SPTool default is "Download Only", so all you do is open SPTool, select the scatter and hit the "Download" button

Hello,
trying to flash this on my No1 D5, but when the watch shuts down and the download progress begins, I receive an error "PMT changed for the rom; it must be downloaded". Am I doing something wrong?

Try it with the scatter file attached to this post. Also try flashing only the system, boot, and recovery partitions.

I tried the new scatter file, and I also created my own scatter file through MTK Droidtool, I get the same error. I also unticked everything, and tried flashing on BOOTIMG, RECOVERY and ANDROID and I get the exact same error.

Right, so it may have been a wrong version of SP Flash tools. I was using version 5.1524.00.000 and I kept getting that error message. I downloaded version 5.1352.01 and it appears to be flashing fine. I am using the second scatter file.

Didn't think about folks using older versions of SPTool. Seeing that was the case, then the scatter I uploaded is irrelevant.

Following all the carfuffle with SPTools, the firmware was finally flashed succesfully. Haven't played with it yet apart from hooking up to WiFi. First impression is the Weather DOES work!!! It downloaded the weather for my location within 5 seconds. I will continue playing tomorrow and post back feedback.

****! The whole week waiting for this and now I'm traveling without a PC... ?

It's for ALL W812a smartwatches. This includes the No.1 D5, K8 Mini, X1 and any others. You can edit the existing APN but not create a new one.

@Lokifish Marz
Thanks for your work!
Do you plan to add option DT2W (double tap to wakeup) ?

Hi, seems very interesting.
Got 2 questions however 2 things hold me from flashing atm:
Can you write a short how to backup and get back to original (incase of warranty issues)
Did you solve the problem with wifi mac address changes (maybe it is me who just didn't see it in your list of enhancements)
Weather is working fine here on D5..

I've tried over a dozen DT2W solutions, not a single one of them work. So the chances of that is pretty slim.

Back to stock is a SPTools flash of firmware which has been covered in the respective device threads.
I have not implemented a mac address fix as of yet, wanted to make sure the base is good before I start serious digging.
Your weather is working on stock D5 firmware? I'm surprised. I've repeatedly had it fail after 30mins straight of trying over BT. Even tried it over cellular with the same results. Flashed the Mini firmware and it updates in less than a minute consistently, flash back to D5 and nothing.

[Q] Problem updating Lenovo Yoga 2 10"

Hey there
Today I got a message that I could update my Yoga 2 Tablet via the System Updater, but it doesn't quite work.
First of all about the device:
Lenovo Yoga 2 Tablet 1050F
Running current version: YT-1050F_USR_S0000198_1504220313_WW21_ROW
New version I wanna update to: YT2-1050F_USR_S1000031_1506111400_WW52_ROW
The problem:
I can download the update and when I press the install button, the tablet reboots into recovery mode. The update process begins and reaches 100% pretty quickly. After some time, it says the update failed though.
What I tried so far:
Downloading and updating again, it didn't work.
Download and starting the update on my PC with Lenovo Smart Assistant, didn't work.
Change the country code with the easyimage.zip file and the ####6020# code. I changed it to de (which is my usual country code) and us, but both did not help with the software update.
So... I really do not have any knowledge about android and can't seem to find another clue what to do next. Maybe someone of you can help me with this issue.

I posted the same issue already within the root thread. My device is rooted and after the download it started to upgrade and after reaching 100% it says it failed. I even did a factory reset - but SuperSu stays present and no upgrade is possible. I do not want to flash it via flashify - as bricking might be possible with that methode.
Maybe anyone has an idea how to proceed!?
Thanks for the reply.
I forgot to mention, my tablet isn't rooted and I tried a factory reset aswell, but nothing worked.
/E: So if anyone has the same problem: The solution is to flash the tablet to stack rom with PhoneFlashTool and update it afterwards. No problems since.
I flashed to stock rom downloaded from Russian Site with Phoneflashtool and tried to update. Update went to 100% then "failed". Any ideas anyone?

