Hi again, i asked to live support is this a pre upgrade for marshmalow and if it is when can i get the upgrade. And he said '' There is no offical information about upgrade or not upgrade but if it s it will be publish in Htc.com. And last upgrade was for security patch. It has been confirmed that the SGS2 will get Icecream sandwich now when we gonna get is another thing, only bet is if Sammobile can get an early leak for us before its officially released which I dont see happening in atleast another six months has they will defo give atleast 3 months for the nexus to sell before pumping it out for the other phones

Samsung italy said that ICS will be released in Q2. Maybe earlier there will be some leak
Given that the source code is out there, would any of the custom rom developers be working on it? or do they wait for an official samsung release before customising. I am new to the whole thing
Hell, if one of them wanted to go crazy with it they could make a fortune selling it at a couple bucks a pop It's probably against the spirit of the whole thing though.

The source code for ICS has not been released yet and won't be until the Galaxy Nexus is released.
When it is released, ICS ROMs will be a dime a dozen. Some will be great, some will suck ****. With Cyanogenmod being free, no one will pay for another rom. Charging for a hacked rom might also land someone in some legal hot water.

In fact Sams have confirmed that Note 2 and S3 will get the 4.2 update but there is no schedule yet. And what i think?

Well. It's not a first time when Samsung promising an update and than delaying it for ages. In my pinion we can expect 4.2.2 to be relised after note 3 arrival. That why I'm a happy user of custom rom. Alliance Rom 3.1 is the best I've tried till now.:thumbup:

Android 4.2 is overrated in my opinion, there's nothing really major. If anything, Android 4.2 is known to be buggy and battery life is worse compared to 4.1 which is very stable. But it's great to be on the latest version of android....

that page doesn't always get updated in a timely matter...if you go to the specific Sprint HTC 10 page, it's usually updated before the rom downloads page....and even then, the device specific page sometimes is updated late & sometimes even early.
I would think we would be seeing the 1.9x update soon...if anyone sees the ota, hit me up!

Look, nobody "knows" when an OTA will drop. Even those of us testing pre-release versions of ROMs have no idea when they will become "official" (and, since they're test ROMs, they don't usually become the "retail" version of the ROM). Asking when things will be out is just a waste of time, and generally is frowned upon here.
