2.6.1 apk gives me the same error. But i'm fixed it. For those with the same problem, I take app_process32 from /system/bin and libandroid_runtime.so from /system/lib, from 2.22.40.53 firmware, and overwrite these files on my /system/bin and /system/lib partition. After reboot, i'm able to install Xposed framework.
The Xposed apk don't work on this new version because the new security patch.
Here's the files you need: https://www.mediafire.com/?gq97065u1sfw62r
just for info..
can you please list xposed modules that you use..
gravitbox box does not properly work on kk
I only use
Greenify..

GravityBox is very limited on KitKat, so I don't use it. I use Xposed more because the module xInternalSD, helps me a lot, because my phone is the 8GGB version, and I have a 32GB SD card. I also use greenify and two modoules to expand notifications on notification panel. Flat style modules is a very good option for modifications on status bar, occasionally I use it.

(PS: Don't flash the zip, this isn't a flashable zip. Simple overwrite the two files in /system/bin and /system/lib fodler of your phone, with a Root file manager.)

too bad we can not repack. If we could we could make .ftf files, am i right?
Isn't there anyone working at sony who can slip the program for making .ftf-files this would make the lives of people with locked bootloader but with custom roms a lot easier. Now when we are stuck we always have to flash back to stock, root and then install recovery before we can install a custom rom.
Isn' there realy any other way. Isn't it possible to make a program, or a feature in flashtools so that the battery charging hack like used in x-parts can be runned "externaly", what i mean is so when the phone is hooked up en restarted/started it goes straight to recovery. Or is this far fetched?

before flash it from CWM.
you must to execute other CWM function.
Wipe data and cache!
wipe dalvik
Format /system (in mounts and storage)
Yup, I cleared cache, data and dalvic
Also formatted system, cache and data in mounts
Did this straight after installing and rooting a fresh rom.
Every time just doesn't get past the first Sony Ericsson screen
Could it be that I added a couple of extra apps?
Idk tried it loads of times lol
Even tried pulling the battery and rebooting again. I left it on the Sony screen for well over an hour just to make sure

Nice one. Thank you. Helps for someone new lokie me, looking around to figuring things out on my own by trial and error.. takes a lot of the "error" out of things..
I am getting bootloops.
Obviously I am doing something wrong, as others have gotten it to work.
Here's what I did:
1. Using FTF (GB ST15i 4.0.2.A.0.62)
2. Extract system.sin
3. Unpack system.sin using FTF extractor & got the system folder (inside which has folders: app, bin, xbin along with other folders)
4. Downloaded META-INF AND ROOT.zip (inside which has system folder: app, bin, xbin)
5. I copied the contents of the system folder (app - Superuser.apk, bin - su & xbin - busybox) and pasted on system folder (in their respective subfolders app, bin & xbin)
6. I create a zip file combining "system" and "META-INF"
7. Placed zip on SD Card, flash using CWM, power up and get bootloops
Anybody has any idea what I am doing wrong?
Any help appreciated! Thanks!!

Am I going to extract the downloaded custom rom to my PC then locate the folder?
Can you elaborate more the guidelines. What are the requirements needed to install the aroma installer?
Am I going to do these steps to my phone or PC?
I am sorry, newbie. Please help. Thank you.

My phone is Sony Xperia Arc S running in Official ICS update.
Not yet rooted. Bootloader not yet unlocked. Planning to root and to unlock.
Is this aroma installer works to rooted phone but not bootloader unlocked? or not rooted but bootloader unlocked?
I am planning to use this to install this custom rom Zelly Cream V3.
This will be my first time to flash this rom to my phone.
Do I have to flash kernel after I rooted and unlocked my bootloader? And what kernel is advisable with cwm recovery?
Please help me. Thank you.

U need to extract the rom in mobile, much easier on PC if u have winrar..
2. This is xperia x8 forum, ask your phone related questions in that specific forum

There is answer and how its all work:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=21755966&postcount=5
update-binary – It was AROMA Installer Executable, the compiled program wrote by me in C, and it was the program that show User Interface.
update-binary-installer – It was old update-binary (renamed to update-binary-installer), will be runs on Installer UI when the installer need to flash/install/extract files from zip to the phone.

will be this addressed? "'tar' is not recognized as an internal or external command"
I am pretty sure many will get this error it is because, speaking for Windows, windows never going to find cat.exe nor tar.exe because it is not in windows system variable user path, so installing it from :http://gnuwin32.sourceforge.net/packages/gtar.htm, is not going to work. The way I found solution is i copied cat.exe and tar.exe under the same location where your tool script runs, and then modified:
call cat.exe system.ext4.tar system.ext4.tar.a...etc..
and
call tar.exe -xvf temp.tar
this may not be the best solution, but believe if both cat.exe and tar.exe (and related DLLs, and binaries) included in the same folder where your script runs, maybe not many people get the "'tar' is not recognized as an internal or external command" error...
just suggestion, you may be already addressed this that I am not aware of, if so, ignore this post

Will wait for 1.1
Out of interest, Do I need to rename the extensions of TWRP files?
The system archives have .win extensions.
And the multipart data extensions are win000 & .win001 etc.
Many thanks.

Okay so I just tried to install xposed on my Xperia Z and it was a success. All you need to do is be rooted. For that, go to this thread, http://forum.xda-developers.com/xperia-z/development/super-su-xperia-device-lollipop-easy-t3119006. The procedure mentioned here worked like a charm for me.
Once you are rooted, go to this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=3034811. Download the .zip file and the .apk file. Install the .apk file like any other normal .apk file. Unzip the .zip file using any file explorer (I used root explorer). After you've unzipped the files, all you have to do is move and replace them in the system folders and assign correct permissions.
It's not working for me, the installer keeps saying Xposed isn't currently active
I got boot looped with this solution...bummer!

