I have a question. If I would like to use the SmartWatch following situation: I'm going on a bike, on hand SmartWatch (without SIM in slot), in a backpack or pocket smartphone HH6 (with SIM) paired with a watch by BT. Someone calls me, I answer a call on the watch and lead the conversation by saying to the hand on the steering wheel. At this time, simultaneously goes GPS and Endomondo. It is feasible that equipment? Such a test network I have not seen, and the only excitement is that you can let go of a game or film. Which to me is a complete misunderstanding, taking into account the size of the display and battery.
I thought about d5 but there probably is not possible to carry on a conversation by saying to watch when the SIM card is in your phone.
Can the new K18 (2016) would give this advice? Is K18 and K10 the same thing?

I would say a yes - sort of... There are considerations which would affect your scenario that would impact *any* device regardless of who manufactures it. If the phone is in a backpack and the watch on your wrist, there there will probably be issues with BLE signal quality between the devices. However, if the phone is on the side where you're wearing the watch, then there will less drops/glitches. This of course is *before* we talk about the quality of the wrist device itself - in how well its microphone/speaker might work, etc.
With all of that said, I have a similar setup with several devices. I just received the No.1 A10 (mainly for swimming but also for general use when out-and-about) and the K9 3G (more for 'civilized' situations) each of which I pair with my HTC one M8 when in-use. I also have a SIM in my K9 3G, both as a backup for my phone and for SMS (I've been involved with the SWApps Link app roadmap since early stages - so I test its failover from BLE to Push and SMS) and for tethered use/notifications from the phone. I'm not sure if that helps you, but it should give you some 'color' on the options that are available.
I think just about *any* device will promise to do what you suggest. But there's bad news: the real world. The little bit of time I've spend with the A10 as a transponder (phone calling **** Tracy style, but the call is to/from the mobile phone in my pocket with the A10 as mic/speaker) has been bad enough that I pulled the phone from my pocket and took over the call. I'll spend more time experimenting with it and the K9, but I'm not sure if the technology is really ready for the real world, if the hardware I've selected is actually up to the task - or - if my standards are simply too high.
I thinks all you need it an Android wear/ or Original Android to connect with your phone and also can run Endomondo. To answer the call, I think it will be better if you use a bluetooth headset, It will better for music, voice training and call.
Now I'm using a D5 with backup sim with a mi bluetooth headset to track my running. I let my phone home and set an automatic app to send a sms for someone who call my phone to call to my backup number in necessary case. And it just works fine with me (I try and D5 can run almost all running apps quite good. But for see the map when you run, looklike Runkeeper and Endomondo is the best)
So at the moment is not fully good watch, which can be used for making calls, if your SIM card is near the inside of the phone?
I care not to insert every time the SIM card from my phone to watch and vice versa. I also do not want to run another SIM number.
Are D5 offers such a possibility at all? In the movies on YT people call from the watch, in which is placed SIM card. I have not seen anyone talking on his watch and the SIM card in the phone.
Are currently in the Chinese market is something better than D5 in price to approx 150$. I mean similar or better functionality. I mainly depends essentially on the good battery life, protection against light rain, GPS and the communication with the phone, about which we speak. Maybe M8? There is battery 600mAh.

You confusion is well founded. My two examples, the No1 A10 and the K9 3G are to show examples of *completely* different device setups.
A10 - Bluetooth connection to phone only - no SIM. It has a microphone and speaker for using like a bluetooth headset for answering calls, except it's on your wrist. The No1 A10 can be found online for $50-60US.
K9 - It can *both* function as a bluetooth extension to the phone like the A10- - AND - also operate on its own with a SIM chip inside the watch itself. Depending on how your carrier operates, you *may* be able to set up the SIM on your wrist to look/act/feel like the SIM on your phone (presenting the same number, receiving calls, etc) so that the experience is relatively seamless. But aside from the technical hurdles as to whether the telecom/mobile carrier actually allows this function - there's the cost. I paid $124 for the K9 3G and you can find it for prices in that range at various outlets online. The cost of running a second SIM and related hassles vary widely.
The D5 is more similar to (and perhaps even exactly the same as) the K9 3G though I don't know the D5. I chose the K9 because of the 1900 support that allows me to use it on T-Mobile in the US.
These two different device profiles give different positives and negatives. One the one hand, the K9 is a much "smarter" watch, with more capaiblities - being that it runs full Android 4.4.2. On the down side, it burns through battery very quickly when in heavy use (such as running Google Fit to track steps/location via GPS during workouts) - and it isn't fully waterproof. The A10 is water "resistent" and presumably more able to handle the rough-and-tumble world, and the battery last several days without a charge - but - it has no SIM, no memory to speak of, and relatively limited functionality.
That is a very, very long way of saying YMMV (your mileage may vary).

