Hello there ,
I just installed CM12.1 nightly on my Z2 and it seems I got the normal camera app of cyanogen with very few basic settings/features .
Is there a camera app that can use the hardware potential of Z2 ? 720p : 120fps , 1080p : 60fps ? Most of video camera apps I tried used software slow motion , in VLC media player I still see 29fps .

thanks , but it seems that framework works only on infected cm12.1 firmware wich is dead and also removed from developer's repository

Ohh.. U can use "abetter camera app unlocked" it's a good camera app
Iam using it as the main camera.. Iam using cm12.1 too

could you please tell me if that app is able to record in 720p : 120 FPS ? like stock rom camera does ?
because now I went back on stock rom rooted and if that app does 120fps recording I go back to CM12.1

Nope. It doesn't Just 720P:60Fps
i will search about any good camera app that could record at 120Fps

i found it "Cinema FV-5" it's amazing video recording app support 30-60-120 Fps 720p
Unfortunately doesn't support 4K....

I installed cinema fv-5 and seems to support max 60fps on 1280x720 .... am I missing something ? :-/

no problem , chill , just thanks for all , if I can port the z4 framework to cm12.1 it will be ok , someone said it takes 5 minutes to port it

Hi everyone.
Thanks to an user from Android forums find out that this particular app works nicely with our LG Stylo , i have notice pictures are better than the Native cam app installed on this device.

Thanks you for posting this. I love the phone, but I really hate the camera. This app makes the pictures come out so much more clear.

I just noticed the front camera only goes to 2m. I thought It was supposed to be a 5m camera?

there is no 1080p slow-motion (60 fps) option available.
EDIT : LoL sorry ihad the front camera instead and 1080p 60fps which is slow-motion isn't available LoL

LoL sorry ihad the front camera instead and 1080p 60fps which is slow-motion isn't available LoL, yeah i just did a recorded test using 1080p 60fps (Slow-Motion) and records pretty well, i really don't recommend record video using 60fps unless you are playing to playback at slower rate (24fps or 30fps) for a slow motion effect.

yeah the Tmobile/Metro variant have the LG G3 Camera power so i always expected this kind of quality but LG have Nerfted the camera in the stylo (software wise)

the only close thing we have to the G3 is the Camera as far as i know, CPU,GPU ,Board, Screen Res. is completely different......

opppsssss LoL, well we can use the Xcam for G3 and so far Xcam is the best LG Stock Camera App out there.

Dont use stock photo app...it has very strong Noise reduction at night and bad postprocessing... At day, it sometimes doesnt focus properly on objects... With ProShot,you may see more noise on photos, but more details too.
Grass and trees are bad for photography for any smartphone, because they move.

1. you need unlocked bootloader, keep in mind your warranty and DRM keys will be lost.
2. unless you are already rooted ignore 1.

I already tested Footej cam (with high quality), couple Google cam etc but in this moment is I can say is best camera. I don't know when I make comparison btw LOS stock cam and OP5 (uf that is easy) and EMUI camera btw OP5 (this is no easy) my cam test can bring some reliability... but this take some time

And yes video recording is broken. Says stopped due to an error.
On the latest RROS ( although with B380 base, whatever problem that may or may not cause)
Edit : went back again
Can confirm:
-video recording broken ( stops immediately)
-Panorama broken ( takes 1 still picture, no other response)
- HDR doesn't work ( upper task bar fades on pressing it, won't activate)
-pro mode missing (?)
- Gallery doesn't load thumbnails ( for cam pics)
- can't edit pictures ( gives error )

Please delete this thread. If you want features, you'll need to request it in the respective ROM thread.
Now get this into your head, Redmi 3S can only record at 30fps max. Slow motion video requires atleast 4 times the framerate. Now delete this thread

Huh. I'm embarrassed to say I never realized that because it seemed fast to me, but I never really played back any videos I took on this device in full.
Maybe rooting and adding the Google HDR+ camera or Camera2 api will let you do so, but IDK. I know for sure that the IMX298 is capable of taking 60fps video since other phones with the same sensor can do so. But I don't know how to get it working.
