Cf-auto root .tar released wut? - Galaxy S6 Edge+ Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

So the other day I was looking on chainfire`s auto root page https://autoroot.chainfire.eu/ and I saw that tar root package for the g928 variants are avalable.I do have my g928f rooted,but from my understanding you can only root it with costum kernels.How is this different from the ones witch I rooted other devices with?

Week there isn't any special root. You just root it like a regular one. With CF Auto-root or first installing custom recovery and then installing root (SuperSU).

Friend tried to root his phone but apparently didnt install the right .tar while using ODIN. Downloads used:

Twrp-klte for Odin

I am trying to find out what are the specs to figure out what would be the proper firmware and tmb. It was 5.1.1 Quick question, would it be possible to download a firmware that is 4.2.2 and then update?

flashfire with Everroot option, work with move from 4.4.2 to 6.0.1?
I mean add Firmware(with PDA and CSC...)and tick Everroot option(in flashfire) will work Properly?with full root access?

There is a no way to root marshmallow as of now
Downgrade to lollipop either ok3 firmware or pb1
and use Jr Kruse ok3 root method on xda in the s5 verizon forum
Then install safestrap and then search XDA forums for how to install rooted mm roms using safestrap on a locked bootloader
