Cannot add card in Samsung Pay - Galaxy S6 Edge+ Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I am having problem entering credit card (master card) in my Samsung Pay app.
When I come to screen where I need to align card with camera for adding credit card it accepts and adds.
But when I enter my name and surname and select Next nothing happens, hangs for minutes!
So,what seems to be the problem? Anyone have similar issues? What seems to be the problem?

[Q] [SOLVED] Forgot my pattern & Email (Password still in mind)

Hallo,
I am using CM7 on my little Samsung Galaxy Y, but forgot the pattern I set.
I tried a lot, and after that, I remembered it again, but it is not useful anymore, it is asking me for my Gmail account, I KNOW the password, but can't remember the email anymore.
How can I get my SMSs (I only need them for very important number there).
Thank you.
Do you have usb debugging on you device? If yes, download android sdk and run those commands:
adb -d shell
sqlite3 data/data/com.android.providers.settings/databases/settings.db
update system set value=0 where name=’lock_pattern_autolock’;
.exit
exit
adb reboot

Click to collapse
or
adb shell rm /data/system/gesture.key
exit
adb reboot

If you dont have, i think a factory reset is needed :/

This might be silly but it might work too (I have not tried but heard that it works) Insert sim card in your Galaxy Y, Dial your number from any where else (Frens cellphones you might pay him for that) Accept the call Don't end call rather press the button one at middle (it minimize your calling process) and navigate to Message and note that number. In that process try this too If play store can be started while minimized calling download any lock-screen application apply that And you should not flash it.
If above didnt work few suggestions Just copy the clockwork mode to SD card (Send it via SD CARD) Now backup the OS and flash it to default rom if you want to use it now for calling purpose or using it and you can revert it's backup and try entering password again in future.
If it really worked Please look at thanks button below

This work-around didn't work for me, it didn't allow me to go anywhere else. But thanks however for the answer

KNOX setup issues.

i recently bought the note 3 which came preinstalled with knox. So i thought i should give it a try. So i went thru all the steps of setting it up but at the end when i hit next, an error message pops up saying
"Your device is not authorized to enter Samsung KNOX mode"
anyone facing this problem or is it just me? i have asked a few of my friends who bought it and yet they dont have the same problem as me.

From what I've read, that happens when your KNOX Warranty is 0x1, which is caused by having flashed a new Recovery, or having rooted your device.

If anyone would've bothered to search what Knox is and how it gets installed...
Knox is a safe enterprise container running in a secure sandbox (container isolation) on Note 3/S4 . Like running another instance of an OS that gets secure VPN to the an enterprise server. On this OS you can install only secure apps, approved by Samsung.
Long story short, in order to work, an IT manager needs to setup a SSO with an enterprise server and also Samsung gets paid a monthly fee for container deployment. It's Samsung that deploys(installs) Knox on your device, when an IT manager request them to do it.
Knox is nothing that has an advantage when using the device as a private one ( an I am not sure why would one need to run Knox on a private machine as long as it's not involved in an enterprise network/mail). It is not an antivirus/antispam thinghy. Is it a Secure Environment that complies with enterprise security protocols ( login/password are not enough); eg. you cannot set up mail connection/remote desktop to an secure enterprise mail/network on a regular Android device because of lack of security parameters. IT managers can remotely access the knox container ( with full privileges, edit /wipe) but they cannot see your private data. Also, all data on Knox is encrypted.

i accept but am getting below error
your device is not authorised to enter knox mode
htc9420, condescending drivel.
Knox works perfectly well on the standard (unrooted) Note 3 without an IT Manager.
Appless, if you are not using in conjunction with work use and an IT manager, you can you use Knox for private use.
Its easy to set up from the Knox icon in the Samsung icon folder.
It is possible it is a fault, or the carrier has disabled the use the of Knox.
You can run a very limited amount of applications only, like the camera, gallery, email, diary, contacts and storage of files.
You can also download a few Knox programmes from the Samsung store.
If you do not get a solution from the Samsung store you may have to open a ticket with Samsung telephone customer support direct and find out the answer.
However be precise what you are asking as likely they will have to go check with a higher level support.

same problem "Your device is not authorized to enter Samsung KNOX mode"
hi any fix to that? "Your device is not authorized to enter Samsung KNOX mode" ?
how to check flag status ?
thx
Hello Press buttons power+home+volume down you will get in the Odin Mode press volume up and you'll see if Knox guaranty is avoid.

