Hello, hopefully I'm posting in the right place.
Basically I'm looking for a rom which is as close to stock as possible just without any bloatware at all, I basically want stock but without any pre-installed apps (ok with samsung stock apps s planner clock messaging ect)
My phone is currently on 6.0.1 sixperience rooted but that still has some koreans thing in there that annoy me so I'd rather go back to 5.1.1.
Would be great if someone could point me to one like this and hopefully a tutorial too as I'm very new. Thanks for your help.

The xtresolite cutom rom is stock without the bloatware if there is anything you need for it there are flashable zips to restore them.

That one looks good thanks, It says stock but debloated and a few nice tweaks, I'm currently on 6.0.1 sixperience with custom recovery, is it just a case of putting the rom onto my phone storage going into the recovery and doing a full wipe then flashing the rom? I would I be better off going back to 5.1.1 stock?
Thank again for your help in advance, I'm very new and only really got to 6.0.1 with a step by step guide.

That one doesn't look like stock? Wicken one has like a blue theme and stuff.
The xtresolite one looks good but I don't really know where to start, I already have sixperience and custom recovery on 6.0.1 installed but used a step by step guide.
How do I go about getting the rom installed from here? Also Do i need the 2.4a add on?

Yeah I'm currently on 6.0.1 Sixperience which is a korean port, I only really got there as I followed a tutorial on youtube that was step by step didn't really know what I was doing. The sixperience Rom is fast and debloated but it still has some korean elements which annoy me so I wanted to go to a 5.1.1 rom that was debloated and fast, I'm not sure what I have to do to get it now as I've flashed a bootloader and stuff, I was thinking I could just go back to stock 5.1.1 and go from there, hopefully flashing to stock will get rid of any bootloader I installed. Any idea on how to get from 6.0.1 to the xerolite one?
Idk if you are able to go back unless the mm port you did was a custom rom only

Just out of curiosity if anyone else is downgrading back to 4.4.4. I honestly miss having Xposed Frameworks, I know its a matter of time but not being able to use some of the features is super annoying. I know at the moment there is no workaround for the Touchwiz framework issues and Xposed on 5.0, but if you are sticking with android L how are you dealing with not having Xposed? My biggest issue is with not being able to change DPI on an app basis and not the whole UI. Please feel free to comment on why you like Kitkat or Lollipop, thanks
Never upgraded to begin with, never will until Xposed for Lollipop on touchwiz comes out. Xposed is just too useful.

I too am a dirty girl when it comes to my love of Xposed. I stayed off of LP until today. I installed CM12 5.0.02 and on NK2 today and wasn't stopping until I got everything right. Now I have Xposed and most of my mods, which is great because touch wiz runs with horrible lag, takes up a lot of Ram and what have you. I can live without every touch wiz feature but Xposed is a must!
Lollipop and no problems here.
I was on lollipop for almost a month. The benefits of 5.0 did not make up for the hit on battery life. Back to KitKat & xposed (w/greenify & amplify). I will probably try tx_dbs_tx's rom when it is completed, but I'm thinking some 5.1 is what we really need.
How did you guys downgrade? By only flashing the modem, etc and staying on 4.4.4 bootloader? I tried ODIN 4.4.4 .tar but i messed up n took the update stock unrooted
I also was on LP since its release, to me it did feel smoother battery life was about the same but i just went back to nk2 yesterday and plan to also stay untill xposed is working on LP.

I had the same problem on a different phone if you go into the TW RP or CWM you should be able to do a factory reset that's the only way I was able to fix my other phone not being able to flash anything after brick so give that a shot and let me know what happens

They did but not for the SM-S920L. There is still no rom including stock for this phone.
I'm not sure what that rom is. It was posted in the dev forum and op offered almost no details. All I know is that the file name is SM-S920L3.tar and it weighs in at 1.4GB.

In that case they must have put it up just recently. Things are starting to look up for us after all.
Maybe, I'm not going to be the guinea pig here and risk my phone on some unknown rom without a custom recovery available to backup and restore my phone should something go wrong.

Thanks, man! I'm having a few issues that I can live with with my phone, but if this works ok, I might just flash it. Oh, and I spoke with a few Straight Talk CS reps and they say that neither Tracfon, nor Samsung are going to release a stock ROM for 5.0.2. Perhaps some day we'll get an update to 5.1.1.
Ok so I it flashed in about 3 minutes for me with a pass. I noticed a set bit warranty: cache and system. I pulled the battery and then powered back on and got this:

Hello there,
I am currently found an interesting ROM in this forum called Phronesis Rom v3.0
(Link: http://forum.xda-developers.com/gal...om-phronesis-rom-v1-0-stable-feature-t3241910)
Currently I have an unrooted Note 3 with the Custom Recovery (TWRP). I know a root is required before flashing any custom ROMs. Before flashing this ROM, I have a few things that is not sure and want to confirm it...
Since I don't have permission to post a reply in that forum so I just post my questions here and hope someone can answer...
1. Since my Note 3 is different from the other countries (16GB version) while other countries have 32GB version, does this matter?
2. My current Baseband version is N9005ZSUGOK2. But I found the baseband version and kernel version in that custom ROM is different from mine (N9005XXUGBXXX) Can I flash this ROM into my Note 3? Will I brick my device if I'm doing so? (N9005ZSUG != N9005XXUGB)
<If the answer of question 2 is no, then skip the question 3>
3. Can I use the stock baseband version and stock kernel version (that is come from my region N9005ZSUG instead of using N9005XXUGB) after installed this custom ROM?
I hope someone can help me, thanks..
I also have the same problem

