6. While booting, the phone gets rooted. When it boots up, you can turn it off and get to the pink screen again.
7. Restore stock boot.img you saved earlier.
8. Boot the phone again - it is rooted and working properly now

Before reinsert the sd it would with a cardreader to put in Pc and delete folders: android_secure,, Android.
And so the bags otherwise they'll rebuild automatically once you put the sd.
If you do everything correctly you will have 2.3.5 rooted, without Chinese"root explorer" and the witget weather-clock its ok.
Please also stated that I have not started again after the root "Root Explorer" from the Market ONLY use another program.(optional)

It doesn't install root explorer, and it doesnt delete cust.img, but still should give you root access. To have the clock widget just put cust.img I've uploaded earlier into image folder from pink screen mode
Hey guys! I won't fix my boot.img.
It will work that way
you put my boot.img into image folder via pink screen,
boot phone once,
then boot into pink screen again,
restore stock boot.img and that's all
the phone is rooted and no overhead at start because of those modified boot.img's.

Also the kernel boots with your MIUI port. A few issues like rather broken screen rotation but that'll be a simple fix.
Roll on the release of the source.

I was gonna say that the kconfig looked like it had support for the regular u8800.
How did you split the kernel from the update btw?

█ [HOW TO] Flash BADA 2.0 on your Wave 1 (S-8500)

I've seen many Indian & Other Country users having this problem, whenever they connect to Kies it states that their Firmware is latest or GT S-8500 does not suport initialization..........although they are running BADA 1.2
So here's your Solution
Things You’ll Need​
• Firmware - http://www.samfirmware.com [Search for your model w.r.t your Country]
• Multiloader - http://uploaded.to/file/4id4wg9q
Instructions​
• First of all Extract the Firmware package.
• Then switch off your Phone and remove sim card & Memory card before the process.
• Also, don’t forget to do a Backup.
• Then (while the phone is turned off) Hold Volume Down + Lock Key + Power Off key for a few Seconds until you see ‘Download Mode’ on the Screen.
• Now, connect your phone to your PC via USB.
• Now in Multiloader you must see COM4[Ready] or COM5 [Ready]…..or something like that appearing after connecting the phone.
• Now (in Multiloader) check LSI. Then check boot and check Full Download.
• After that select click boot and select the folder ‘Boot Files’
• Then Click on ‘Port Search’. & Then click ‘Download’
• Now let the phone restart and pull out the batteries and again put it back in Download Mode.
• After that, click ‘Amss; and select the ‘Amms’ file.
• click ‘apps’ and select the ‘apps_compressed’ file
• click ‘rsrc1′ and select the ‘Rsrc_S8500_[Country]_ODD’ file
• click ‘Rsrc2′ and select the ‘Rsrc2_S8500(Low)’ file
• click ‘CSC’ and select ‘CSC_S8500_[Country]_ODD.csc’ file
• click ‘SHP APP’ and select ‘ShpApp.app’ file
• click ‘FOTA’ and select ‘bplib_S8500Op[Country]Common.fota’ file
[ALL THE ABOVE FILES ARE TO BE SELECTED FROM THE FIRMWARE PACKAGE]
• then click ‘Port Search’ and after that Finally click ‘Download’ and Wait for the phone to Restart and you’re DONE.
• Ask if any problems
• Hit the THANKS Button if i helped you at any Moment

I didn't check FFS because it's not mentioned by the OP. Anyways, i solved it by following the instructions here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1732287.

I think, DDLC2-FW is a complete FW...
So, FFS is mandatory...
You need FFS file... Otherwise Flash will not work...

I have downloaded the XELF1 firmware (Russia). Where dafuq are those boot files?!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi XELF1 is update so it is normal for empty boot files
I suggest Download full firmware for Russia XELB2 and after flashing try update with XELF1
and Rooting is for android.Bada doesn't need root

Hi.There is no bada 2.0 for small waves like 525,533.There is only bada 1.1 value pack.You can find firmware on Sammobile

I updated Bada 1.2 to Bada 2 through Kies.
Now I wish to install a custom rom. But in case something goes wrong, i should be having Bada 2 firmware to flash again. I searched extensively for Bada 2 firmware for Wave GT-S8500. I could downloaf zip from Sammobile. But while opening the file i get a mesaage "the file you are trying to open is either not an archive or is damaged". Without backup Bada 2, i cannot go ahead with custom rom.
Could anyone provide me with Bada 2 zip?

