Hi guys,
I had darky's rom on my phone and then i had to factory reset it. It was working fine after the factory reset. I wanted to go back to stock firmware since i was planning on taking my phone to the Bell store tomorrow but in doing so i bricked my phone. Now all it does is show the boot screen and then the screen turns black and it keeps on vibrating randomly.
Can anyone PLEASE help me with this? I wanna go back to stock firmware if possible, or any firmware really i just wanna get my phone working. please help

What version of darky's rom were you using and which stock firmware version did you want to go back to?
It could be that you were using a version of darky's rom that is gingerbread and you flashed back to the froyo stock rom.

Ok, try to turn on the phone pressing VOLUME DOWN+HOME+POWER and see if the phone goes in Download Mode.
Then, follow the guides that you can find in the forum and flash with ODIN a new ROM (I suggest JS8 if you're in EUROPE, Froyo 2.2.1)
Download Mode work ? 3 buttons holding Vol down+home+power

Here is a link to the official stock Bell JL2 firmware, there is a slightly newer one but i can't find the link and this should work fine.
You will need to use Odin to flash the file
*edit; forgot the link. http://www.multiupload.com/UTFJCCIP5H
download a stock Eclair or Froyo Rom from samfirmware.com with (512.pit,PDA,MODEM,CSC) get in download mode (vol up+power+menu all at the same time) flash via ODIN DO NOT UNPLUG wait till full flash make shure you have at least 60% battery left before flashing
if it dosen't work search around you'll find some methods its not bricked its just in a continuous loop
i tried flashing with that link you gave, but ODIN doesnt do anything after this
<ID:0/004> Added!!
<ID:0/004> Odin v.3 engine (ID:4)..
<ID:0/004> File analysis..
<ID:0/004> SetupConnection..

Did you add the tar file to the PDA section of Odin? That should be all that's needed in odin, no repartition, no pit file and the Tar file that was extracted from the Zip file placed in the PDA section of odin.
I forgot to add, did you run Odin as an administrator?

Here is the thread where i got the link to the Rom from, i'm reading through it now to see if there are any similar problems http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=883568
According to post #45 on that thread you should flash the rom with the 'Phone Bootloader Update' option checked.
I'm not 100% certain on that and don't want to give you some wrong advice but if i remember right, it was the new bootloader in JL2 that fixed the SD card problems that the Bell vibrants had. It's up to you if you want to try flashing the file with that option checked. Unless you get some better advice.

They'll send it off to the repair centre and try to determine and fix the problem. If they think the problem was caused by you then they might try to charge you a fee for fixing it.
Have you installed Kies on your laptop before (just to know if you have the samsung drivers that come with it installed)
If it has come to the point where you're thinking of bringing it to the store then, personally, i would try flashing the JL2 rom with the update bootloader option checked. That's just what i'd do personally though.
It could also be something simple like trying to flash it from a different usb port.

Yea, that was the problem; now I remember! Some months ago, I had your same problem (an apparent brick, vibrating on the big S at the startup). A user suggested me to simply flash a FW with a Bootloader (at the time, the JPU), ad it worked ^^

i was in the same position a few months ago and the JL2 rom helped me out. I keep a copy of it on my harddrive to use if things go tits up again.
My phone just suddenly stopped working earlier today.it was running the latest omega rom with the latest modem and boot loader. ...
I cant get into recovery either. When I try it just reboots and goes to the samsung boot screen.my phone is a sim free insurance replacement and im not sure what stock rom to flash...
Could some nice soul just tell me the exact rom thats needed.
Its a uk based I9505 .
Please some one help as im away from home atm and have no way of contacting anyone.i have laptop and a dongle so can at least download and flash.
What ever has happened has corrupted it somehow.
I can still get into download mode how ever.
Id be eternally grateful if there is some nice soul to.help me
Just download and flash this with the latest Odin. Boot in download mode.
http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/3/?download=33356
This is the latest German FW that Omega is based. It has the "OXA" Multi-CSC, which also includes BTU (United Kingdom)
After flash you will not have any problem retrieving all your data, as long as you don't factory reset.

If it remains on the Samsung boot logo, then try to flash the same firmware with the .pit file and "Re-Partition" flag checked in Odin.
If still doesn't boot, then you have to enter recovery mode to wipe data/factory reset the device

Oke, just do the following:
- Disable Kies in windows task manager
- Pull the battery and wait 20 seconds
- Boot into downloadmode and connect to the pc
- Untick Auto Reboot in Odin 3.09 and place the rom in AP
- Hit start and when done pull the battery
- Boot into recovery and data factory reset and boot.

If you bought yours from a reputable seller, you don't have to worry about this but there are some fake galaxy s5 around. There are some differences that you can observe.
Hopefully this is not the case with yours.

Well I bought it from amazon. It seemed legit and it looks legit for the most part except the sticker on the inside behind the battery where it says g900f is in Chinese and I heard its not supposed to be.
And I teamviewed with gee , he made sure everything in Odin was set up correctly. It was, we thought maybe the file was corrupt so I download it again from another source and it didn't help.
Any ideas on how I can fix this assuming it is not. Fake?
hi so i have a sm-g900a that i put the twisted lollipop rom (android 5.0) on, my camera failed so a tried to reflash the rom and it bricked so i attemted to do a factory reset using odin but to no avail. it still shows custom on the boot screen and freezes.
im not good with this kind of stuff i hope i didnt really screw up these things are expensive lol. thanks in advance
how did you install the rom in the firstplace? did you use safestrap? The ATT S5 has a locked bootloader, so it's usually not so easy to install a custom rom.
Anyway, can you get into the recovery menu and do a factory reset?

You'll have to download the stock rom from sammobile and flash it with Odin. Your phone definitely isn't bricked.
just tried that and its still doing the same thing. is it because it was updated to 5.0?
wouldnt clicking on repartion in odin reset everything?

nand write start!!
, fail! (auth),

complete(write) operation failed
im going to try downloading the firmwares elsewhere and see if it helps
btw nand erase all and re-partion were both checked
nevermind i got odin to work, i added the "bl" md5 and had to remove it since att has the boot loader locked (i have the feeling the bootloader somehow got altered and is causeing this problem) . so the phone is still doing the same thing i get the screen that says "galaxy s5 (showes a open lock) custom powered by android" then goes to the screen with the animated samsung boot image and freezes halveway though screen goes black and the blue led comes on even though it isnt pluged in
Bump
come on there must be something i can do. ive tried probably 20 times with odin doing the factory reset. im completely lost on what to do. could at&t do a full wipe and reflash?

A 910F with a Verizon mobo?
Might be tricky to flash.
You can access download mode?
Tried different cables / USB ports?
I really doubt that you can flash stock ROM from SD when phone is boot looping.
Maybe with terminal but you would have to flash TWRP for that first.
