Problem with custom ROMs on the G900P - Galaxy S 5 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi guys, when to flash custom rom on the 900F , 3g is lost and there is no line APN settings and select CDMA or GSM, CDMA only works without a 3g .... cant understand what was happening, there was a problem after updating to OK4 tried already ... about 10 ROMs ...

So... What phone do you have? a G900F or a G900P? Remember that sometimes the custom roms for G900F are not compatible with a G900P and if you use it on Sprint you won't be able to get your phone to work correctly with CDMA, Reflash to stock OK3 on odin but before wipe data cache and stuffs... Hope it helps, it does on my G900P

I have G900P ... Until the update to OK4, everything worked

in the upper left corner instead of the Sprint ... roaming indicator is written off

Canadian ROM only shows 4G signal icon (with LTE speeds) - why ?

Hi all,
I recently bought a Galaxy S4 337M that was rooted and loaded with a custom ROM. I decided to go back to stock so went to sammobile.net and got the latest rogers firmware for my galaxy S4 (which they said was 4.3).
I loaded with ODIN, all went well, rebooted stock, but the max signal icon I can get now is 4G (even though I used speedtest and am getting close to LTE download speeds I think). Any idea why my LTE is gone ? Did I download the wrong ROM ?
I also noticed that none of the APN settings were there and no rogers apps were installed either. Makes me wonder if it was indeed a stock rogers rom after all.
Another strange thing is that it shows me a bell canada navigator update is available in the google play store, yet its not even on my phone. Regardless, even if its a Bell ROM by some chance, Bell Canada has LTE as well, so I am confused.
Btw I used the standard ltemobile APN settings that I always use on all my phones to get LTE (that always work)....
Any help or suggestions would be really appreciated, thanks so much !!!
My iPhone shows LTE using the same SIM...
PS. If I do need to get an original Rogers ROM, is sammmobile not the best place lol ? Any other places to go??

I believe that all I337M uses that same firmware but you need a CSC changer to make it change to your carrier as they don't release the specific ones with the carrier apps.
Search "Samsung CSC" in the play store and you should get one.
Thanks for the reply.
Seems I need root - which I deleted when doing a factory restore.
The strange thing is that it was supposed to be a rogers based firmware that I downloaded and flashed.
Maybe something went wrong in the flash.
Will try again.
And check out the CSC
i have a bell i337m and i have the same issue when flashing from a "custom rom to stock" and i have to flash the firmware using odin a second time and than i get my LTE icon enstead of the 4G icon, sounds weird and i can't explain why it takes 2 flashes to get it to show up proper, but it does.
i also have the problem with missing phone vendor apps, the second flash also makes these show up too.
also another thing i noted about my phone is if i don't root and install recovery to wipe, odin will dirty flash my roms, even though odin is supposed to wipe it isn't.
i've tested this to no ends, the results are 100% the same everytime.

After flashing the stock Rom, go back into stock recovery and wipe data and cache, then reboot that should fix it. To fix your csc issue there is a way to do it by dialling a number on your dialpad which includes your imei number then you choose a specific code. Search for it, google

Thanks so much for the replies and help.
I wiped the rom just for fun and rebooted and noticed that its actuality a BELL ROM (all stock BELL apps etc), but when I entered my rogers APN settings it still only showed H+, maybe due to network differences. It's frustrating because I specifically selected a Rogers S4 ROM from Sammobile.net. Any idea where I can get a stock rogers ROM for s4? Also do you think this may have affected my 4G/LTE issue ??
Either way, I will definitely flash the correct ROM twice, and then go back into stock recovery to to wipe data and cache.
Thanks again for all your help

follow this guide, http://www.droidviews.com/how-to-change-csc-in-samsung-galaxy-phones/ real easy, itll put you back to a rogers rom, all the firmwares on sammobile are BELL ROMS. you have to change the CSC yourself.
THAT WORKED
Thanks so much !!!

G900S with G900F stock rom, wifi can't remember

Hi Guys,
I have g900s and flashed G900F stock rom. Can't boot normal.
Used this enabler
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2789848
Everything ok, but Wifi no longer work.
Is there any solution?
I tried a wifi enabler but the wifi password can't save.
Please advise and thanks in advance.
anybody?
Different Model??
Im not sure if this would work since its a different model ROM, but I'm wondering if it will because i have a G900S model and i hate the korean bloatware and the korean letters on the dialpad!!
If your phone is G900S, don't flash a different model ROM on it
Check download mode, whichever model it says in there is the correct model
Try this for wifi fix

[Q] How to use EDGE network mode Sprint S4 ??

the phone uses HSPA+ which well if you are a pre-paid customer in a 3rd world country find it hard to manage. it chews up all my airtime within a minute or two, so i went custom. installed Omni ROM 4.4.4 and found that GSM Only radio button, which is missing in the official NG2 4.4.2 ROM. then i did sth wrong and had to flash the official ROM again but look, it retained the settings from the omni rom. that's when i discovered it had the icon for E. so am guessing there's a work around without having me to flash a custom rom, or is there not?? Please Help!!
Solved!!

Flash SM-G900F firmare into SM-G900T (T-Mobile)

Hey guys.
Any of you knows if I can install G900FXXU1CPD2 (which is for G900F) into a G900T, just using Odin? I have been reading and I've seen in many places that a lot of roms for the F version would work on the T version, as long as they're unbranded and have nothing specific on them. This one is supposed to be unbranded (Netherlands) without any kind of bloatware or apps from any mobile provider.
What do I need to do in order to flash it and make it work? Maybe not flashing the bootloader? As mentioned I've seen videos where a G900F rom was flashed into the G900T variant without problems.
And if it can't be done with this one, is there any other unbranded G900F rom that would work with my G900T? Or any G900T firmware pure stock, like Google Play Edition or similar?
I want a clean unbranded rom, as T-Mobile has the weird tradition of removing options (like the data mobile switch) and forcing updates on you (there's no way to disable or stop OTA updates ... and the phone starts downloading them even if you are on 3G/4G!! No way to select "only Wifi" either ).
My G900T has the last Marshmallow version, and it's 100% T-Mobile stock, no root or anything.
Thanks!
Bro to stop OTA Updates just flash latest Twrp And flash ( Beta supersu ) .......
I don't think that stock g900f is work on g900t
Sorry for my bad English
To Enable Mobile Data Toggle
Use QuickPanel Maneger
Like screenshots
But when you restart your phone you need to do this again
Hey!
Thanks for your answers, I am already using a similar solution than QuickPanel Manager, but yeah you have to do this every time you reboot.
However, I would like to get rid of all the nonsense stuff T-Mobile has embedded in my S5, and still have the option to update my phone ... when I WANT, not whenever an OTA update comes and I am on a limited mobile data plan. So I don't want to disable OTAs, just download them whenever I want.
So going back to my point, no chance this G900F firmware would work on my G900T firmware? Both are snapdragon and apparently (as I read everywhere) shouldn't be any problem.
