[Q] BT Mouse works on Moto X Lollipop but not the Nexus Player?

So I picked up a Microsoft Sculpt Comfort Bluetooth Mouse to use with the Nexus Player and the two will attempt to connect but never do... But when I try with my Moto X 2014 that's running A5.0 it works fine. Anyone have any ideas? ... other than getting a new mouse.
As I said in another thread it works for me. Only way I could get amazon apps to install was to use it

Can't connect to chrome cast or moto 360 watch

Hey all,
I got my 6P today, but I'm having problems connecting the phone to either my chrome cast or moto 360 watch. It just doesn't find them? Any one else have the same problem?

Really?!? I thought any phone and watch can connect via android wear?
Also why can't I find my chrome cast on my 6P?
Pretty sure he was joking.
Interested to hear what you find out about both issues as I have several Chromecasts and also a Moto360.
I've not got a smartwatch but I do use Chromecast. No problem connecting at all.
My 6P eventually connect to my Smart watch after factory resetting my G Watch - Android wears BT handling is god awful they need to sort it out ASAP ( Allow watches to hot swap between at least two devices on the go )
it connected to my Car stereo first time
it connected to my chromebook first time

Don't know about the CC, but the watch will have to be factory reset to connect to your new phone.
No issues here... Both Moto 360 & Chromecast both working as they should
Hmmmm, my 6p finds both cc and moto 360 but refuses to connect to them
Can't help with the CC (mine connected and casted fine.) Had to factory reset my watch to connect though.

have you performed the typical CC troubleshooting steps?
1. CC needs to be on the same network as the 6P. CC is only 2.4GHz and the 6P is 5GHz/AC. If you have separate routers handling the different frequencies, they won't see each other.
2. If the 6P sees the m360, does the m360 see the 6P? Will need to factory reset the m360 to get them to connect.

are you using the old facer method? a lot of faces are available on the play store now. i wonder if you could just use Moto Migrate between devices.

I am using WatchMaker to manage all my faces. Some from both WatchMaker and Facer faces.
CC works, but I can't get my Gear Live to sync either.

how to connect moto x play to external monitor?

I am unable to find any way to connect my moto x play to an external monitor. Is there any micro usb to VGA adapter available in the market that works perfectly for moto x play?
I use a chromecast hdmi stick.Works nice and it also supports screen mirroring. The device doesn't support a cable connection (mhl, slimport).

[email protected] Thanks for your response. I have few more doubts related to it, will be glad if you can provide further details:
1. when you say screen mirroring, does that mean casting of media only( games, video, chromecast supported apps) or the complete mirroring of screen( as in case of miracast)?
2. How long the X play battery will last if I continuously cast my screen to external monitor without plug-in it to charger? or if you have observed the % consumption of battery for any specific time duration?
3. X play has slower wifi speed, how much lagging have you felt in video/audio transmission?
I use cast with my Samsung 55inch

It only works when you use an USB otg cable. My dualshock 4 works but only all the buttons and sticks are not mapped correctly.
Having failed miserably to use a PS3 controller with a Moto X/G4 Play I wonder if it doesn't have something to do with the TYPE of controller, i.e. no go with a PS3 one but maybe ok with a PS4 or X360 ?

LG G6 connecting/mirroring to non smart TV?

Hey all,
So the wife & I got 2 new G6's recently. We had G3 before & could use slimport (wired) to play video & stream through our phones & display on the tv. We have no wifi, phones are our only internet connection at the house. Our big screen is a few yrs old and came out just before "smart" tv's rolled out.
We used to plug in a slimport adapted to the phone & tv HDMI port, but apparently slimport is no longer compatible with the G6... Any tips/ideas/work arounds?
Get a wireless display adaptor. It uses mirrorcast.
i use beelink gt 1 android tv box and mirroring working perfect.

I have the exact same problem as deekman. The only internet access I have is through my LG G6. I do not have WiFi or any wireless capability. Am I able to connect my LG G6 to my TV? kabirjedi said that a beelink gt 1 Android TV box works. I'm a bit of a techno-illiterate. So could anyone explain, in detail, how it works? I am able to use my LG as a wifi hot spot but only get 15g of 4g data per month before Verizon slows my "unlimited" service to 600kb which is worthless.
Hope you can help.
