USB Debug works great
Possible to enable OEM Lock via ODIN or ADB ?
Everything is blocked by FRP Lock
######
Hi all,
Regarding s6 edge plus, I have a SM-G928I, is it possible to enable usb debugging without going into developer options ? A friend bought a second hand phone and its locked to an account unfortunately, and ODIN wont connect so ican root/reflash due to im assuming the usb debugging not being enabled.
I'm trying to save him some money by paying a repair shop >.< any tips?
Thanks
Anyone?
They sure are nice phones, the screen real estate vs my HTC one m9 is certainly noticeable
Did you install Samsung USB drivers and plugged phone in download mode? Can try also going to recovery and performing factory reset
Have installed samsung drivers, i can see the phone on the PC as a drive to load data to, but odin doesn't see it.
Factory reset seems to still have the account linked, a security feature of 5.1 i'm sure.
I'm getting a copy of the stock rom from sammobile
http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/database/SM-G928I/
fingers crossed i can use this and it recognises it if i just replace the stock file
can it be forced via adb?
Okay so turns out i'm thinking of the wrong thing. USB Debug works., great can interface via ODIN and ADB.
Is it possible to enable "OEM Unlock' via command line interface of adb, or ODIN ? without access to the OS this is making life hard
Flash stock firmware. You need to flash stock firmware to access the OS and then enable OEM Unlock. There is no other way. You cannot charge it even without enabling it.
AFTER ROOTING MAKE SURE NOT TO DISABLE OEM UNLOCK.
I tried that, flashed stock firmware from sammob but it still wants the sellers Gmail account has he bought a brick?
Do a factory reset after ODIN flash. Flash TWRP, access recovery, format system, cache and data (including internal) and then check.
thanks, will update soon
Stock firmware flash works
Factory reset / cache clear works
Flashing TWRP fails due to FRP lock , due to the OEM Unlock not being enabled im assuming
"Custom Binary(RECOVERY) Blocked by FRP Lock"
I'm sorry but I think you are locked out of the phone.
It certainly seems that way. its always frustrating as a geek to be defeated

Hi, I've bought a phone with same condition.
Have you solved the problem?
Sure have, I obtained a file which allows you into the settings from the Google lock screen which allows you to enable OEM unlock. Due to the legalities though I'm not sure it's allowed to share this here though
can you please post/send me this file ? and instructions, i assume you flash it via Odin/adb

Hi, I'm facing the same situation, can you send me the procedure and file you followed to enable the oem unlock?

I downloaded Nougat's UK unlocked official firmware (BTU), factory reset my phone and flashed the firmware via Odin. One thing I forgot, though, was to OEM Unlock it through the settings and now I can't get in. It tells me that my Google password has been changed in the last 24 hours and I can't login like that after a factory reset - I checked and the password most definitely hasn't changed. What to do? Please help as it's quite urgent.

It should work if you put the same username and password, no doubt about that. I did it 2 hours ago. Didn't activate oem unlock but there were no issues
Flash stock in Odin.
Hello, I need to access Galaxy Tab SM-P585 which belonged to a friend who has passed away, so pattern, pin and Google account info are unknown. Also firmware is original from Samsung, developer mode is disabled and OEM locked. The only options available are recovery mode, where I can do a factory reset or enter sideload mode, and download mode. I have found this guide https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=49666433 to bypass pattern but custom recovery is needed to use either Pattern Password Disable or Aroma File Manager methods. Then I have tried to install TWRP via this guide https://forum.xda-developers.com/ga...covery-official-twrp-galaxy-tab-10-1-t3473023 via Odin however device returns error "Blocked by FRP Lock" which from my search is either Google or Samsung https://www.samsung.com/us/support/frp/ Is there a way to access this device without factory reset?
Regards

Try and reflash it using Odin with a stock firmware, that might work. Get your firmware from Sam Mobile firmwares. Just make sure you get the exact corresponding firmware...
Let me know how you go...

Thanks, I've looked up for SM-P585 model but found only firmwares for ME and Africa. Tried with South African version but got SECURE CHECK FAILED (BOOTLOADER) error, which I believe is because it is not exactly the same version. From the recovery menu I've found out that I need 7.0/NRD90M/T585XXU2BRB2 version (multi region) so now downloading from samsunggalaxyrom and getdroidtips. I'll see how it goes with either one...
P.S. From the instructions "Use CSC_*** if you want to do a clean flash or HOME_CSC_*** if you want to keep your apps and data." so I'll use HOME_CSC_ file to keep apps and the data.

If you use CSC it will wipe the device along with any security measures set up and basically put the device back to factory setup.

Unfortunately HOME_CSC didn't work, security settings were still there, so I have applied CSC. However now FRP requires me to logon using original Google account, even after factory reset, so this functionally means that device is only for a dumpster?

Not at all, FRP can be bypassed.
Hey All
Was looking for some help. I have a Galaxy sm-t550 with a passcode lock. I am unable to do a hard reset (holding down power + volume up + home button) because this device has been locked to an MDM, so that option is out.
I have successfully flashed the stock firmware using Odin downloaded from SamMobile. The issue is that is hasn't erased the user data and I'm back where I started. The only file contained in the download was the AP file (No BL or CSC). Is there a way to flash with Odin using this file to completely erase the old user data? Maybe it's simple but couldn't find this exact situation on the forum.
Thanks!

It's through my company that uses an MDM. User forgot passcode and it's not connect to WiFi so can't sync remotely.
Current build is 6.0. Just flashing to 7.0.1 T550XXU1CQJ6

Ok. Well, I flashed to T550XXU1CQJ6 but I can always flash back to 6.0.1.
Do you know of any solutions?

Install the combination firmware then factory reset from settings. Hopefully it should wipe mdm.
Enable OEM unlock also in developer settings if it's available.

I'm in the same boat. Son bought a tablet on Offerup. Dude quickly removed his seller profile. Son didn't even test to see if the device was locked as the buyer quote on quote told him "That the device was just dead and needed a charge." Device can't be factory reset due to MDM lock.
No idea what the password may be.
Unable to reach encryption settings to force the device to wipe itself due to a password..
Feels like he just bought a really expensive paperweight. Mind helping? I'll post any other information that is needed.

Have You fixed it yet?
I'd say pop a sim card in and sync it with the mdm database
Cannot find a way to do it otherwise,
As in the title, it doesn't show the option to unlock oem. I tried changing time, updating etc. Tablet is on version 7.1.1 right now.
Have you unlocked developer options?

First of all, you don't "unlock oem". You enable "OEM" mode. And if it isn't an option in Developer options, then it probably isn't needed. All enabling OEM does is disable the FRP lock. (Factory Reset Protection) If the tablet is protected, it just means you will need the Google Account info, login and password, to get back into the tablet after a Factory Reset. If you are in doubt, just remove all of the current google accounts before resetting.

I have no idea what stage you are currently but if unlocked the bootloader, then that already caused a factory reset. If you did it right and flashed the current stock ROM, and then rebooted, connected wifi and skipped the rest of the setup, as the instructions said, then there shouldn't be a google account. Then when you enable Dev mode, you are ready to boot to download and flash the LOS ROM with Odin. That will also flash TWRP.

There are instructions in the "Guides, News and Dicussions" thread.
edit: I just noticed that you say your tablet is 9.7". Just what is the model? If it is an older model, it won't have a locked bootloader. But you'll have to find a ROM for your tablet and follow the instruction for it. Every model Tab A has its own custom ROMs and you can't use ROMs for any other model.
