is unrooted phone able to flash zip?
You just need a custom recovery to be able to flash zips. Rooting doesn't affect this.

No. You need to unlock the bootloader (and keep it unlocked) for the custom recovery to work.

I am unsure if this should go here but I missed the thread that brings together every OTA zip in one place but here it is anyway:
XT1032 retail: http://goo.gl/a8rwk5.
XT1033 retail: http://goo.gl/cbk9FF.
Can you post few screenshots of 4.4.3

I'm in doubt. I install this update or continue with the Cdroid Rom?
What is better?
Man, what i do with the zip? Flash by recovery or fastboot?
will this work on indian moto G?
@vyaskd No.
@W3ND31 Can do both, I'd recommend sideloading it on adb.
@pico hackr There is absolutely nothing different other than the dialer and contacts and the fact that 4.4.2 went up to 4.4.3. I didn't update the stock firmware myself, only captured the zips to share. Currently running AOSPA.

Thanks, tested on XT1033 from TIGO Colombia and works great!!!
First need to apply this package 171.44.31.falcon_umtsds.Brasin.en.BR and check for updates to apply new one to change version to 171.44.37.falcon_umtsds.Brasin.en.BR
In my blog I explain how to update (but in spanish)

First brush to write the end of the Brazilian 4.4.2 package! Then continue twice OTA update! Asia can be flashed Brazil Dual Card 4.4.3!
to flash this i need to use stock recovery or custom?
What I am missing?
My phone got be unrooted to make this update, isn't?
Is there a way of install this update without unroot, on a phone with TWRP?
because if I got to install stock rom to install the updates, makes no sense download this package zip, since we have OTA to update.
Sorry if this is a meaningless question. I am asking cos' I had hard time trying to install stock rom.
My friends I will like to now the Brazilian version work on 171.44.31.falcon_umtsds.latam.en.01 dual sim

This seems purely OTA update and Not cwm zip.
So, whether this update be manually flashed from Stock recovery using "Apply update" option..?
If yes, then possibility of other XT1033 users from Non-Brazil regions be able to update..? If someone has attempted can share the experience.
In simple words, Can a Indian user manually flash this zip via Stock recovery being on Indian stock ROM XT1033..?

Has emoji switcher or any other methods of changing emojis been working for any of you on 6.0? I've tried emoji switcher and flashing a zip and nothing. Also I wanted to confirm xposed is working I used the wanam v83 sdk23 arm version. I'll most likely just make a nandroid backup of this stock and switch back to cm13 as a daily driver soon since I prefer it. Cheers.
I could spend the recovery in .tar , please?
the recovery works perfectly !! Thank you

No. You need to unlock your bootloader (good advice: keep it unlocked) and install TWRP.

Hey guys sorry if this has already been asked but. I just got a moto x 2015. I used the toolkit to unlock the bootloader and tried to flash twrp and root using the toolkit but it didn't work. I am wondering what I need to do to flash twrp and gain root. Thanks

I don't understand the issue. There is a very clear guide on how to root here https://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-x-style/general/guide-how-to-root-pure-style-t3503958. I was able to install TWRP and root with relative ease. The hardest part is just making sure you read for the details.
I successfully downgraded from marshmallow to lollipop and unlocked bootloader installed TWRP and rooted, then bypassed the factory reset protection so I could log in to Google on the set up screen.

It was easier for me to root by downgrading. If that makes any sense, which it probably doesn't lol. And thanks

Im glade I bought this phone. I was so aggravated the past few days because of the factory reset protection crap, but after I learned how to bypass it all is good now. Could anyone recommend a app or modual to use to change the navigation keys?
