Ive just flashed my 928F with Odin, returning to a stock UK ROM, but the phone is just rebooting after it gets into the boot animation. Any ideas? Maybe a bad download?
Factory reset from stock recovery.

Or use Samsung smartswitch to reinstall stock to make sure you don't got a bad file for the phone ?
Yeah factory reset did it, thanks.

Hey guys this has been very frustrating for me , I do not know what I am doing wrong
I unrooted my phone using Odin
I then install CWM from the App itself
I have an unlocked 1337m
I just cant seem to get any rom to work , I know how to flash them properly they all just hang at the boot screen. I tried SHOstock and that hung , I also tried OMEGA from the i9505 section and that hung at the same spot. The only successfully flashes were MIUI and some other random stock based rom. Did i miss a step ?
Thanks alot
Go back into recovery and do a factory reset, after odin you must do a factory reset.
Thank you

Hey, I had CM10.2 which for some reason caused me a lot of troubles with battery and wifi so I Decided to revert to stock 4.4. I downloaded the stock from google and I installed it with the fastboot through the command prompt. But for some reason, the phone just won't turn on, it goes into the KitKat boot animation and just gets stuck there forever. What should I do?
I already tried wiping cache and it didnt really help...
Thanks!
Try a factory reset from the stock recovery.
All of the images flashed successfully without any problems?

All of the images were flashed successfully, but if I do a factory reset, what will it exactly do? won't it erase litterally anything I Have and then I will stay out of options? I have never done a factory reset so I dont really know. If I have a CM 10.2 flashable ZIP on my storage, will it stay there after the Factory reset? Because every time I have a problem with a certain rom I just flash back to the CM 10.2

It will wipe all user data including the internal storage. Basically the phone will be exactly how it was from the factory. So yes, the cm10.2 that you have will be gone after the factory reset.
But I'm pretty confident that doing a factory reset will get the phone to boot.

A factory reset does indeed wipe everything on your phone. You're learning the hard way why it is a good idea to periodically back up your phone.
The best thing about doing a factory image reset is that you start from a know good point. If the ROM you want to use is based on 4.4, then use the 4.4 factory image. Likewise if the ROM is based on 4.4.2 then use that factory image.

Maybe you've got the same issue that I just described here : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2595057
edit : apparently nothing to do with the radio afterall
Guys Thanks you so much I did a factory reset and my phone is now working all good with 4.4.2
Just a question, Is my phone still rooted after a factory reset?

No. It was no longer rooted after flashing the stock images.
But getting root back isn't that hard. Just install a custom recovery and flash the latest supersu.

Ok thanks
I tried flashing a ROM, did a backup before. Installed the ROM like instructions said, when i rebooted i get stuck at Samsung Galaxy 5 powered by Android screen, then nothing. OK Rebooted in Recovery, restored backup, reboot again, and... Same thing.... Anyways to reflash stock rom on the phone ?
Format data/cache. If not go here and download stock firmware and flash with Odin. http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/

Cool thanks got it running again did exactly that, d/l firmeware, instal via odin
So my galaxy s4 decided not to turn on anymore and is stuck in bootloop. It is really weird the phone either gets stuck at the samsung logo or gets stuck trying to boot into recovery but just doesnt make it in. I tried installing twrp but the same result where it is stuck trying to boot into recovery but never makes it. I also tried installing stock lollipop but it still doesn't boot up. PLZ help my nexus 5 just broke and now this phone isnt working either
You're using Odin to install a stock rom? Any errors when flashing with Odin? If Odin flash was successful, did you perform a factory reset before booting the phone for the first time with the newly-flashed stock rom?Did the stock rom come from sammobile.com?

So i got the stock firmware for my s4 from sammobile and used odin to install it( downloaded fine) but after it just restarted and tried to boot into recovery mode unsuccessfully. I would have tried to do a factory reset but i cant since i cant actually get into recovery mode.
Open Odin, uncheck everything except f.reset time. Flash the rom. When you see the word reset in the status window, remove the USB cable from the phone, remove the battery, replace the battery, use the button combination to boot into recovery, factory wipe, and reboot.

OMG I LOVE YOU. I dont know how unplugging the micro usb and taking the battery out made a difference(i had flashed via odin many times unsuccessfully) but i cannot thank you enough
Glad it worked for you.
We're all here to help each other out.
Cheers.
If you wnat to install twrp and you don't like Odin too much I recomend you the app TWRP manager, you just need root, it's a very simple app
I prefer flashing TWRP via Odin as it has never failed for me.
so I had the phone originally on stock,
later I flashed custom roms, after using non official firmware I had decided I am done with that.
so I flashed the Latest official release from Samsung, however.
doing factory reset cause my phone to go into boot loop, unless I flash the original software via odin.
doing factory reset on the old software, works fine.
I am suspecting that factory reset restore an image stored on the phone (which happen to be the old one).
how do I make sure that factory reset works on the latest release.
thanks
It happened to me and i fixed it by just booting into the recovery mode and wipe the cache and thats it give it a try and inform me
