Hello,
sadly, I always postponed rooting my phone and doing a backup using CWM or similar tools...
Now my Samsung Galaxy Express i8730 does not complete booting for some reason. It is stuck
in the flashing "SAMSUNG" screen.
Booting into recovery mode works, but before I do a factory reset I will try to backup my data.
I found that using Odin I can flash a Auto-CF image onto my device which enables root access.
But I did not find any Auto-CF image for the i8730.
Has anybody got an idea how to proceed?
Thanks, Faramant

I tried to root my s4 using the auto-root method. It now will not boot past the boot screen. I had the device encrypted, so i thought that had something to do with the problem and tried to go into recovery mode to factory reset my phone. When i tried to go into recovery mode it would not work and tried to boot normally and then black screened after i typed the password to decrypt the device as it did before. Any solutions?
Hi There,
I have just tried to flash my Samsung Galaxy Express GT-I8730 when something went wrong during the process. Now the phone cannot even boot, just the boot screen appears containing the brand logo and freezes. If I try to start it in recovery mode "recovery booting..." text is appears above the brand logo and nothing happens.
How I came here?
1. Firstly I would like to flash my phone with Ubuntu Touch using Flashify app downloaded from Play Store. After the app said the flashing was successful (?) I restart my phone which never boot it again.
2. In this point, both of Android Recovery g3 and Odin mode was available. I tried restore my phone from Android Recovery using my backup, but the recovery stopped with Invalid signature error. (Same error is appeared when I select CyanogenMod 11.0 ROM from recovery.)
3. Using Odin 3.10.7 I tried install CWM Recovery 6.0.4.6. Odin said the flashing was successfully but then, when I tried to boot into recovery mode, only "recovery booting..." text is appears above the brand logo.
Now only the Odin mode can be started.
Can anybody help me to galvanize life into my lovely phone?
Thanks,
zokni

Hey guys,
I really need your help. I have done an update of my twrp. My phone is rooted.
Now after it the phone stucks at the boot logo "Samsung Galaxy S8 powered by Android".
The hotkey combination for booting to Recovery does not work; nothing happens. The hotkey combination for download mode works.
I tried applying TWRP via Odin; nothing changed. What can I do? I don't want to lose all data

EDIT:
Problem solved: TWRP Version twrp-3.1.1-2-dreamlte.img.tar seems to be broken. DOwngraded via odin and it works again!
flash stock rom through odin then flash twrp. yes you will lose your data this is why it is advisable to keep a backup.
I tried upgrading the software to Android 4.4.2 using Samsung kies but ended up in a boot loop. I am able to access the download and recovery mode but my phone does not boot up completely. I request anyone to suggest me what to do.
So my friend gave this phone stuck on boot loop so i could try to fix it. that's why i don't know much about it. i downloaded the stock rom ( android 8 ) and flashed it via odin and it works but the phone is still stuck on boot loop and i can't access the recovery mode. odin fails when i try to flash TWRP and it also fails when i try to flash android 7. i really dont know what to do can anyone please help. thank you all in advance.
I am having the same darn issue.
