Hey Guys,
I recently put my G2 on CM13.0 (It's amazing by the way) but I noticed an issue that I keep having every time I update. When I update, I need to re-flash the G-apps package with the update or else the gapps previously installed will crashed continuously. It's not that big a deal but installing all the gapps takes another 8-12 minutes and I prefer not to deal with that kind of hassle. Does anyone know what the issue is and how I can fix it?
Thanks guys,
Mach01

Hi Everyone,
I've been running CM 11 since I got this phone a few weeks ago. I installed it on the first day.
One thing I didn't think to check to make sure was working when I got it (it was a refurb off Swappa) was that the vibration was working, so I don't know if this is caused by CM or if it's a known issue.
Does anyone else have this problem and it's part of CM or do I need to reflash to stock and check to see if it's a hardware issue?
Thank you.
EDIT:
If it matters, I have the Verizon version.
Bumping - I'd really like to avoid flashing to stock and having to re-root and go through the whole process just to verify if my vibrate is working.
Hello guys, I have a rooted D802 device with the November '14 Snapshot CM11 ROM. I'm totally satisfied with it, since I don't encounter random reboots and every app works flawlessy. But recently a problem has surfaced which I think is due to the ROM being outdate by this mane months. My apps don't get the latest updates, for example Messenger won't get the new "Seen" bubbles at the conversations, Sims Free Play is now crashing because it's not getting the newest patch and so on. These all aren't that important compared to my satisfaction with this ROM but they do are nuisances which annoy me.
So after a little digging, I noticed that the CM11 thread here in xda for G2, is flooded with comments about CM12 and when I checked the original site, all CM11 versions were replaced by the new CM12. Basically, what I'm asking since I'm a newb to all this, is what would be a stable nightly of CM12 for me to upgrade to? Are there still bugs(certainly, I guess) and if yes what are they? I will probably be fine with certain insignificant ones, but not big ones like the SMS App crashing or video playback not working etc.. The CM12 thread was last updated on December so this is why I am making my own thread, as I don't want to do anything wrong. Also, is a wipe necessary? Should I re-install gapps? If someone could guide me through the process I would be grateful.
Thanks in advance, George.
P.S.: If there is another solution to my aforementioned problem about the apps not updating as they should, please point it out to me since I can't think of anything else that causes this
I looked around and couldn't find anyone else with this problem, I upgraded to CM 14 nightly and have been updating since, i also was running tesla as well but no matter what I do, when I open the camera or snapchat my phone soft reboots, yesterday is started doing the same thing when i signed into my banking app as well.. Was there something I did wrong while flashing? Is there a way to fix this?
Hi all, sorry for the noob question but I updated from 4.0 yesterday. Flashed the s7 edge firmware and then the latest ROM.
It worked great for about 20 minutes and then I started getting random reboots. What would have caused this and how can I fix this so I can enjoy this amazing ROM.
Thank you
Idk.... mabye clean flash again? random reboots can be caused with custom kernel (or try other rom?)
Thanks. I'll give it a try ?
I need some help, anyone, please! I have a Lg G2 VS980, rooted supersu by chainfire version 2.79 latest, i guess. twrp 3.2.0-1 by blastagator, and running resurrection remix 5.4.7(Lollipop 5.1.1) from stock rom VS98024a which i pushed with lgtool14, i believe. From stock VS98011a which i also installed a year ago when my ParanoidAndroid os Lollipop rom 5.1.1 just stopped working all together dont know why, still. tried flashing over that with lollipop CrDroid rom Lollipop 5.1.1 when the phone bricked. So I proceeded to start from scratch again learning as i go, im kinda good like that sometimes. so i did all of this all is working well and good again, except for one thing, when I try to flash any custom marshmallow even nougat roms they install like the lollipop ones fine, matching micro Gapps packages every time for marshmallow and nougat roms. wipe the dalvik and cache properly, all is good til reboot of the system. Lg logo comes up then black screen and nothing else ever, Ive let it sit for hours and nothing. i dont know what i am missing here i know its possible to go past lollipop but im at a loss here. ive searched til my eyes bleed but there is no comprehensive guide on how this is accomplished and what to do with the black screen issue im facing. i dont know if i need to do a bootstack change or something else i dont know about. If i could get some guidance here maybe a solution to this issue. hell i dont care if i got to start from scratch again. something guys. if you need any info i havent provided ask. and yes i have all the proper latest drivers, adb, fastboot, and even latest android studio from google, which i dont have a clue as to how to use. im not a noob but by no means a developer, lol.