Would it be possible to explain the file copying process in more detail. My Xperia Z crashed whilst copying and overwriting the files into the LIB and now is in a boot loop. Copying the appropriate files to BIN and FRAMEWORK worked fine.

Did you copy the FRAMEWORK, BIN and LIB files over. My Xperia rebooted whilst copying the LIB files over and the went into bootloop.
Busy re-installing lollipop as we speak.
I have installed the files separately (one by one) in the relevant system's paths

I reinstalled the 5.0.2 firmware. Then did the KingRoot and replaced with SuperSU. The I tried to install Xposed followin the above steps and copied file by file like you did, and if I copy the 3rd file in LIB over, the phone reboots and goes into bootloop.

I'm in a bootloop again, so off to re-install lollipop...again. Becoming quite a pro at installing and rooting it now This time around, I had a clean install of 5.0.2 without any updates from Play Store. Also did a KingRoot and the replaced it with Super SU before trying to install Xposed. Not sure how @alexfra got it installed...lucky bum!
Okay do the following, copy the LIB files in the root of the system folder and assign the correct permissions. After you've done that, cut and paste the LIB files in to the LIB folder. That will work for sure. Check images for further assistance. Also check image of Gravity Box attached. Everything running great. Hope it works for you too.

Succeeded with my Xperia Z on official Lollipop ! Thanks !
To all who have troubles : take good care to the PERMISSIONS !!! If you don't change permissiosn IT WON'T WORK !
For LIB folder files use the method described before :
- extract to /system
- change permission to rw-r--r-- (or 0644 in octal)
- move files to /system/lib
For bin folder files permission are rwxr-xr-x (or 0755 in octal) and for framework folder it's rw-r--r-- (or 0644 in octal)
If you don't do EXACTLY this, Xposed won't work !

I did this on my third try over the weekend. Copied the LIB files into system, changed the permissions and the moved the files one by one. Reboot and bootloop occured when moving libart.so.
1) What file manager did you use? I used ES File in root explorer mode.
2) Did you move file by file, or move the files all at once or per folder?
3) Do you remember any specific order when moving the files? I just went alphabetically through the folders.
4) Must the .props file also be copied that is in the zip?
5) Did you do a clean install to Lollipop, or was it an upgrade from KK?
Any help would be appreciated

Thanks for your help guys! I figured out what the problem was for me. There were some Xposed files in my lib folder already, I assume from my installation on KitKat (I did not do a clean upgrade). So I removed those, rebooted and presto! Good to have Xposed again

Can anybody comment on which file manager they used to do the copying and setting of permissions and successfully install Xposed? I see the OP used Root Explorer. I personally use ES File Explorer with root mode enabled, but I am thinking that maybe the issue I keep having when copying the files is due to ES File Explorer and maybe I should try Root Explorer.

Hi,
I just updated my SGS5 (G900F) to android 6.0.1 and I encountered a problem when ever I have the screen to choose an app in order to complete the action, I mean that screen when you can choose to "use this app only once" or "use as default".
Now I don't get to choose, I can only tap on the app that I want and it automatically chooses that app to be the default.
If I want to change it to the other app I can't because I couldn't find how to do this.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks.

I think you're right, I didn't add the location of the JAVA, I figured it will do it by itself but I guess not.
Any way thank you so much for your gesture I really do appreciate it a lot, it will save me a lot of time.
Here i uploaded the files:

Hi friend
use this tool for deodexing your odex rom
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=65741469&postcount=574
if your device is 32 bit download SVADeodexerForArtx32.zip
if 64 bit download SVADeodexerForArtx64.zip
Download the Dat img extractor & cache extractor from my drive
https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B6YfELxJkuUNdHRUYmxfa2hESGs
Cache img Extractor - CacheRipperUX.zip
ExtractorforcynogenmodforDAT& IMG.rar
Steps
1. Download your rom zip from sammobile or any other site
2.extract the zip
3. use 7zip to open the extracted file and drag and drop to a new folder the cache, boot, and system images
4. use "Extractor for cynogenmod for DAT & IMG" application for extracting files from system.img
( i have attached the "Extractor for cynogenmod for DAT & IMG.zip" in my drive )
5.After system.img gets extracted copy or move the system folder to "SVADeodexerForArtx32" folder
6.Make sure you dont name folders with space
eg: new folder - gives error
newfolder - works
7. now extract "SVADeodexerForArtx32.zip" and run SVADeodexerForArt.exe
8 select the path of system folder ( which you cpoied to " SVADeodexerForArtx32 " folder
9.then click on app, priv-app, and framework
10. press execute
11. it will take 3 to 4 minutes to deodex your stock rom
12. now after execution completes you will see a log in which it says
symlinks are needed
so you must add them in your updater-script of your flashable zip
13 If you dont know then get META-INF folder of your model from any devs
14.now make a flashable zip of the system folder including boot.img
15.Goto twrp and flash the zip
Good luck bro
Make backup of old rom so that if anything goes wrong you can revert back

I can't thank you enough, I did as you said and reached the step where I need to to find those symlinks (btw: I have no idea what they are or where to get a META-INF folder :cyclops
During the execution it encountered an error, here:
I don't know if it's ok or not because at the end when the log opened I saw that the files were deodexed without any errors:
Is it safe to continue?
