Hi, so I use a custom kernel to lower the headphone gain so that the volume is lower so it masks the white noise that you get a low volume. My question is, I want to go back to fully stock rooted, so I need a way to do this without a custom kernel. Any suggestions?

Is there anyone having same problem as me?
After flashing some custom ROM (Jellyblast v3) i realized that my device's in-call volume is lower than it was in stock rom. In fact, it is very low, I can still use my phone but it's becoming harder especially in the noisy area.
So, is there any way to increase it?
Thanks in advance.
hello.
i'm pretty sure i saw somewhere a way of changing some system files in a rom to have a higher/lower volume sound (i'm talking about the real maximum level, not the volume like using volume buttons). i couldn't find anything about it. can anyone guide me? thatnks.
(what i want to do is to increase the maximum sound level)
Hello,
I'm currently using the latest nightly of franco's brilliant kernel. Problem is, the minimum volume is far too high for me when I use my sensitive IEM headphones.
With faux's sound control I was able to use faux's app to put a negative headphone amp and thereby reduce the minimum volume.
Is there any way to set a negative amp via franco's kernel? I see that it is possible to set a positive amp in his app.
Thanks in advance
I've found since moving from stock to omega sound is louder but less quality output. Is there a reason for this?
As when I revert to stock rom this issue is not present
How do I fix? Thanks

You'll need to edit the "snd_soc_2x_Fusion3_auxpcm" file. Search for a thread about volume boosting and which values to change.
In your case - the digital volume ("headset") will have been increased in that file to around the 70% mark, therefore you'll need to decrease it back down to around 60%. From my experience, once the digital volume gets above 65%, and you listen to VERY sensitive i.e.m's at low volume you may be able to hear 'swooshing' 'buzzing' noises where the S4's amp isn't providing much power to them as you're probable on the bottom few notches of the volume slider (analogue amp) and the increased digital volume is giving you artifacts in the sound.
Full size headphones and aux equipment generally will not be a problem as you tend to boost the analogue volume higher for them towards the top of the slider- therefore providing more power from the amp - plenty enough to drive them efficiently regardless of the level of digital volume.
My stock MEA rom has a "headset" digital volume value of 60% which gives me a clean sound for my i.e.m's. Whenever I use the 'aux' in on my car I'll change the value to 67%.
I hope this kind of makes sense!
Is there any way to make sound louder on the phone, i have now ElementalX kernel and he has in settings for changing volume of spekers. Can this be set also if i return to stock kernel just with root using ?
