[Q] About /misc partition

Hi friends. I have a exynos device n9000q
I accidently format my /misc partition. Now in recovery it shows "cant partition the non mmcblk device: /devices/platform/dw_mmc.2/mmc_host/mmc2"
Is there any workaround for that? I try to reflash the stock firmware with odin it flashed succesfuly but it didnt solve my issue. For my understanding the stock firmware didnt have misc partition.
I need help.
Anything?
How did you format the /misc partition?
It was a mistake. I write a installer script to create flashable zip. I use the wrong block code blck16 or something. So now cwm says misc partition cannot load. I need to flash misc partition with the pit file i think.
Please help.. I really need to fix it.
Does flashing a stock rom write this partition again?
I have the n9005 so i wouldn't know.

Need help please s4 softbrick after build.prop edit

Hey guys I really need some help
Yesterday I ran across a site on android pit on how to make the quick menu look like the s5 which involved modifying the build.prop
and decided to try the first post which involved editing the build.prop. I made a backup of the original and have that on my external sd card. I didn't like the mod so I copied the original one over the one I edited and now my phone won't boot. I've tried using odin but it fails everytime. I saw how to fix it with adb but the problem is when I boot into recovery mode I get 4 lines of red text
E:failed to mount /system (Invalid argument)
# MANUAL MODE #
E:failed to mount /system (Invalid argument)
can't mount '/system (Invalid argument)
E:failed to mount /system (Invalid argument
Luckily I backed up my phone night before last so all I'll lose is a days worth of texts. I really could use some help been really stressed out about. Is there a way I can get the internal storage to show up on my computer so I can just overwrite the corrupted one? please help!
Thanks in advance!
P.S. I can get into download and recovery mode with no issues
What ROM are you using? Is it on your sdcard/extsdcard? If you can get into recovery you should be able to dirty flash your ROM on top of it. It will replace the file. If it still doesnt work and Since you have a backup of your phone you should be able to wipe data/factory reset. Then once it boots up go back to recovery and flash your nandroid backup.
I was on stock 4.4.2?(whatever the most recent version is) NI1 that I had just flashed the NC1 the other day to enable towelroot and then flashed the NI1 kernel back and it was fine. It's not a nandroid backup, I had just copied the entire phone to a folder on my computer. Only issue is if it's not seeing the /system folder how would I copy over? and what do I need to flash a stock rom over my phone? I tried doing a factory wipe/reset but it didn't work
thanks again for your help

In the future always make a nandroid backup before you mess with build prop and other system files. At this point you'll have to use Odin

Did you make efs backup in twrp before start flashing stuff ?
Seems like you efs partition is screwed up if you have made efs backup then restore it.
If not then i suggest you take device to repair centre cuz to flash new efs you will require a box like octopus or z3x. Odin or twrp is not gonna do the job.

E: Could not mount /data and unable to find crypto footer

HI everyone
I bought a grand prime SM-G530H from Mexico apparently stucked at boot logo. Thought that was only just a bad firmware-update but.....everytime that I try to flash any cROM it can not mount any partition and internal storage size marks "0Mb" in TWRP.
I can enter to Download Mode, Recovery, even flash every stock Rom(different Odin versions) with xxu baseband but it is impossible for the device to mount or wipe any partition.
Is the motherboard fully-bricked??
Can I change mount points with any command??
Should I throw it to recycling truck?

Tell me if my english sucks
I will answer myself and wait for an admin. to delete this unuseful thread......
I just installed TWRP over 5.0.2 stock firmware and do a f**ckn FORMAT DATA in "Wipe Section"; not wipe, but, Format.
Sorry for this noob
No problem. Thanks to your self-answered question I've solved my problem too. Thanks!

Help in rooting G935W8 Oreo 8.0.0

Hello;
I wanted to root my G935W8 Oreo 8.0.0, i already flashed TWRP 3.2.3 with ODIN v3.13.1.
The problem is when i'm on recovery mode and i use TWRP in order to install zip it shows me that internal storage is 0 MB
And when i choose Micro SD card to install Magisk-v19.zip and i confirm flash, it shows me in red:
could not mount /data and unable to find cryptofooter.
failed to mount '/data' (invalid argument)
unable to recreate /data/media folder.
unable to mount /data/media/twrp/.twrp.
Can anyone help me to root it.
Thanks.

I know it's a bit late to write to you, but now I got the same phone. The same thing happened to me and I discovered a solution and it is the following: download the latest twrp then the patched version of Odin, it can be version 3.13 or 3.14 which is the final one. Once you have all that in Odin disable the automatic reboot option in (ap) put the twrp.md5.tar, then put the phone in download mode and install it. Once installed, press the power button and volume down for a few seconds until the phone turns off. Now enter the recovery, then go to the format option and write (yes) so that all the information is erased and ready, you can see the internal memory. The only bad thing that I found is that the original system is not Root since the system is damaged, so you have to install the Floyd s7 version 5 rom. It is the most stable version and has Android 10, and you have to root it install later. If you install this rom there are some patches that are to record in 4k at 60 frames and have ar-sticker.