I am very new to PDA and SmartPhones. Right now I am using to plain razr v3 to check email and talk on. I am having issues with it buzzing when I talk. Cingular is making it possible to get the 8125 (new) for $0.00 (free). Is this Pocket PC a good deal for me to use as a phone in my everyday use. I also will be using it with and without media net over my WiFi. If I can get it to work.
I cant afford the 8525 right now nor can I justify it. But to get on free I might.
A few newbie questions (please)
1. Is the phone quality equal to the Razr V3 and other cell phones?
2. Can the sd card be filled with music or movies to be listened to with a headset and when a call comes in will it interrupt?
3.Is there an airplane mode on this unit?
4.Battery Life, how is it?

4. My standard battery lasts with lots of playing around during the day for 1 and a half day. I bought me an extended battery which lasts for more than 4 days. A friend of mine has the same device but he 'survives' with the standard battery for 2 days and longer ...
The performance of the device is not that great but it won't effect you. I only mention this because of I had a DELL AXIM X51v before with a 640MHz processor, so, I felt the difference to the 195MHz within the WIZARD series - I still can do what I want to do with it, so, I am happy ...
I cant compare to the K800i becuase I dont know what that is nor have I ever used one. Is it worth me getting for 199.00 and 100.00 rebate and then a 99.00 credit from Cingular?

I had the RAZR myself for a while, liked it but it wasn't enough for my needs. The audio quality is almost the same.
The question you need to answer for yourself is if you have use for a pocket computer! Never forget: this is not a cell phone with integrated PDA - it is a Pocket-PC with cell phone capabilities! You won't have a number pad like on a regular cell phone nor will it fit easily in your pocket. It is quite heavvy and therefore it only makes sense if you really want / need a PDA.
Seeing the price I would say: go for it!

do you like gadgets? if you're like me you'll will fall in love with being to do pretty much anything you want on a handheld device. It's not that heavy, compared to a razr, then yea it is. But the razr doesnt weigh anything so i dont think its fair to compare to that.
I do put it in my pocket and i don't find it to have too much difference between my old "regular phone" carrying wise
and there is a phone pad, but it's touchscreen, and it's always one button away.
I love it and think pocket pc phones are 100% percent better then any other regular phone.
oh and does it play music and videos? It had windows media player...literally!

I am using it for writing programs on the go and just compile them later on a desktop.
There are 2 investments you might consider:
1.
I bought myself a desktop cradle on eBay which keeps the device in a comfortable 'typing position'. It came even with an additional stylus and a car charger for only US$12.00 ...
2.
Almost a 'must have' if you want to be productive: a 2nd battery ...
Like I mentioned before: the phone part is acceptable and you can even place and answer calls without using the stylus at all (as long as the person you want to call is in your address book).
The only draw back is the plain text-only email. But there are solutions available: either FLEXMAIL with full html support or upgrade the ROM to WM6. Also: don't expect anything good from the integrated camera - it is not better than the one in the RAZR.
I hope it helps you to make a decission. Maybe you have a Cingular store nearby and can check out the device if they still carry them?
I have a friend that had one and now has the 8525. he says other than the 3G he liked to 8125 better. But for free I can always sell it on ebay and recoupe money to get another.

If I turn this off and decied to use the WiFi for internet, I hear of people getting charged high rates from cingular for data. How can I get around that? (explain)
2. On the 8125 I assume there is a way to lock the touch screen. If so is it a pain to do this or can the keys be remapped?
3. I saw on a friend 8525 where he had his call contacts photos on the screen to tap them to make calls. Can the 8125 do this as well?