You missed presumably one important step after flashing the original rom, changing the country code prior OTA - which was posted already in another thread:
If system update fails do the following:
1. Flash stock firmware
2. Optionally you can wipe user data (I never did that) from DROIDBOOT
3. Go to contacts manager. Create some dummy contact if list is empty.
4. Go to Search / Find Contacts and enter ####6020#. It will ask you to select country code (first two latin letters, ignore Chinese).
5. Select what you want, then reboot.
6. Go to System Update
7. Install OTA update
Thanks. Will give that a go.
/E After the above it now tells me that I already have the latest version at YT2-1050F_USR-S000198_1504220313_WW21_ROW and that there is no update. Surely they have not taken the update offline??!
/EE I used the Update.zip I had previously downloaded (when the update first failed).
Placed this on the SD card and installed it via the update tools.
Thank you for those who helped me
Is there any chance You can upload this update.zip file? Thanks

Hi people, new guy here. I got redirected by some friendly dude.
Anyway, I apparantly have the same problem. Device has never been rooted. Tried the update as is, tried after a factory reset, tried #### contact hocus pocus, did not try anything involving a PC since I don't have one with that still has Windows and I can't seem to figure out Wine dependencies on my Debian box.
So, yeah, I guess I'll call the 1 euro a minute Lenovo support desk now.
Anyway, thanks for having me, I'm subscribed to the thread . If I find out something before you guys do I'll let you know, but by all means don't stay up for it.

I run Arch on all my machines. I was able to use my virtualbox windoze 8.1 (It came on my laptop but never booted it... ) vm to use the intelphonetool. I flashed this stock rom here and then took the ota lollipop update. If you want to root this works in Linux.

Stuck on bios after FAILED Lollipop to Kitkat downgrade?
Repair Lollipop to KitKat bios error
1) Get the firmware kitkat-YT2-1050F_S0198_150422_ROW.7z - https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=24052804347778640
2) Extract the firmware on PC
3) Download LtoKKxml.7z - https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=24052804347783496
4) Extract or copy the content of this zip to where you extracted the firmware, so that the flash_*.xml are located next to all the image files of the firmware
5) Edit the file flash-LtoKK_PVT_810.xml and remove the the "command" tags which contain "format data" and "erase data" (the XML tag from <command> to </command>)
6) Reboot your tablet into fastboot mode (hold power up, down and power buttons)and use PhoneFlashTool to flash this flash-LtoKK_PVT_810.xml
7) Wait for it to finish and when the tablet restarts make sure it goes back to fastboot. If not then power off and restart into fastboot
8) Flash the flash.xml which is located in the folder. This will flash all the KitKat firmware components. That's it.
Be careful if you do something wrong then a brick is very likely. Hope this helps

Some info, probably well known, but have a question about it.
Hi,
I found a folder 'lenovoota' om my tablet. It contains a file called YT2-1050F_USR_S000198_1504220313_WW21_ROW_TO_YT2-1050F_USR_S100067_1507101258_WW52_ROW.zip
and one called packages.xml.
Both can't be opened / are corrupt. 0 bytes each.
So, correct me if I'm wrong, the update fails at download already, right? Would it be of any use to get these two files somewhere and replace the corrupted ones, then trigger the updating process again? Or is that a bit optimistic?
Thanks.
I'm a bit reluctant about the instructions above btw. I know what's what, but, you know, *very* old machine running debian, not sure how VM would perform. Apart from that I am certainly going to be overly focussed on getting the details right and brick my tablet by forgetting a whole major step or something. THanks anyway, though, appreciate the effort.

Yes, it shows as 0 bytes when it fails.
I captured the OTA file from the 1050F. It is usable only on a non-rooted stock device and those devices should take the OTA successfully anyway... But it had the files I needed to repair the bios error from trying to downgrade from Lollipop to KitKat.
And I feel your pain with using a VM. My laptop is pretty new and I have my OEM copy of Windows on an external SSD so it works good enough.
I tried to port the Linux version of the Intel Phone Tool to Arch and it fails because of Ubuntu specific depens. You could certainly try it. If you get it installed and it see's your tablet you should be good. Let me know if it works.

