No clock Fc in latest version
Dim light issue not fixed
Multiwindow Doesnt exist

If we change the front camera resolution then it gets force closed. So its also a major bug for me.

[Q] Auto brightness not functioning properly ?

Tried the auto brightness option but it doesn't make a difference with various ambients.... I've seen it worked when first bought it and while setting up for the 1st time... but that's about it
nothing installed at all, beside from the Google maps update, Flash 10.3... that's it.
not a big deal... I rarely uses that feature anyway, manually adjust the brightness most of the time.... odd that it isn't functioning like it should.
Thanks.
having the same issue
same situation here .
I had this happen too...
Just turn on autobrightness and then reboot (turn off en on again), solved it for me...
In do, however, prefer to set the brightness manually

update...
I have a "flashlight" app on my Nexus One ...
If I shine the light at the sensor - ( located directly at the bezel border inline with the screen orientation lock button ) - the auto-brightness will again work
seems like it needed a "kick-start" ... but as you use your tablet ... at a later time... the bug will again appear... and you need the "kick-start" allover again...etc
hopefully the more people report this... the issue will be address by Acer
I know my tablet's auto-brightness works, it just seems the change is incredibly gradual so maybe that's why it appears to not be working.
If i you enable disable it, it would seem that it doesn't enable but after a few seconds the brightness definitely changes.
is there anyone else beside me think that the sensor should have been a visible hole similar to the camera instead of under the dark/black bezel ??
other tablets I've seen you can visually see the sensor window/circle... The Iconia's sensor is really hidden under the bezel... you really have to look hard or at a certain angle in a bright lit area in order to vaguely see it... maybe a design flaw ?

[Q] auto brightness problem a hardware (light sensor) issue?

The N10 auto-brightness feature doesn't work right, as everyone knows. It randomly dims and brightens in an annoying way. I'd read it was a software issue - something to do with JB 4.2 - so I tried two different auto-brightness apps from Google Play, both of which get good ratings, and to my surprise I had the same problem with both of them. When the brightness depends on my N10's light sensor, the screen keeps dimming and brightening randomly. The app I have installed (but disabled) now is "Custom Auto Brightness". I wish I could use it because it looks very good.
The fact that the problem appears regardless of the software suggests to me that the problem is in the hardware - there's something wrong with the data put out by the light sensor. Does anyone have any info or insight about this? A workaround would be so nice.

Samsung S5 901F - Green flickering screen

Hello
My S5 randomly began flickering with a green screen to the point where I was unable to use my screen. It seems to happen a lot especially when I have the "Auto Brightness" feature on and when it's in a low light environment
I didn't drop the phone , and i tried many solutions , wipe data partition , change the ROM ( to official )
but no solution solve it
PS: I can't make a link from youtube explain my problem by video , but you can search on youtube " Samsung S5 Green flickering screen " to know what exactly the problem is !
cause of this error

yes that's happened often and the phone unlock without any problem, but sometimes the green flickering won't let me unlock the phone
This is a common problem with AMOLED displays. At a certain point when auto brightness or you manually turn the brightness down, the low power involved makes the screen flicker. Try turning off auto brightness and adjusting the sloder until it stops flickering, then you can use apps like Pixel Filter and/or the xposed module Screen Filter to further darken the screen to save battery.

This is a hardware failure. The fix is change screen which can cost as much as a new phone. There are several youtube videos showing that applying hot guns can fix the problem

Thanks, i have oreo patch january and on my xiaomi, when the screen is off, stops flashing
Yep! It is blinking when the screen is on. (I'm on February Patch.)
I'm on February patch and not facing this behaviour. Maybe you have an app making phone work like this? Hope you solve it.

No, I don't have any application which does this. Check it by a camera ( I think it is infrared) and when the screen is ON.
My proximity sensor test
Same here also

I think it's a bug in new February Patch Stable Update
First of all, I can't reproduce it (used my work iPhone's camera, and yes iPhone sucks but it's for my job, no choice here ).
Second, are you sure it's a bug? Did you do similar check before Feb update?
I'm not a pro of phone hardware, but it seems normal to me that the sensor will be always working. I'm even using an app to wake the phone with the sensor (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.jarsilio.android.waveup) so the sensor is working all the time, even with screen off.
It's not a bug, it's the same for a lot of phones, don't worry

thanks bro, I'm not sure it's a bug, however the sensor should only be activated for calls
It's not a bug. The proximity sensor is also used for auto brightness control.
When the proximity sensor is tripped, values from the light sensor is ignored, which means that screen brightness won't change even when the light sensor detects changes in ambient light.
This is useful for e.g. when you play a game or watching a movie in landscape and your hand covers the light sensor. The screen won't go dark, but stays at the same brightness. Without the proximity sensor activated, your screen would go dark every time you accidentally cover the light sensor with your hand.
Try turning off adaptive brightness and see if it's still on. It shouldn't be necessary to have the proximity sensor on all the time if you set the screen to a fixed brightness.

Everything is fine here man after update.
Brightness slider works fine after update .
it won't work for me too, not even in Good lighting condition, should i replace it? it was working fine till yesterday.
Yea same problem for me.
Same thing happening to my "max pro m1"
whenever the "Auto brightness" is on the brightness slider doesnt work/respond at all.
I tried almost every thing..........
1) Installed latest Update "15.2016.1805.318" of 66.76 MB
2) Restart Multiple times
3) HARD RESET the phone
Still not working
Is it a because faulty/bad light sensor
OR
will it be fixed by some software updates in coming future...
