2nd boot and 2init boot differences

So im trying to flash custom rom to my sister's defy mb525.I have rooted and flashed 2nd init boot recovery.But im not sure which rom is complatible.I see in some roms the 2nd boot support but im not sure if its the same.Sorry if its answered again but i couldnt find anything

Now you can flash any ROM through the recovery (except CM10.2). If your phone is a green lens then use 2ndboot ROMs as the camera and battery work fine. If it is a red lens phone, then you can flash any ROM.

[Q] Need Help! I was a Noob! EFS partition gone :(

I was acting like a "nube" & deleted my efs system files So now my Note 4 ( SM-N910W8 Telus/Koodo )boots with no ESN# is there anyway to rebuild this as I have my ESN#. I must add that I did do a nandroid backup image but my portable HD has fried. Any help would be appreciated.

Try to flash a recovery and see if it works

i made a mistake and did this but fixed it by flashing through odin the correct modem and bootloader from alexander thread. everything was back to ok once i did this

Wow. I guess it's time to finally get my bootloader unlocked, since my device is out of warranty for quite some time, anyways. Thanks for letting us know!
One stupid question: since recoveries on the Z2 tablet are somewhat kernel dependend, does this ROM come with a recovery? Or would I just install XZDualRecovery once I flashed AOSPA?

Aospa kernel uses fotakernel recovery xzdual will not work
You can follow my aosp thread there are instructions for recovery and twrp can be downladed there too
Pa and aosp uses the same recovery implimenation

Great, thanks a lot for the information! Just skimmed through your thread and couldn't find why there are two TWRP image files in the recoveries directory. Did I miss anything?

Those are two versions 3.0.0.0 and 2.8.7.0 and thats the Difference between the files

Ive just flashed it on my European H815.
No custom boot animation / sound
It's not carier branded in any way
Software version: V20i-EUR-XX with Android security patch level dated 2016-09-1
UPDATE:
Funny thing happened, it actually downloaded my carrier (Telenor) bloat-ware in the background, and changed wallpaper too.
All that apps can be uninstalled, fortunately.

Any other change beside security patch?

Can I dirty flash (without wipe) from V20g?

I have seen a lot of posts from you with new Roms. How do you even find them? There was an account on Twitter called LG_Firmware that did the same thing, but they listed all new Roms for all LG devices (I think it could be done by sniffing certain webpages). Thank you for this and for the next leaks. I hope to see a V30 from you soon

Yep. I just did a dirty flash coming from V20g-EUR-XX. Everything is working well. And interesting: Antutu shows 6000 Points more then before

Right click, save as, in chrome is failing. It tries to download a file called downloader.dev and fails with 'no such file'

On chrome I usually click on the link and it opens a new tab where nothings happens, I click refresh (CRTL + R) and it opens de new windows for download.

Is there a new modem inside of this Rom?

I just dirty flashed from V20g and everything went well. However, I don't know what's changed from V20g.

If i am rooted with Magisk, and i unroot by flashing the magisk uninstaller, will i be able to update normally, like a non-root user?

Not sure on this, but if we use Magisk Hide to hide root from System Update, I think we might get normal update. Haven't tried this.

Don't do that....!!..You can flash partial OTA's only through stock recovery ...
When you have twrp installed you need the full ROM zip...

Yes, but after flashing new zip, don't boot to system. Remain in recovery and flash Super SU or Magisk.

Hi,
if you want the small ota (for flashing with stock recovery) better try a vpn (like opera vpn), select germany or canada and do the update

I know, but I preffer the OTA link, never used VPN.

Has anyone else seen this splash screen, while looking for the update in the settings app? Does this mean I am downloading the full update and can flash this with the installed TWRP recovery? The file I'm downloading right now is about 1,4 GB...

Wipe dalvick & cache ...Flash ROM ..flash supersu or magisk..
Reboot to system....

I have seen the download which is available via mega.nz. If you would like to check, you can take a look if file name, file size and md5 hash are matching with my observations.
