I am rooted, with s-off.. and I cant mount r/w with root explorer anywhere in the /system folder. It works everywhere else.
I even tried
terminal emulator
su
mount -o remount,rw /system
I found that in another thread, still wont work.
EDIT: nevermind, found in a few posts down. its busybox mount -o remount,rw /system..
I have been trying to add/remove files in my /system directory but I'm having quite the difficulty.
The adb terminal already has SU access, I get a #.
I've tried mount -o remount,rw /system and then going back into ASTRO to paste something but it won't let me
I did also try cd /system after trying that but it doesn't do anything....
I've also tried adb remount but I get access denied.
Is it that I need Root Explorer or is there no avail?
Hello All
I followed the guide here to root my Moto G4 (Not plus).
It worked on but now when I try to move an app to system using "/app/system mover" I get the following error Could not remount /System.
I have also tried opening a terminal and typing
"Mount -0 rw, remount /system" and receive the error "system" not in process mounts
I have also run "mount" without parameters to come up with the command " Mount -0 rw,remount /dev/block/mmcblk0p47 on / system type ext4"
This provides me with the error "Mount: max 2 arguments"
Any help would be appreciated.
Can anyone help? I'm a bit new to this so please assume I know nothing and reply at basic level.
Cheers
mount -o rw, remount /
I'm just having root from Magisk 13 on B25. I used ES File Explorer to convert some app into system app but /system doesn't give me rw permission. I keep change back to RO on my root explorer.
I diid terminal command and have this
mount -o remount,rw /system
mount: '/dev/block/bootdevice/by-name/system'->'/system': Device or resource busy
Click to collapse
and this
mount | grep \system
/dev/block/sde13 on /system type ext4 (ro,seclabel,relatime,discard,data=ordered)
/dev/block/loop0 on /system/etc/hosts type ext4 (rw,seclabel,relatime,data=ordered)
Click to collapse
I feel like the security doesn't let me change permission for system somehow.
Thanks in advanced!
NVm, i solved the issue. I haven't disable the write protection. I guess i need to do it after upgrade android.
I am using Rom OOS Pie Port for X00T / D, it has some junk applications and I need to remove them. I have rooted the device, but when I deleted it using file manager apps, I received a failure message (tried r / w).
I have searched for solutions on Google such as disable dm-verity but it still continues, in the twrp file manager delete the error message 1 In Terminal I tried mount but I get:
Code:
$ su
ount -o rw,remount /system <
'/dev/block/platform/soc/c0c4000.sdhci/by-name/system' is read-only
ount -o,remount /dev/block/mmcblk0p13 /system <
mount: '/system' not in /proc/mounts
Sir, pls help me tks all
