Display,dpi or rom issue???

Hello everyone in recent days i have found a random black border kinda thing on my screen i have a samsung galaxy s4 GT-I9505 running pheonix rom,so these borders the black thing is it because of my display or the bezel,dpi or the rom or is it normal even your device has it pls help me out screenshot attached

Normal it is.
Check build.prop for dpi. It ahould be 480

The corners on the display im talking about all the four sides jts black for a lil part why is it? You have the same? [emoji27]

Are you by any chance refering to the button shadows?
I cammot see any difference.

Nope not button shadows i dont know wt button shadows
your talkin about i have posted testscreen as the background is white so you can easily see the black corners,edges around that white background that black edges or corners are with every app so u have too pls watch the screenshot carefully

Just got my Zuk Z1....dissapointed about screen

I just got my Zuk Z1 and i am dissapointed with the screen. I find it yellowish ,whole screen ,not particulair places on the screen like the OPO.
Anywhone who notist this ?

With Cyanogenmod and live display option in screen menu, I achieved to get a almost perfect white color with this config:

I don't have the screen in your first screenshot, at the second screenshot i get day and night but when i change the setting i can't save them ?

Off course it was.
Seems all units, excepts first ones by what I saw in YouTube reviews, have this problem.
Probably they changed the screen manufacturer at some point.
But with this problem solved, I can agree this it's a great great phone, much better than Oneplus one I had before.

Lol, i have one of the first hundred zuks that where sold and my display is fine. But its interesting that they changed the display manufacture

How to save Live Display settings ? it always turn back to original settings. In color calibration and day and night settings.

Problem solved ! It was caused by installing a theme from LG from the theme installer. I was unable to get into Recovery mode also.
Now a bright white screen ,can save the settings in Live Display and Recovery mode working now.
I have hit the thanks butto,cheers

1. download the video , copy to phone (unzip the 7z)
2. let the video do the the magic for several hours
( My recovered after 28 hours )
or you can use an APK that does the same thing

Hi, I'm having the above problem.
May I ask what's the cause of the lines and why running a video can resolve the issue?

So it's the frequency/refresh rate that's causing the failure? But why running the video would cure it then?
But anyway, i'll try your method first then.
Feels like a disco in my room now......

Btw, should i use full or lowest or any brightness will do?

Nope. Didn't work. Looks like i better get it to service centre then.

Mine cured itself after two week...service centre didn want repair because of trip knox

what percentage the brightness should be when running the video?

Lines dissapear
After 3 months with tgp kernel with pwm flicker free active the lines disappeared

Please could someone help me. This bug has been there for about 3 months now

I have reset my phone a bunch of times and yet this persists. I can't explain it but the background of some other apps shows on my normal black backgrounds.

A screenshot would be nice.
If you want help, but can't explain, we really wouldn't be able to help you.

It's screen burn..visit nearby service center and change ur display

Install bluelight filter app from playstore and open it and set black color and transparency to 5% . Your issue should gone in 5 to 10 min for forever.

Here u go but one thing remember when u install apk or giving permission to app just disable it from status bar... After done again enable from status bar

Replace your phone's screen.
It is covered under warranty.

I had sent the screenshots. Also,
I have rooted my phone so it's not under warranty anymore, if the problem persists I'll untoot, lock bootloader and then go to the service center.

Yeah, if your phone is under warranty, you could easily change the display with the service center guys. It's free of cost.

Blue Spot left corner

Hello everyone, i have a question which i cant find a real answer . Last night when i was on fb messenger , a strange blue spot appeared in left coner , on curved display.My first thought was i have a display problem because is a new phone and i was worried. I get out from app ( not closed ) , the spot was gone.I came back in app , the spot appeared again . Finally i closed and the spot is gone forever. I am interesed what was that , i search on google and i find can be some notification or something like that , but nothing clear. Well , i am curios what is that drop , if my display has some problems, and how the i can make to appear again . Here a photo wich i found on google similar like my spot , but is was somehow above and was in facebook messenger

It's not a hardware problem if it appears on screenshot, so don't worry about that. Maybe it was a facebook related bug.

I've had this happen to me before. That blue thing is the little handlebar that appears when you highlight text. There's a bug where it'll appear in the corner of your screen for some reason.

It's a Messenger bug! Try to close it & it'll disappear ?

It disappears when you optimize your S7! I want to believe that it's a cute way Android is using to tell us that the device isn't 100% optimized. It kinda looks like a water droplet. Maybe meant to look like a sweat drop? I dunno. But optimizing or restarting the phone will make it go away

I have the same thing and I was not in Facebook at all when it popped up I was in snapchat and it just popped up when I hit the home button its only on the home screen and you can move it maybe a 1/8th inch and it will go back when you finger is no longer touching the screen I'm on 7.0 and its a at&t galaxy s7 not the edge the normal one
