Okay, here's my beef. I have a BT streaming stereo in my car that does calls, plays music, etc via my Android (Lollipop Note 3) device. Anyway, I was reading on line before I got this U8 watch that both would be simultaneously connected to the phone---- well kind of. Meaning I can ONLY play music or ONLY make calls from the stereo but not both...I have to disconnect BT and reconnect every time I get out of the car.
Am I missing something? This kind of defeats the purpose. Is there a program that will automatically connect to the stereo when in the car and the watch when I'm not----I could live with that.

well the title is clear, my car Mercedes Benz take my Advantage as its phone, i tranfered my contacts and i dial and talk using the car, i was thinking maybe instead of burning the songs i have on my advantage i would just play them of the advantage using the phone system and speakers of the cars, so far i tried audio toggle which works fine with my jabra to transfer sound from and to headset but when connectect to my car it does't work, now i noticed that while the music is supposed to be playing from the car, and i dial any number i get the music appearing for a second from the car system before it actialy starts ringing on the other side or what where, which means if there is a way to suggest to my car that its actually calling someone while its not it could play music from my car system, can anyone scratch there head with me, also know the services found on the car are Handsfree BT profile not more
I'm considering putting a new stero in the car but if I do I want to get one with bluetooth that will work with my XV6800. Does anyone out there have one that they are happy with? Handsfree dialing, access to contacts and streaming MP3s to the stereo would all be nice features to have.
Try Sony radios?
Me and my wife have the Sony BT2600 each. Reasonably priced below 200 and will bluetooth phone and stream audio as well (she has the Instinct and I have the htc 6800). You can't upload contacts to the radio but it will use the voice tags stored on your phone. The radio has a built in mic with abilty to adjust mic level from low to high. I love when I stream mp3's/listen to radio stations, the radio cuts to the phone and then resumes when u hang up. The phone's ringtone doesn't play through the speakers. Instead, a series of beeps play through the speakers alerting you to the call.
My wife's phone/audio connects to the radio automatically when her stereo is on. Mine, however, will connect the phone automatically, but I have to manually connect the bluetoothed audio. Not a problem though, all I have to do is press button 6 on the stereo and it will automatically connect the last device. For a budget stereo, I don't know what I'd do without it : )
Best Buy does have some Bluetooth stereos (that's where I got ours) but beware. Some stereos are bluetooth ready and need an adapter/accessory to bring bluetooth functionality to the stereo.
I had read a few reviews of the Sony units where people say that people they are talking to through the stereo couldn't hear them well. Some of them thought it was because of the placement of the microphone on the stereo. Do you not have any issues talking to people through yours?
Finally got bluetooth in my car stereo and reviewed some threads prior to posting, but not sure anyone asked / answered the question I have. I'm basically wondering how people are using their bluetooth stereo's. From what I can tell so far I have 2 options.
1. Phone pairs, i listen to my car stereo and if a phone call comes in the stereo picks up the call if i say, and upon completion back to my car stereo
2. Phone pairs, put the car into BT Audio mode and stream audio from my phone including phone calls.
The problem is, i'm looking for a way to combine both. For example I'd like to be able to listen to my car stereo, and if i get a notification i hear it over the radio, not just phone calls. I haven't tried yet, but i'm guessing the nav will be the same way, if i'm listening to the stereo and running nav on my phone i will get no turn by turn like i would if i was listening to music on my phone and running nav.
Is there a way to do this? Am I missing something? I have the Sony Xplōd™ MEX-BT3900U. Is this a limitation of my stereo, or just not how most people use their bluetooth?
I just ordered a replacement radio as well with BT support. I'd be curious wth what other people have to say with experience as well.
I use this all the time.
Both options will work provided the head unit you bought supports media streaming.
Your phone will connect both phone and media over Bluetooth. You listen to your media and if a call comes in you can take it while the media is paused. Media will resume after call completed.
Notifications and navigation will pause and resume media as needed.

I've found the quality of the audio over bluetooth to be very degraded. Have a rear AUX 1/8th port and run a cable to mount, Then use BT headset for all if need be, but have Pandora playing Excision & Downlink radio the entire time
Will the gear stay connected when I get into my car and the bluetooth connects to my phone? I use bluetooth music in my car and I'm wondering if both bluetooth devices(gear and car) will stay connected. Anybody know the answer to this?
I have the Nexus 5 (PA 4.45 installed) with the LG Watch (Stock)
- at the same time connected to a bluetooth-headset (Sony mw-600) and both work fine at the same time.
So I can hear Music via Bluetooth and when I get a call I accept the call on the watch and speak via the bt headest when I am doing sports.
Also Skip forward a song for example works fine on the watch and the headset, both display the song or when someone calls the name/number.
- Watch and Car are connected at the same time, so I say "ok google call xxx" and the connection is done and I can speak via the original integrated bt-connection of my car. Also if someone calls, I can accept via the watch or the car-integrated solution. Car is a Seat Ibiza (6J)
so I would assume it works with all "VW cars" like VW SEAT SKODA AUDI etc. BT-Music is not working at all (even without watch) in my car.
So connecting at the same time is possible without any hacks etc. (at least for me

I have an '07 Audi with an aftermarket A2DP mod, so I can stream music from my phone (it's all I use for music nowadays). One of the nice things about Wear is that as soon as I say "OK Google" or the watch starts listening, it actually pauses the music playing in my car so I can talk. As soon as it stops listening, it resumes my music. Quite fancy. When I answer a call with the watch, it also picks it up flawlessly in the car, switching to carphone mode.
Awesome thanks guys!! Picking up the gear live tomorrow and I have a car with stock Bluetooth. So good to know this works.

I have an old Nokia BH-106 bluetooth earphone, it can not connect to my watch.
I have a VS980 connect to LG G Watch version 5.0.1, and a Lexus RX350, I have to restart my G Watch first( disconnect bluetooth), and connect to my car can success. it is rather frustrating.
I just received my gv18 smartwatch and other than struggling with the on screen keyboard I'm liking it so far although the vibrate is very weak. Could someone tell me how I could use this with a bluetooth headset as at the moment when connected to my smartphone all audio comes through the watch. I hope this is possible as being able to use a bluetooth headset is one of the main reasons I got this but if I cant control the phones music to play by bluetooth or connect watch to headset I might have to sell it. EDIT I have worked out how to do this it has to be done in the google music app but question remains how do I connect the watch to bluetooth headset? Lastly I don't need Nfc so is it possible that a 22mm straight end strap will fit?
Watch straps are changeable and I can confirm that there does not seem to be a way of connecting bluetooth headset to the watch
Ive managed to get my watch to find headphones but pairing fails
