I did some digging and it looks like this is the model WiFi chip in the S7 Edge: Murata KM5D17074 Wi-Fi module
This tear down covers all the models of each chip on the phone: https://www.ifixit.com/Teardown/Samsung+Galaxy+S7+Edge+Teardown/56845

So its diffrent than the s7? The s7 is on my first post. I seen it on ifixit too. Can u find the specific module info on the murata web? Thx

I beleive it's a Murata KM5D18098 Wifi Module rather than a Murata KM5D17074.

Wifi 2x2 max speed via 5ghz is 866.7 mbps

As the diamond has hsdpa would it be possible to have hsupa workin on it 2 or would that require extra hardware that the diamond dosent have?
I think its daft that you can download at high speed but you limited to standard mobile upload speeds

Even if u enable it on the phone, it may not work on Orange network (I see you are on Orange UK, right?). UK only supports HSUPA on Vodafone, 3 and T-mobile networks I believe. I have never seen Orange announcing support for HSUPA yet. And even if Orange started to support it, it may be limited to just some areas for now.

cant be too picky. acer f1 is the only phone with 1Gzh cpu that works on att 3g on 1900umts band.
att uses 1900 3g band on my local area, so i dont really care about 850 3g.

What build of winmo 6.5 is it running? I was also wondering about the screen. How bright is it? How does the screen compare to HTC devices? And finally, what is your opinion of the build quality of the device?

[Experimental] Flashable firmware package with Oppo Find 7 modem

Since some time I know that the Oppo Find 7 modem is compatible with the OPO as the two devices share almost everything of the parts. I tried to make a Firmware package based on 241 from the OPO and replace the modem with the latest modem for the Find 7 (from v2.1.5i Color OS) and what can I say, I got much better reception in general. Less dropouts, stable LTE at work, where I only sometimes got unstable LTE with the 241 modem.
Feel free to try and report. I'm not responsible if anything breaks, although I can say my phone works without a problem.
Download: AFH
Contains:
- 241 base from Oneplus One
- NON-HLOS.bin from latest stable Color OS v2.1.5i (Oppo Find 7)

Modem shouldn't have anything to do with wifi. However I am also facing some wifi drops even with the stock OPO modem (Can't use any Sultan build because of wifi problems at home, standard Lineage works ok but also disconnects sometimes)

As compared to original 241 it doesn't have any benifit on other hand it ruined my LTE network no network at all, after scanning it gots for a seconds and goes away.
Reverted back and everything is fine. I am not blaming but sharing my original experience.

LTE Band Locking:

Hey Guys,
I'm planning to buy this device but before that I would like to know if Pro M2 allows you to Lock LTE Frequency using *#*#4636 *#*#* ? . I recently came across some brands like Samsung blocks Engineer Mode for LTE access(*#*#0011#*#*).
I knew most of the Stock Android phones do allow LTE Band access so curious if Pro M2 supports from the real life users ! Thanks !

Wifi ac - 5Ghz and Redmi 3s

Maybe I'm a little lost, but I've read on Wikipedia that our device's SOC has wifi ac and 5 Ghz capabilities. I've gone to Qualcomm web and, effectively, it has:
https://www.qualcomm.com/products/snapdragon-430-mobile-platform
But, is there any ROM able to unearth this feature?
Edit: I guess it lacks a proper... antenna?
