Hello,
I was on a stock ROM and decided I wanted to try a custom ROM so using TWRP 2.7.1.0 (latest) I created a ROM backup. I had trouble flashing roms using TWRP when the ROM was on the extSD card and I had copied and pasted the file. Once I downloaded the ROM through the phone and flashed from the Downloads directory on the internal storage it finally worked.
So now I want to go back to my stock ROM. I have a copy of the backup on the internal and external SD card. Neither restore will work. Every time it trys to "Restore Data" it fails. Now I am in Recovery mode with no OS and no ROMS on the internal storage.
Any idea why the restore won't work and if I have any options with no ROM installed?
flashed official PACMAN RC-1, then restored nandroid backup using TWRP.
Can't seem to write files in sdcard0 after that. Please help
I had this problem too
You must re flash your stock rom with odin
I have make my first backup restore and now i lost write permission on the intern sd card. What can i do? In Philz Recovery there is no option for fix permission.
Edit: I have flash a other Kernel and all working fine now.
Dear forum members,
Im having issues with writing to my internal sd card, here the descripption of what i did:
I installed the rom Phronesis v6.2, everything was working perfectly until I realized that xposed was missing, I decided to install it by flashing the xposed-v80-sdk22-arm, unfortunately I got a boot loop so i decided to go back to my original stock rom (4.4.2) restoring a nondroid backup.
The problem is that after restoring it seems that I lost writing privileges to my internal sd card, using es file explorer shows that the storage/emulated/0 folder is empty, but it displays that is using 16 gb from 26. Using the stock “my files” the folders are displayed but I cannot copy anything to it (failed to copy). Applications in general work (some force closes) but I cannot save any settings
If I connect the phone to a pc, i cannot copy any files from the computer to the internal or external sd cards, however I can copy from the external sd to the computer.
I tried to format clear cache etc and restore again but the issue persists.
Can anyone be so kind and try to help me figure out a possible solution?
Thanks in advance

1. Go to your custom recovery and wipe all (system, data, dalvik).
2. Reboot in DOWNLOAD MODE and flash the ORIGINAL STOCK android 4.4.2 firmware via ODIN.
3. Root your device and flash via ODIN the custom recovery again.
4. Restore your nandroid backup.
5. Done. Good luck :highfive:
Hello Joku,
Thanks a lot for the reply, i fixed the issue by formatting the internal sd, wiping all (system, data, dalvik) and then restoring the nandroid backup, now all works.
Thanks again!

The "Philz recovery 6.58.9" sd card is not getting backups. please help me..
Hello to everyone,
First I apologize for my bad english.
My phone is Note4 N910C Exynos.
I use "Philz recovery 6.58.9 treltexx (Exynos) - SM-N910C" as my recovery on my phone. My problem is; I can not get the Sd card in any way. It always fails. But I can do all the other things. I can even restore backups I received with CWM. What I did not do, the site I did not research the method I did not search. I need to make a backup to sd card since the phone has no space in my memory. It is very important to me that the Sd card mounts best and smoothly. We are very pleased to help you with your recovery. Please do not make offers such as TWRP and CWM use.
I'm getting this error.
