Will you be able to hear surround sound 5.1 DTS on the tab 7.7 ?

The Galaxy Tab 7.7 can play DTS .mkv movies using DicePlayer or MX Player.
However, I don't know if it will be able to output 5.1 sound quality using a 5.1 headphones. Will it give you a surround sound effects using 5.1 headphones?
I am currently using a good quality earphone to watch DTS .mkv movies but I will consider getting a good 5.1 surround sound headphone if it actually produce the surround 5.1 effect.
....or does the Tab 7.7 will downsample the 5.1 DTS coding to stereo sound. If this is the case, then getting a 5.1 DTS surround sound headphone is pointless.
Any input reguarding this?

I've noticed you have the option to select 5.1 surround sound and I did notice a change in sound output when selected, however I don't have a 5.1 system to test it

Well, at least for our tab that's wrong. To experience better surround sound when watching a movie, turn off Dolby mobile, seriously You'll feel the difference. And here's an app to pin point the difference https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.jasonfarrell.stereotest . Try it with Dolby mobile off and on.
Go on, test my theory, with the built in speakers, head phones or any other speaker system.

hei jodi' i notices some apps run better with the dolby switched off too plus i have equalizer installed. i think dolby mobile is pretty much like beats audio but it should be better......but it aint....then again some movies play better with it on..i dunno

What equalizer? How u installed it? Does it work all the way throughout the tablet?

Comes installed in Civato’s Flexreaper rom nice can choose between the two audio enhancements.
Also in Playstore as an App.

I just got my A500 last night and it comes with the Hero of Sparta game that I tried. The game ran great but the sounds/music was kinda screwy and choppy, could Dolby Mobile be the cause?

It is already fix by @jackeagle, and you can revisit the thread for the patch. He updated it 04-24-2016.

CM 13 for E500H only is already safe to try.

Overall performance is very good. But the sound is very low. I've tested it.

Sound is low only on music playback on stock player like i said already use MX Player with SW Encoder.

Yes. I'm already using MX player and it works fine. It's a good ROM. Thanks for your hard work. :good:

i'm using cm 13 latest build. no sound no mic can't adjust brightness.. even playing videoa cant play. unless using vlc and others. it plays the video but the sound. nothing to hear...

Soundalive for Lineage OS based rom??

Just wondering if there is a possibility that the audio quality of Lineage OS will be the same as the Touchwiz's audio quality. Soundalive for me has a richer audio quality than the others..

You want to improve sound quality then flash any sound mod like viper4android ,dolby atmos etc

Soundalive has very great audio quality
There is no comparison with viper4android etc.

Nvidia shield tube 2019(truehd 7.1 dolby atmos)

just ordered the nvidia shield tube 2019...but i am confuse with dolby atmos true hd 7.1 support...i am using it only for 1080p dolby atmos true hd 7.1 or 4k atmos(but on a rare occasion because my tv is 1080p)...also no gaming or no over the network playback on plex....all playback will be happen from a 256gb sd card...inserted in the the tube...so my question is should i face any issue with true hd 7.1 atmos

Works fine on all the shields since 2015. If your receiver doesn't do that though you'll be SOL.

my reciever support dolby atmos true hd 7.1 and dts x both...my recieve model is denon x1400h...

Then it'll work fine.