On sammobile site there are two firmware files for same pda and csc for GT-S8500. One is an Android 2 version and another is a Bada 2 version. I wonder what could be Android 2 version. Can anybody explain this?

In General, I tried to install flyme rom with gapps and without gapps, error 7, 20. Did a wipe (data, dalvik, cache, system) flashed again the error, I decided to reboot. A miracle happens, the phone boots into CWM-based Recovery and now all sewn up. When you first start (setup) for a long time hung about 8-10 minutes on the splash screen flyme. So You'll have to try.

I have flashed form stock rom to flymeos using latest twrp recovery but you should wipe all except internal SD?

After the error that appears ... the phone works normal? Can you make and receive calls without any problem? everything works?

The memory consumption remains the same, there are no additional applications, only those of the CLARO operator because it is a rom of the same, but you can deactivate them.

So, everything works fine .. the message that can appear is random? Does it always come out? or only once ... If the phone is turned off and on ... does it only come out when it is turned on? just bring the CLARO apps as additional (that's normal) but does not bring anything else or bring the games that you also have to uninstall?

Windows 11 on windows yogabook

Does anyone here have made the update to windows 11 on a windows yogabook ?
I've try this and with help of MediaCreationTool.bat i was able to overpass the processor compatibility.
It donwload the update, run all the install but at the end of this process i Come with an error and the update process colse to delete all this work, coming with just a windows 10 after all.
When the update finish i have 2 type of error
attempted write to readonly memory
Or
Error in safe_os with an error on Boot operator
Don't know why i have this error and how to fix it.
I try on a fresh install with my old files and already try to à New clean install, but all this try i already have an error....
Does anybody here have this error and can clear it to made the update or run the windows 11 update without problems on a yogabook ?

Nope, I was not facing any issues with the Install. (sorry, don't ask for a guide as there already are hundreds of it. Google it)
Furthermore, I am already testing WSA and it's surprisingly working fluid. You obviously get the 4GB warning but once WSA is fully loaded it's "bingo". (check OneDrive & Adobe Draw running side by side). I had 5 Apps running at the same time but the process usage in the Taskmanager was not freaking out (if you compare it to Bluestacks etc) !
And yes, pen works perfectly in the Android Apps...

Thanks for your answer, my problem is not how to made the w11 update, cause i already install it on another pc, but why i have this error, i already try three time to install it and already have the Same error (First time i try to give my files and i have this error, thinking this can be the problem i made the Same process but with a clean install, same result and last time i totally reinstall my yogabook with a clean install and try to launch w11 update on it (with MediaCreationTool.bat each time) and i have the Same result)

No idea where and why you struggle... to test the WSA I just downloaded the latest Insider Beta... The Device Manager detected everything, absolutely everything except the Multimode Halo Keyboard obviously...

Just try with the insider Iso, but i always have the Same error....
Can't complete the installation....

The error is in the message... you are trying to install Win11 on a MBR Partition. Win11 needs an UEFI GPT Partition... Google for it on how to convert it. Microsoft has even an own tool for it https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/deployment/mbr-to-gpt

I'm already on GPT Partition, but i'm not on UEFI, only on EFI... Can I make an update of this parameter ?
I made the bios update find on lenovo support site whitch is specified to be BIOS/UEFI
When i check thé TPM compatibility on the pc the statut is OK and version is 2.0....
When i' m on bios i can't enable secure boot statut...

I have no idea. It worked perfectly from scratch on my Yogabook. I assume you updated the Bios from here

Did you try to start in safe mode and run "mdsched.exe" ? (Usually pressing F8 right after the lenovo bios logo appears, but you will probably need and external usb keyboard for this)

Thanks for your time and your help.
For the BIOS update Yes it directly come from the lenovo site (the only update aviable so i can't make mistake).
I just try to make a full run of mdsched.exe in safe mode (really hard to keep a usb keyboard cause my 2 wireless keyboard wasn't reconnised in safe mode) and no error after the check...
I really don't understand what can block the W11 update on my yogabook.
Also try to install with desableing all non essentiel app and service at startup..... No more result.....
The only option i do not try is to make the update in safe mode (don't know if it's possible...)

typing this from my W11 yoga book... i used the reg tweak as described in this article and just started upgrading by opening the ISO in W10 https://pureinfotech.com/install-windows-11-unsupported-pc/
Needed to install some drivers again, but overall it works okay. Just disable all animations. Because our old tablet just can't handle those any more.

is there any benefit in using vw11 instead of w10 in performance terms? I would go for w11 but only performance driven as WSL is running fine ;-)