Hi there
So, im here because i got problem with my Yoga 2 10" 1050L
Well, i was trying to update my Yoga to 5.0.1 but my tablet says that there is no update.
I was tryin to use Lenovo Smart Assistant - same, no update.
Then i do hard reset (power button + vol+), fresh install, and... kitkat do not recognize any new updates to lollipop.
Then i contact with Lenovo Poland, they was tryin to turn on update from servers for my device - nothing happens.
I got 2 devices, both from Poland, second one (i got two same Yogas, both 1050L) is running 5.0.1 without any problems (it update itself instantly after 1st boot).
So, what can i do now?! Is it any possibilities to get update *.zip file from anywhere, to do it manualy from settings menu in tablet?
Sorry for my bad english, its still not my main )

Lenovo Yoga 2 1050L firmware needed / Error when installing the latest update

Hi guys,
I hope anybody can help me. I'm looking for the latest firmware for my yoga tablet 2 1050L.
It should be YT2-1050L_USR_S100255_1601131716_WW52_ROW. At least that is what the OTA message shows me on my tablet.
After softbricking my tablet (was stuck in lenovo boot logo) when I installed this OTA update (162MB), I was able to recover it with firmware S100192. I checked also for country code and set it new. When I now try to install the OTA update I get an error and can only boot the tablet again and it wants me again to update to the S100255 firmware.
I also looked in the russion lenovo forum (you can translate with google into englsh or my case geman)
http://lenovo-forums.ru/forum/395-yoga-tablet-2-10-%D0%BF%D1%80%D0%BE%D1%88%D0%B8%D0%B2%D0%BA%D0%B8/
But there is the latest firmware I can download S100192.
So I would need either the S100255 firmware to flash it from stock or anybody can give me an hint in how to solve the udpate error

Hi ionioni,
ok. what do you mean exactly? I don't want to skip it. I want to update it but it's showing error while the update process. and then when I am in Android again it wants me again to update to S100255. So I thought I could flash it with the latest stock rom S100255.
At the moment I try to flash an older stock rom like S100081 or S100225 (and then doing OTA hopefully) but whenever I try to flash it it boots into Android again when it should

I will try to flash tomorrow than and hope it works. DnX mode is booting with both volume buttons into fastboot, right?

Ok, now I was finally (!) able to flash it and to boot it into android. Strange issue when I extracted your zip file on my HDDs on my company's notebook I got a zip CRC error. I unzipped it now directly on my USB drive (connected to my company laptop) to my external HDD and I had no issues. Only the devil knows why...???!
So after using your phone flash tool lite version 5.3.4.1 it worked now. I'm just downloading now the next OTA update over WLAN to version S100192. after that version S100255 should appear. let's see what happens Thank you so far.

no don't think it's EOL as it was on both my harddisks and I have no problems with other files. Don't bother anymore.
Good news: was able to flash and update it OTA to the current Firmware S100256 (14MB) which has been released as there may have been some bugs to the S100255. and it works! Thank you very much! :silly::silly::good::good::good:

Maybe this can help you:
Make sure you use the latest Phone Flash tool (lite) which was 5.3.4.1 for me. Make sure you use a USB port at your laptop PC, don't use a hub (did not work for me). And If you are not able to flash it via the DnX mode (press both Volumen buttons and power on the tab) then try using the Fastboot mode in the bootloader (volume down and power on the tab).

Hi ionioni,
I'm back with a further problem. I just tried to start teamviewer on the yoga. I get an error that the firmware may be faulty and I should check for a proper IMEI. So I put in a SIM card (which I have used in anther phone) and I'm able to unlock it with the pin. But I get no data connection and also when I try to set a new PIN for the SIM card in the security settings I enter the PIN and it says wrong PIN I have 3 more trys. but I can try it as often as I want, it does not lock the SIM card.
So what may be the problem? any ideas?
UPDATE: Ok, just checked my IMEI online and it appears to be an IPHONE IMEI??
Update 2: Under settings, network, more, mobile connection (? just know the german word for the settings) I can not choose the menu as it is deactivated and grey. I just read that the tablet may think it is in flight mode?

