge and my buddy's s7 when playing any game. The game Dims itself out which looks horrible on the brighter screen. Checked the game center settings and the power save is not on. It's very weird... anyone else experiencing this or know a fix?
The same thing happens to me with my S7 Edge, and I can't find a way to fix it either. It's really annoying me.
ok, the solution for now is to disable GameService and GamepadService with Package Disabler.

I have a Telus GS4 and noticed a weird issue today, when I hit the youtube app icon my screen flickers briefly just before youtube opens. It is not noticeable when the brightness is set to high but on low it is very noticeable. This is the only app that does this aside from my TD banking app which was doing the same thing but while I was using it. Anyone else notice this? Did a reset and tested the light sensor and it seems fine but the screen still flickers.
Screen noise/flicker upon turning screen on
Upon turning on the screen, there is a slight flicker/staticy looking noise. Toward the bottom of my lock screen. It's easily replicated, but it doesn't do it every time.
I just want to know if it seems like a defect or it could easily be fixed by an update. Motorola might not even know about it yet.

I'm getting that too.
I filmed mine in slow motion when this happens on it and it appears to be an android software bug. It flashes the home screen then pulls up the latest app or vice versa. its so fast it looks like its just noise though.
you guys sure you didnt turn on the option for it to make a noise on unlock?
Are you guys or anyone else having this problem while being rooted? Because, I only started noticing this problem after I rooted
It happened to me before being rooted, if I had Moto Display on it never showed, it was only until switching to Ambient Display, or to neither Moto or Ambient Display that it started showing up.
Always running Notification
May be because of any always running notification. I too had same problem. Then I uninstalled the app that always used to have a notification running. Now the problem seems to be less frequent or not anymore.
I left my AOD on overnight by accident and i regret it so much, I actually burned in the home button that is shown on the AOD. It's supposed to move around but I guess it doesn't work ver gym well. I can't use any apps that get rid of screen burn for nav bars because nothing else but the home button is shown, and you can't have invert colors on in conjunction with AOD. Is there any way to fix this?
Return it to Samsung is probably your best option. Not sure burn-in can be repaired without replacingg the screen itself.

Hello guys i have the s7 edge with the last update of android 7.0 nougat my device is rooted. Well, when i put my finger on the top of the device where the selfie camera and the speaker exists the brightness is getting low. If i let my finger the brightness is shinny again. I have already turned off the auto brightness no fix. Already tried to reinstall the firmware same problem. Looked on the settings for screen to change some but nothing changed also. My phone never get down . Its not damaged. How to fix this annoying issue pleaseee????????

is edge lighting working for you?
I have mine set up to "always". But when I have my phone locked on the table and receive a notification, nothing happens.
The only option I have is to touch on my display once for the AOD to activate and then I can see the notification icon there.
I am looking for a solution which shows me the notification (with input, not only the icon) for a few seconds and then darkens the screen again.

The Edge lighting seems to work fine for me, I even snagged the Edge Lighting plus app get a few more options. Not with the edge lighting but I am able to tap the notification as it comes in to pull up a quick response pop up, but the phone is unlocked at that point. Not from screen off... security and shat not..
Just checked on my wife's s9 and on the s9 the edge lightning is not working either with screen off.
That's probably how it works in pie with One UI.
Hopefully an update to use a ring around the front camera will be released
