So basicly I just want to upgrade my TWRP version (from 2.6.3.2 to 2.6.3.3+) in order to flash new kitkat roms.
But I have 2 issues:
1) I have rooted my device and installed TWRP 2.6.3.2 on my LG stock rom, then I wanted to change rom, so I wiped all but internal storage and flashed Beanstalk 4.4.2 + GAPPS. Now it looks like there's a problem with my root access (root checker says that there is a problem and superSU won't install binary updates). Recovery works fine. Do I need to root my phone again or what? Can I just do these steps: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2448887 all over again?
Edit: Ok, After flashing http://download.chainfire.eu/376/SuperSU/, I just needed to deativate supersu and reactivate it. Now it works just fine!
2) I wanted to upgrade my TWRP using FreeGee, but it looks like the app couldn't load without root access (Issue 1). So can I upgrade it with just doing these steps: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2449670 all over again?
Sorry for the long questions.
Thanks

Q-Why am I posting this?
I recently bought nexus 7 2013 version and after installing the Viper FX I couldn't have the effects in streaming apps like tunein radio etc. So I searched threads after threads and I don't want anyone else to go through what I have gone through.
Caution
If any of you has viper4android installed previously then unistall the driver then uninstall the app then reboot and then flash the zip from TWRP.
So here are the steps.
1)Download the viper_v2.3.3.0.zip
2)Reboot into TWRP recovery mode
3)Flash the zip via TWRP recovery.
4)And then boot your nexus and open ViperFX
5)Grant root access and then install driver(super audio quality) (if it asks for busybox then install it from play store)
And now for configuring viper4android
just download headphones.zip extract it and place it at
/storage/sdcard0/ViPER4Android/Profile/
If u dont have folders then create by yourself and after pasting go to viperfx then in the menu>load effect rofile>headphones
please hit thanks if I helped you.
Problems with viper4android install
I would like to install Viper4android on my Nexus 2013 but am having problems . I downloaded the program from the play store , have busybox installed , set SElinux to permissive , installed viper drivers rebooted and it worked . However after a further reboot the drivers are not installed and I'm unable to install them following the steps mentioned above . I don't understand the instructions re flashing the file via TWRP recovery but have flashed my nexus using NRT so if someone could post some easy instructions I could have a go . I'd really like to get this mod working on my Nexus so any help would be appreciated . My device is rooted

I flashed one of these files and it worked great for my Nexus 7.
EDIT: Oops, you didn't mention your Android version, but anyways, I'm on MM, so read carefully if your android version is compatible.

I'm also on Marshmallow , however I've never been shown how to flash a file but I can fellow step by step instructions if you can provide a link to the files I need to flash and any other software I might need . Thanks
I am not responsible for devices this process works for my device moto g asia retail ..... Try this at your own risk
hey,
Chill everyone: while flashing twrp , custom recovery it seems mismatch of partition file ...... everyone donot use twrp who has posted in previous threads or donot flash devices with minimal ADB and fastboot through C: storage
You all need to Flash the custom recovery only through Platform tools from SDK
Then Download the latest TWRP file
After that Download supersu v2.46 then install into your device
Finally your device is rooted in Lollipop 5.1
bro, please tell step by step how to do it along with link to the required files.
Thanks

First start your phone to the bootloader and run cf autoroot (this will root your 5.1 lollipop device)
second boot you phone and check for supersu then install flashify from appstore
third paste the twrp.img to you phone and select recovery from flashify and give it root permission
you are done flashify will install the custom recovery and you will also be rooted
(incase you are on the locked bootloader follow the steps to unlock bootloader from the other threat in moto g's xda forum
It worked perfectly. Thanks for sharing.

Where to get twrp installer.. on official twrp site there is only .IMG file for 3.1.1-0 available
The procedure you have explained is for twrp by Mohan 3.1.1-1 which doesn't seem to work fine for me

twrp 3.1.1-1 (by mohan) working perfect. Use twrp installer from this thread. First ensure that boot image is unmodified . Flash stock boot for your build number and then install twrp as stated above. Unmodified boot image must to install twrp. Then root with magisk to retain ota.

Only way to install a custom recovery on your phone is via Odin, manually flash it. You can find a quick tutorial in probably every TWRP tread for Samsung devices, and so you can in the TWRP thread for your device. You flash Magisk in TWRP
Thanks i succesfully rooted my device and installed the twrp look at my new help post thanks