Once thing everybody should be aware of its that to moving files to the Knox portion of the phone has to be done through the cloud. No USB - PC connection.
I was setting it up for personal use and was trying to move documents over. I feel this extra step of uploading files (that you want to keep secure) to another service and then downloading them onto the phone is too much hassle.
Plzzz Help!

Here's the reason why you keep facing the error message:
https://www.samsungknox.com/en/system/files/admin-doc/Samsung_KNOX_User_Guide_(Enterprise)_2.pdf
Samsung KNOX cannot be installed on a rooted device. (A rooted device bypasses installed
security features by allowing user-installed software to run privileged commands, potentially
enabling or deleting system files, or allowing access to the device’s operating system or
hardware.)
A warranty bit is applied to the device and Samsung can check whether device is rooted or not by
checking this bit. If an incompatible kernel image is being loaded into memory, the warranty bit is
changed from "0x0" to "0x1". Then it's impossible to install KNOX container on the device and a
KNOX container which is already installed on the device can't be opened.
Samsung KNOX™ User Guide: Enterprise Edition Copyright © 2013 Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd. 28
To Check the Warranty Bit
Boot the device in ODIN Mode to determine if warranty bit has been altered:
1. Simultaneously press Volume down, Home, and Power buttons.
2. When warning screen is displayed, press the Volume up button.
The Warranty Bit Status (“KNOX Warranty Void”) is displayed in upper left hand corner of the
display.

[Q] N900 kitkat microsd card issue

Hey guys. I bought this 64gig micro sd card and I couldnt manage to make it work on my Note 3 (It works on my S3 mini) I started to worry if this is a software issue. I can't write anything but it reads whatever in it. Can you please help me? Thanks!
It's a new "feature" in KitKat, which renders sd cards useless. If you are rooted you can try the xposed module "HandleExternalStorage".

or you can modify your platform.xml file and add read write permissions for media.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1458021
Note: The system can still use the external SD card so you can still move an app to the SD card I believe.
What ROM are you using?
Ah, I forgot something really important. If you have root access, download something like Terminal Emulator and execute:
"su" to get root access and after that:
"restorecon -v -R /data/media"
This often fixes the problem!
Thanks a lot for your help but the issue is I'm still on stock. I couldn't figure out how to root and not void warranty I saw something like triangle away but if that's going to work about warranty bit how am I going to unroot without seeing the warranty bit 1?
Most big apps have been updated to work with the bew permissions. ES file explorer, Quickpic..
No need to root for that.

You should probably use a password with letters, numbers, and symbols to lock your tablet. This will also prevent people from connecting it to a PC to transfer files unless they unlock the tablet first.

How to bypass gesture screen lock on Samsung Galaxy S10+ without losing data

Hi there,
I have Samsung Galaxy S10+ (SM-G975F/DS) in front of me. Device has pattern (gesture) screen lock (3x3) enabled. Phone's owner forgot his gesture. How to bypass this lock without losing data (no factory settings reset option).
What I have tried:
- connect phone over USB trying ADB. Since there is no USB debugging enabled ADB is deaf/blind. I cannot access files in /data/system to delete gesture.key file
- I have tried to connect SD card and install Aroma File Manager https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1646108 but I was not able to mount a card. My tip is, that phone will not recognize new card when such card is inserted in locked regime.
- I have tried "adb sideload aroma-file-manager.zip" but it fails on "signatures". My tip is that you can manually update android only with files signed by manufacturer.
- "dr.fone - Unlock" has no support for Samsung Galaxy S10+
Limitations:
- I'm not able to mount new SD card
- ADB can do only "adb sideload ..."
- USB debugging is disabled
What else to try?
Can I somehow access phone system files using USB?
Easy way is use the Samsung findmymobile site to unlock. If you know the Samsung Account credentials.

This was not so bad advice. I will call on Monday to Samsung and ask them if phone with that IMEI has any Samsung Account.
But still, any other idea?
If he had a PC, it can have the Samsung Account already logged or with login and password saved on Chrome password manager for example.
