Hi, everybody.
I recently got an LG G Pad 8.3 as a present and, instead of retiring or giving away my Nexus 10 I decided to give it a second life as an emulator machine.
I bought an iCade Core, downloaded Mame4Droid and... nothing. I can't pair the iCade with any of my Android devices (LG G Pad, LG G2 or Nexus 10). It asks for the pairing code but it's not recognised (every button in the iCade is supposed to be a number while you are pairing).
When I try to pair with my wife's iPad Air or my son's iPad 2 it works flawlessly (it doesn't ask for any code, 'though).
I'm currently on 4.3. I read somewhere that 4.2.2 broke Bluetooth for certain devices, and was ready to try a downgrade to 4.1.2, but then I remembered that the N10 shipped after that
Has anybody had any luck trying to make the iCade work? I don't mind having to flash whatever firmware, since I've everything up and running in the new tablet. I'm willing to go to 4.4, 4.4.2, back to 4.2.2... But I'd prefer to know in advance if there is any solution.
I've read people having success with an app called Bluez IME, but I keep getting a "bt connet socket error" or something like that.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!
Edit: Nevermind. After days of trying without success, I followed the instructions in this thread for the Nth time and it worked!
Hello, I have bought mk908ii android tv stick and I would like to stream display from my phone to this stick. Stick has app called wifi display. When I connect with phone using screen mirroring everything looks ok, but stick not display screen from phone. I read that samsung can be connected only with samsung device.
Is there some way or alternative how to share screen? For example with root. I never rooted my device, but I would do it for if that helps.
thank you and sorry for bad English
Just bought a brand new LG TV (55LA8600) that supports miracast. I am on Phoenix Rom v7.3, rooted, Philz recovery but stock kernel. I can see the LG TV under screen mirroring and the TV can see my S4. However, when i try to connect it seems to try to connect but then fail after say 10-15 seconds. I thought miracast was a standard protocol and so my S4 should work with the LG TV but guess its not that easy. I have read and some people say the ability to connect depends on whether its rooted, custom rom, custom status, hdcp off, etc but so far found no clear anwser.
So just wondering whether anyone got the S4's screen mirroring to work with non-Samsung TV/devices. If so, what did you do??? Also do i need to install Samsung Link (formerly Allshare)????
Looks like i answered my own question. Confirmed s4 can miracast with screen mirror to lg tv! If rooted look for sorg's post!

PS:Maybe in some country is activated and on onther no and I nust actvated with a sort of sub-menu?The on screen I think to have inderstud is just to connect by wifi/Bluetooth with the pc monitor :/
Hello smart minds of xda, I've just gotten a Neo model from the s5 series. And was trying to get the functionality to work for mirroring or miracasting the screen to a wireless HDMI receiver.
With a four year old android tablet and different other old android phones I have this option with no problem.
But with the brand new Neo, it doesn't appear in the settings. Also with help with different tools/apps I couldn't get it to work.
Does somebody got Miracast / Screen mirror working on a Neo s5 phone? And if so, what were the steps you took to get it working? Maybe a particular update or tool/app which has to be installed?
I hope somebody has an answer for this, I think a lot of people are dissapointed to have this standard functionality missing on their new phone....
Thank you if somebody can help us out!
