Has anyone replaced the digitizer (without replacing the LCD screen)? If so, where did you get the replacement digitizer from? I'm looking on eBay, but I think what I'm seeing does not include the digitizer, just replacement glass. I don't want to buy a whole new LCD screen, I'd rather just pull it apart and replace the digitizer.
If anyone has some good links on where to buy, it would be appreciated!

I replaced my lcd and now im going to replace the digitizer I noticed there is some sort of rubber that goes on the outside of the digitizer, is that reusable? Do I really need it with the new one?
Folks
cracked the screen and my question is, what do i need to buy?
looking on ebay and the have Touch Screen Digitizer Glass Lens and then there is the more expensive Screen Assembly.
the screen is unresponsive but the lcd isn't cracked, would i get away with just replacing the touch screen and digitiizer or do i need the screen assembly?
Many thanks for your replies
Paul
Unless you have the skills and tools for separating the glass digitizer from the LCD, you're better off just getting the front assembly that has been pulled from another N4 like this one and fixing your phone in a few minutes (if you already know how to open the N4, which is really easy to do.)
Hello guys
Two days ago I dropped my G2. I assumed that since it was Gorilla Glass it would be fine, and since it fell from just 3 ft high it would be fine. I was wrong. The digitizer cracked from the bottom to the top around the speaker. The LCD looks fine, but the Digitizer doesn't respond to touches
Does anyone know if I can replace only the Digitizer? I've read somewhere that the digitizer and the Screen are united by OCA glue, but I've also seen brand new G2 digitizers for sale on Ebay without the LCD. I was wondering if its possible to heat the broken Digitizer enough so that the LCD can be removed and the replacement Digitizer can be placed on top but with 3m tape.
The phone is brand new and I can't send it to LG for repairs since I'm at PR, so I would rely on the answers you guys give and the guy from the phone repair store to do the whole procedure for me
Thanks in advance!

It may be possible but will require professional tools. Better and easier way is replace lcd with frame. You can also replace lcd/digitizer module to your frame. LG phones are easy to disassembly.
So to sum up, i dropped my lg g2, and i intend to buy a replacement. The thing is, the lcd is fine and only the glass is cracked.
So while looking around for a replacement i saw that some people were offering just the glass and digitizer, no lcd. It appears to be just what i need. however all of the things i have seen indicate the lcd is attached to the glass and digitizer. and costs about £50 more.
So i'm wondering if i do indeed need to buy the lcd+glass and digitizer. or can i save money and get the glass+digitizer only?
thanks
hey i was wondering how difficult it is to replace just the front glass and digitizer on my S7E? mine is cracked at the bottom, the lcd and digitizer are both good, but the crack is getting worse and pieces are flaking off so i feel like if i dont fix it it might end up screwing up the lcd. I can get a glass/digitizer assembly for about 35 bucks, but if i buy this am i going to be able to install it without f*kn up my phone? ive been looking at youtube videos n stuff and pretty much every one i see theyre replacing the whole assembly with the lcd, which is like $200, is it possible to seperate the lcd from the glass/digitizer fairly easily at home? or should i just let it be and not mess with it?
nobody knows?
i guess it depends on your goal. ive tried to replace the front glass in previous phones and it takes a bit of finesse. you have to remove two pieces of glass for the s7 screen replacement to be successful. if money is short and its your only phone. and you need it to be unbroken then id recommend replacing the whole lcd assembly at once. you should be able to find one with the frame already attached so you dont have to worry about actually installing the lcd itself.
but honestly, the phone in great shape and unlocked is only worth around $300. less if its the sprint version. i may have to suffer through these cracks until my next upgrade. or the parts get cheaper.
