Hi everyone. I was using my phone with stock rom for a while ans I wanted to pass to Miui cuz I heard 4.4.2 will be released soon.
I downloaded TWRP and tried to flash as I did everytime before with Odin. I flashed it and it rebooted, odin showed Pass with no errors, but when I tried to launch the recovery, it is still stock. I don't know what I'm doing wrong. I flashed it like this before and they always worked but this is not working. Is there another way to install this? I don't have root access but it wasn't an issue before. I have the usb drivers installed and debugging on. It was tricky to install drivers on Win 8.1 but it seems like installed correctly as it didn't showed an error.
Waiting for an answer please. I hate this exynos phone but my parents just not allowing me to sell this.

Nope. It still opens up the stock recovery. Anymore solutions?
You tried to install one in the stock recovery? A zip file of the Recovery?

I tried installing Miui in the stock rom but it didn't work. Perhaps the last updates did something? Cuz I was able to do this with ease. Maybe downgrading to the first stock 4.4.2 will work but it takes a lot of time and I'm sick of this. Thanks anyway, I'll boost your thanks meter by one more for trying to help

The rom you are currently on has nothing to do with your inability to flash the recovery. It's a completely different thing.
Uncheck auto-reboot before you flash the recovery. That should probably fix it.

You can maybe look for the latest official firmware from samsung and flash it. And after that try again the recovery. Here the Link: http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/1/
FIXED!

Center Clock ~
Hi
I'm looking for have only battery text percentage.
Can anyone help me?
Sad to report, not sure if its my setup or this version of this mod but after a clean factory images update from LMY7D to LMY47I this mod will no longer work for me. It would successfully flash from TWRP 2.8.6.0 but with no change after booting up. Anyone else having this issue? maybe an update is needed for this mod.
Not working on my Nexus 5 running 5.1
(flashed with twrp)
it worked on my LMY47I

OMG! I got it to work! it was TWRP. Not sure why the mod was working for others on LMY47I but not for me. The only thing that I could think of was that when I updated to LMY47I I also updated TWRP from 2.8.5.3 to 2.8.6.0 and I flashed the mod with 2.8.6.0. Just to make sure I used Flashify to re-flash TWRP back to 2.8.5.3 and re-try flashing the mod and IT WORKED! :good:
edit:
better late then never. TWRP 2.8.6.0 seems to be having lots of issues. http://forum.xda-developers.com/goo...h-recovery-t2511507/post59695750#post59695750

My oneplus 2 has been working well. I used to install a lot of custom roms. But after installing OTA 6.0.1, my twrp was gone, i also lost root access. Then i tried to flash twrp or stock recovery, but i couldn't. I gave fastboot instructions to erase user data. Then i booted the device and now my stock rom was not working.
Now i'm left with my phone with a corrupted rom, no recovery. I can only access fastboot mode. Please help asap.
Thank You.

Follow the instructions on the link below and your phone would be as good as new. Method 2 or 3 preferably.

next time you better read all the information about lollipop and marshmalloe firmware.....if you want to try again follow the instructions in order not to lose recovery and search how to swich between customs roms and mm official ones
Also, you should read up on the two different bootloaders on this phone and which ROMs and recoverys they're compatible with.
are you on twrp??? wanna go back to emui for some reason??cant waste data or time to restore the entire lollipop firmware then again update??
then, this is the right place, i , for most of the time , will use emui for the latest volte update, with twrp and root, but if i have to test something, then its a big head ache to me to do
restore entire system of lollipop backup, then again updating to mm for custom roms..
seems like bit of a double work???
then recently , i just pulled my b360 recvery only by manually booting twrp
and im sharing it with you..
DOWNLOAD
B360_STOCK_RECOVERY
INSTRUCTIONS:
download the zip
do EXTRAT FILES HERE (IMPORTANT)
and coppy extracted recovery folder into twrp/backups/
boot into twrp
select restore menu
restore recovery
reboot recovery
noow, you should see stock recovery
ps: i have tested it while i was on b360, and it should work well with any custom rom
hit thanks if this helped you

Please understand what I said, it is a stock recovery, not any Rom,, it's a recovery just like twrp but you cannot do backup and restore anything..
No, you cannot restore any backups after performing the steps provided by me..
Please read the entire op, I mentioned to use this if you want to revert back to stock,
And this cannot be used with any other custom roms