I Made A Terrible Mistake!

Hello there!
So, I'm using Zenfone 5 (2G) Running on Official Lolipop
I had my phone bootlooped back in that time, then I flashed a wrong recovery version, it was KitKat version that I flashed, I got into Recovery Mode.
I tried to sideload update packages (both KitKat and Lolipop ROM) and it showed me some error like can't mount /cache (invalid arguments), I expected this as losing partition (If I'm not wrong)
And now I can't even get into droidboot at all, here is the responds from following things I do :
Recovery button combination : Works (Gets to the recovery)
Power button : Shows USB logo
Droidboot button combination : Shows manufacturer logo forever (Stuck)
But, as I said, I tried to sideload the packs and it fails...
Could someone help me? Maybe some easy way to fix this? For a note, I tried bunch of tutorials to fix my device, the last one was xFSTK thing.. I followed every single step correctly and ended up with an error.
Thanks before

Try this:
Download a flashable custom rom, put the rom *.zip file in the same folder with ADB.
Go into recovery TWRP, connect your phone to your computer.
Push rom *.zip file to your phone's internal storage with this command in ADB:
push [file.zip] /sdcard/.
Then flash that rom file with TWRP.
Well, sir, how can I get into TWRP? I can't even droidboot... My recovery that I flashed was stock
deleted.

Basicly the procedure to debrick is same. You need to load bootloader temporary since you have a broken droidboot including your partition. I already have same problem with you before.
Yeah its different, you cant use ww to fix this. Find on official zentalk tw forum for complete detail. Shakalaca post that.

Thanks a lot!
Anyway, I've got few questions left..
Yesterday, I did download zip files from this debrick thread (Should be familiar with you) http://forum.xda-developers.com/zenfone-5/help/debrick-asus-zenfoen-5-fastboot-t3377455
My question is, does this work the same as your files? And, could I do something about it? Like re-use by recycle again the files I've downloaded with something that might help my phone? You know.. 900 MB is not something very small for me.. And maybe I could download separated files that is required.. And make the use of Debrick files I downloaded?
And.. May I have the link of Shakalaca's post, if you don't mind? Thanks a lot, like a lot!

Hey um, I followed the Debrick one. The problem comes when I ran Debrick.dat, from the Cloverview mode (Press vol down and connect to pc). While the Debrick program runs, the phone "boots". Shows up USB logo and it goes red. Few seconds after then, the program closes, leaves the phone on red USB logo. Is this something normal?
Btw that link can't help.

Didn't you try reboot from bootloader. If it solves, it means normal. You must thank to intel for this problem.

This happened with my Asus Zenfone 5 (T00j). Tried every solution available on net without sucess, finally took it to Service Center and they had to replace the motherboard

This works to get you back to stock from bootloop. I tried my hand at rooting this little SOB (TWRP,Magisk) and tripped the Knox counter bc I forgot to wipe it. Reboot came up with "Validation Failure" and I was stuck. I stumbled over this post and with nothing to lose other than $130.
First piece of advice...Use Odin 3.12.3 ONLY!! I tried the latest version and it didn't work. Download the files, place them in the appropriate boxes and flash. reboot into recovery, wipe the cache/data and you should be good. Mine took quite a while after hanging on the Boost mobile splash screen, but about 3 reboots later, it brought me to the configuration screen. It's up, running and I even got the OTA software update, but then again, it is stock.