How could one use a cell phone(s) to listen in on their office when off premise. For instance-A phone with ringer turned off & auto answer where a phone will answer after a set amount of silent rings-3, 5, 10 etc. Or could Bluetooth be used if someone was only 15 feet away & again an auto answer scenario/setting. Sometimes a headset is supposedly needed & has to be plugged into achieve this effect & would use the Michael in the headset for listening. Any hardcore mods would be OK that may require soldering, micro soldering, extra parts, rehousing phone in different case, programs etc. Also, If anyone knows of any Java options/programs or anything that would need a cable & software would be fine too. Yeah, An older Java type track phone would be great-But Android, Windows Mobile etc. would be fine. Or would a website work for 2.4 ghz fine tuned to the device & have it bookmarked on a browser on an android phone device for quick access but prob limited range unless there is a site you can buy a page for your special needs-Or what aouta scanner site like radio reference?. Also is there anyway to listen to the audio portion of 2.4 ghz The portion of the band used for security cameras etc. Audio would be fine-Video a bonus. Bluetooth operates somewhere in the 2.4 ghz band as well. Hi I thought I would give a quick review of my gv18 smartwatch purchased for £28 from ebay uk seller so here goes.
The item arrived via Argos click and collect which I was very happy with as I don't drive and work 9-5 and hate receiving royal mail undelivered cards.
The watch is packed in a rather generic looking box with aplus watch printed on the box.
Inside I found the watch and a usb cable along with a User manually with a poorly translated english section so I decided to just charge and test the watch. A full charge took just over an hour. Startup was quick a few seconds really and then I was ready to go. I scanned the mediatek app from the qr code but it wouldn't install on my xperia z3 so downloaded and installed via playstore. Within seconds I was receiving all of my notifications. I could even play music through my watch from my phone using xperia z3s throw feature and was pleasantly surprised by the volume and quality of the watch speaker. If I turn off the throw feature I can control the phones audio via the watch through the phones speaker. I promptly tested the calling and was pleased to note that the caller could hear me very clearly as well as me hearing them albeit in a similar way to hands free on my phone but a lot clearer. Sadly I do not believe there is a way to link the watch directly to bluetooth headset which is a shame as this was my main hope for this watch with the expandable memory. Battery life is good at about 2-3 days limited use with backlight on medium. Regarding the phones other features I can say the pedometer works although I'm unsure of the accuracy, texting even with the keyboard options is pretty much pointless due to the size of the keyboard and poor autocorrect word options. Along with this I have noticed that from time to time my bluetotth disconnects and when on a non silent profile rings continuously and on silent the has a verry week vibration. That said though for a nice looking comfortable watch with easily replaceable bands ( about £6 on ebay for 24mm straight end strap, however you will lose nfc) that is a great handsfree device and receives all notifications and for £28 this watch is deffinately worth the money but I'm thinking of looking at the k8 or s8 now for gps and hope of bluetooth headset when free of phone. UPDATE I have now established that you use bluetooth dialler app to use bluetooth headset however with one headset I use connection strength is almost non existent as unless the phone is touching the headset it disconnects and now with my boudoir earphones I get a connection but with wrist at waist I get drop outs both headsets have good range when paired with my phone.

in softweare the build time is 24-7-2015. Managed to connect phone and a bt headset to play music. But will probably not use that option all that much.
Mine didn't have the screw either I'm wondering if bluetooth connection is a bit ropey due to changing to metal strap.
well, I tested the bluetooth quicly with sonyericsson mw600 headset. I tried dialing with the mw600 inside the jacket and it seemed to work. Just a quick test over lets say 1m distance.
I am thinking of putting some cling film on it or something else for water\moisture protection when hiking.

Couldn't get sim card working
I tried my phone's sim card in the watch, found AT&T's network configuration page, and attempted to get the watch connected. After many unsuccessful attempts, I gave up. Theoretically, the watch gives you a browser, facebook, and whatsapp apps if you're connected with sim card.
just bought it from amazon, will use it primarily to listen to music via bluetooth headphones while jogging. hopefully it works great for my purpose
Since autumn and winter is coming i am looking for a cheap way to receive calls on the wrist, while the phone is protected from the rain. Tired of having the earbud from the Sony Bluetooth Headset SBH50 constantly on.
Since there seems to be several different brand names for these devices I dont know what to go for.

I'd like to buy a smartwatch, however all that meet my requirements (AMOLED, waterproof) are stand-alone versions, with SIM card slot. I've notice that most of these watches do not support full phone synchronization. None of them will be able to make or receive calls properly through Bluetooth if that is what you are asking.
There is a reason for this. Google owns the api that allows this kind of interaction with Android. They will never allow it to be used on these watches. To google, these watches go against everything they are working on with Android Wear. They also protest that it is a security issue.
So, long story short - if you want full Bluetooth interactive mode you will need a Wear watch.
Not one of these Bluetooth pairing watches you find on Aliexpress. They also are not allowed to use these api's and cannot make or receive calls over Bluetooth.
If you find one that really works (a lot of them claim to but don't) I'd be interested ?
