One more of problems i got whit 6P is that when i make screenshot sound isnt played for it but any other screenshot and sound is played properly.
I can replicate this by rebooting device and testing again.
Device is full stock,no root.
I did clear cache in recovery just to be sure and still problem is present.

I know I have to press them at the same time. It gives me a bug report. The weird thing is it is actually taking a screenshot but it says it's a bug report and I have to save it to Google drive first then I go to drive and there are two files one is a .zip the others is a screenshot. It's weird I have never seen that before. But this is my first time using a non Samsung in a long time pluss this is the first phone I have ever had that was not rooted with a custom ROM. So maybe it's just a little different. I always use a aosp ROM like cm or aokp but they are modded so maybe it's just that I don't know.

I see so many threads where people say "I had to pull the battery".
This is not necessary just hold down the power button for over 10 seconds and your phone will reboot.
Hope this helps some of you.

I Tried it earlier also but I think I didn't pressed the button for 10 secs. Now when I read your post I re tried and waited long and phone rebooted. Thankxx man.

Sometime, u really need to pull the battery out , let say, for example, when ur phone boot in a loop and just showing the samsung bootscreen....
But I agree with u, most problem that people share here doesnt require to pull the battery out
Sent from my GT-I9000 using Tapatalk
Actually you can usually enter download or recovery mode while the phone is looping without even touching power button. The power button part of the sequence is just to turn on the phone. Just hold home and vol up/down and the phone will enter recovery/download the next time it reboots. I have only had to pull the battery once it was when something goofed in download mode.

Apparently when I applied a bit of Brain then I discovered that u don't need to switch your phone off compeltely for going into recovery mode.
Just try this- press and hold power button for 5 secs or so and then press volume up and home button. Keep all of them pressed and you will enter into recovery . It isn't such a gr8 find, its the same as what u do when u turn your phone off and go to recovery but its more easy.

I beg to differ. Rebooting to fix issues doesn't work all the time either, is it useless to suggest that too?
I've had my galaxy s since launch, and it has never failed to reboot by holding the power button. So for whatever special cases where it may not work, there are literally hundreds that will. This fact alone makes this thread anything but useless. Besides, the battery cover is not very durable, anything that helps to avoid removing it is good, even if just occasionally.

Hello everyone,
Curious if anyone is having the same issue as me? I have tried multiple roms, stock, with and without kernels.
I am having some touch issues. Either I have to press harder then normal at times or multiple times for my press to register. Its getting quite annoying. Not sure if this is a defect or if i can modify something within the system files to make the screen more sensitive or if there is even a way to re-calibrate my sensors/screen?
Thank you in advance,
DFL

Has anyone decided if this is a hardware or software problem? I've started having the same issue. Turning off the screen sometimes fixes it for me but not always. A reboot always fixes it.
Like just now... I was playing Zenonia 2 and in the middle of a battle I suddenly couldn't get the touchscreen to respond. I hit power to lock the device and immediately tried to turn it back on with power again... but I couldn't even get the unlock screen to work. I set it down for about 30 seconds and when I tried again it was fine. I pulled the game back to the top and it worked fine.
When this happens the "soft" buttons (back, home, etc) always seem to work just fine, so I'm inclined to say it's really a software problem.
Running stock + root.
My thought is that it has to be a hardware issue, or if everyone with the issues is rooted than it could be from the root. My device has fantastic response however I am not rooted.

I would think hardware as well, but the home and back buttons always work and they use the same touch surface...
I got the same thing here and rebooting appears to fix it. Sometimes it is so bad that I cannot move icons from one screen to another.
Did you guys try flashing stock 4.1.1 using fastboot or the toolkit? If that does fix it then its probably hardware problem.

I have the same issue and mine isn't rooted yet so I don't think it is an issue with that. A wipe of the device doesn't help but a reboot usually does. This is my second N7 as the first was a warranty replacement for the headphone jack issue. The first never had the issue so I think it is an issue that should be addressed. I am outside my 14 days so I might have to go through Asus now.
---------- Post added at 01:23 PM ---------- Previous post was at 12:50 PM ----------
For what it is worth, I just called Google and they are going to send me a new one. The lady that assisted me stated that she has had a few complaints with this issue and that they just replace it. N7 #3 should be on the way in a couple days. For some reason she said that the device wasn't set up properly in my profile so it will add a couple days to the process because of the long weekend.
Not a big deal. I have lived with it for a while now. At least they appear to be taking care of it and I wasn't transferred to Asus. At least yet.

I guess that can takes you out of a freeze.

On the nexus 4 the 10sec power button reboot is programmed on the hardware layer(pre-boot) and not the software layer. No matter how bad you freeze your phone in the o/s the power button hold will always reboot it plain and simple.
If you have a hardware issue though then your in trouble no matter what.

no point in installing useless apps that consume memory when its in the OS natively. its not that difficult to press two buttons at the same time and getting it right. once you do it once or twice, you'd get the hang of it and all is good.
either that or flash a custom rom and u can add the screenshot button on your long press power button menu.

Place your hand on the volume down and power button before pressing them and then hold them both at the same time until your phone makes a screen shot animation.
I will give Samsung this though the slide to screen shot is very intuitive on the touch wiz platform.