New Firmware QI5 released 10/11/2017...still lists August 1 Security Update

551 meg update, It says it's a security update, but it's a little bigger than the typical security-only update. Oddly, the device info still shows August 1 security level but the kernel is dated September 18th.
According to Sammobile, this is a limited update to fix the BlueBorne vulnerability. More info at https://www.sammobile.com/2017/09/27/blueborne-fix-galaxy-note-4-galaxy-j3-2017-galaxy-s5-plus-galaxy-tab-s3-released/
Note, the links to firmware in this article are not for the Sprint version.
Do you have a link to the Sprint version?
Hello,

Same thing here. But I also restored TWRP backup with previous firmware - and got a boot loop. Tried many firmwares, even stock 6.0.1 (just removed aboot from tar and load all else), but phone still rebooting after about 45-60 seconds from power up. Android may boot, show desktop, wifi networks - all seems to be ok, but it WILL reboot after short time from power on (in TWRP reboots not occur)... Probably because I now have previous modem + new aboot...
Could you please make a TWRP backup of your current firmware (boot, modem, system at least, or better anything exclude cache and data), and please-please share it?

I have one idea - but I really not sure that it will work.
As I wroted in previous post, I haved same situation - OTA and after it Odin don't want to update firmware because aboot version fail. I've loaded all other files from stock tar - system.ext4 needs to be edited with winhex to change version from 3 to 4 - and after that odin loads it. But I don't have found how to change version from aboot to override version check.
But, if we have TWRP, we can copy aboot to micro SD, and in TWRP do something like
dd if=/external_sd/aboot.mbl of=/dev/block/<partition name for aboot>
This will overwrite aboot in phone memory, and IF all will be good - you will have state like before OTA. But, if something goes wrong, OR if Samsung stores, let's say, md5 of aboot in some other region of memory and check if before every phone booting - we will have a brick that probably can't be updated with odin anymore...
Ran into same problem. The only way I found to get a somewhat factory setup was...
Be rooted and from there use flashfire to flash the previous firmware. It won't install the aboot and the modem if you don't want. I was left with almost factory state. Everything is on QI5 firmware but the actually "system" partition. You can't take an ota. System shows custom. Recovery shows dm-verity fails. Other than that everything seems to be fine.
I tried Kies and smart switch as well to get the firmware.
Hopefully sammobile or updato will get the current update soon.

I have slow Internet connection, I could only share the boot and the modem if you want, system is too big.
Thanks,

In WinHex, please go to 0x00000080A, in right text panel you'll see "SERPTRUS003". I've changed it to SERPTRUS004 (0x00000080A change from 33 to 34) - and this works for me. No more SW version error, and I able to load this image with Odin.
But I can't do same with aboot

Thanks a lot!
I able to restore boot, but unable to restore modem - TWRP wants firmware.win backup also, but I don't have it.
Could you share it, please?

Thanks.
I've tried it - but have same picture - phone vibrates and reboots after some time. I tried many ROMs, Lineage, for example, starts fast enough to show android desktop - it looks like ROM itself booted normally, but after some time (about 45-60 seconds) phone will vibrate and reboot...
Can this be because of some problems with EFS partition? How to you think? Could you please share it also? Actually, EFS and aboot - only two things that can be blamed... I tried to change all else - but symptoms is not changing.

So weird!
My friend's phone has exactly the same symptoms, whenever he tries to install an ota update, his photo boot up then as you described, vibrates the restart, the only build that works is PC1!
Now he is on QI5 boot loader and modem and PC1 rom, other roms don't work! they vibrate then restart!
If you find fix please share it.
Could you check under the battery what is version do you have, ex. 14.10 or 14.11,..?

Of couse I'll share solution, if I'll able to find one. But for now I'am stuck... Tried many roms - but behaviour same on stock 6.0.1 and on Lineage OS...
I have 910P camouflaged to 910F, under battery I don't see 14.0/14.1 or some looks like to it. Model under battery is SM-N910F, I can see 910P only in Odin load mode.
Do you have stock recovery from QI5??

Guys, I've found solution.
Here is odin-flasheable QI5 firmware!
https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B1blPsoKK5taRk5SZ3NwdmUtTzA
Please note, if you'll load it, you CAN'T downgrade! This will update aboot to version 5.
So, load it only if you know what are you doing!
This helps me with reboots issue, so now I'am able to load custom ROMs, and they at least don't reboot every 70 seconds.
Celluar part, data over celluar modem - don't tested yet.