Thanks for the answer! But I'm just don't understand the concept between the Bootloader, Kernel, Baseband
1. Does Custom ROM brings with the Baseband? Can I use my original Baseband when using custom ROMs?
2. I have search some posts stated that the Kernel I've choose that need to be compatible with the that custom ROM. What will happen if I'm doing it wrong way? (Bootloop? Brick?... or anything esle)
3. Do I always need to upgrade to the latest bootloader?

Hi guys, I just thought I would make a reference guide of sorts for all of the 925W8 (Canadian) users because there seems to be a bit of confusion about some things, listed below are working roms, kernels, recovery and the proper xposed frameworks.
First and foremost this is in no way any of my OWN work, everything listed here is respectably reference only and any and all credit belong to the respective thread owners!
Second I wanted to share a little side note about our device, it is in similarity to the T-Mobile variant, from what I have gathered so far is that any custom roms from the T-mobile sections and s6/s6 edge universal sections are all compatible with our device provided we also flash a modified kernel afterwards. (suggested kernel with T/W8 call fix listed below.)
Third if anyone wants to add anything feel free to PM me, there are other W8 threads but I thought I would open one based off of my own personal experiences and current up to date methods.

Honestly with xtrestolite I have been using stock because I've had a busy work week so I haven't been able to test. I never usually use custom kernels unless required (mainly callfix) but plan on checking them out for OC/UV!
I know I said I was updating this yesterday and didn't get around to it so I shall update a few things here and there today throughout the weekend (sorry guys, for whom has been following), I plan on including apps and mods that are universal for all our (listed) ROMs. [MAINLY 6.0+] (I'll also be dabbling in a few other forums to dig up some more useful information.)
I have used custom kernels with the OZOP rom and CRISSCROSS rom with no troubles, ran very smooth! (sorry for somewhat dodging your question until the end heh)

Oooh. Are you trying to flash custom roms?
Let me see if I can find our builds just BL and modem. Then you can just flash that with twrp. Also once you do update to MM you will need latest twrp.

CM13 on 925W8?
I'm a newb. Way back when I had an S3, I installed CyanogenMod and it was great. I haven't dabbled since. I'd like to install CM13 on my SM-925W8. Can someone tell me whether or not this is possible? I'd be very grateful. Thank you.

You will only be able to downgrade to Lollipop. I believe it's because the bootloader cannot be downgraded to one that is compatible with KitKat.
Can anyone else help me with this? I think I'm right but I may be wrong.
Why not downgrade to a bone stock 5.1.1? Lollipop is much better than KitKat in my opinion. Good luck.

I had a 5.0 lollipop rom and issues with lag too. Never tried a bone stock. Kit Kat was flawless for me

Don't go back to a 5.0/5.01/5.02 ROM. Stick with a 5.1 or 5.1.1. You will have a better experience.

I am on PB1 firmware and running NK2 kernel and rom.

Give this one a try. It's a 5.1.1 Note 5 port. Looks pretty interesting. Good luck.

Sorry, I forgot to post the link. Do you still have a locked bootloader?
Here was my suggestion:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/verizon-galaxy-s5/development/purenote-5port5-1-1-rom-t3346368
If you really want to go back to KitKat you can flash a custom ROM based on 4.4.2 or 4.4.4 with TWRP.
This one is not bad for a KitKat ROM:

Question, are you trying to open the link in the XDA-Developers app or in your browser? Try the browser. See if this link works.

Damn. When I click on the link or copy and paste it in my browser it works like it should. Do a Google search for these exact key words:
Verizon Galaxy S5 XDA
Click on the 1st link that Google displays
That will take you to the main XDA forum page for the Verizon Galaxy S5.
Click on the red box that says FORUM JUMPER and select the on that says VERIZON GALAXY S5 ANDROID DEVELOPMENT
Scroll down to the 14th post that says this:
★[Rom][G900VVRU1ANI2][4.4.4] Stock Root Odex/Deodex/Knox-Free★
That's the ROM I was suggesting. The developer is awesome and build great ROM's. I use his Pure Nexus ROM on my Nexus 6 sometimes. Good luck.

He means the afh links for the rom is down. Both of them.
I have everything PB1 @zachspod that will not keep you from running kitkat rom.
I have the Archeron rom running right now.

Thought that once your baseband passed OE1, you couldn't do that. You broke my brain!

Did you flash the KitKat firmware for your S5 using Odin or through Philz/TWRP?

I'm on pb1 firmware. Just flashed the nk2 acheron rom and the nk2 kernel which is included in the rom.
I did it all with twrp but the same could be accomplished with ss or flashfire.
I know a user with a locked bl that did it with flashfire.
