What about A501?

Hello all, community. I'm writing here since, as far as I know, there's no custom 3.1/3.2 rom yet. Having bought my A501 on saturday, I'd love to get an update since I read that 3.1 won't come for my Iconia, and 3.2 will be ready sometimes between Q3 and Q4. So, exactly, what the community would need to start working on an A501 3.1 rom? What can I provide to help some willing dev in cooking one?

Unfortunately I have not such an experience in testing, but if instructed I think I could walk my way through
So if a dev shows up maybe we could start thinking about these things together.

No worries, I was able to translate it just as easily. I just thought I'd point it out. I know english isn't everyone's primary language, but it does help the big picture if we stick to one language.
I unfortunately don't know enough yet to be of any help, especially since I just got my A500 a couple days ago.

Well... My A501 is sitting near to me. I just don't have a clue about what might and might not be useful, so I'd need some direction to know what I should provide.

here's another one with an A501 and the wish for an 3.1. update. Due to my Acer liquid with LCR 2.0 I'm skilled in pimping acer devices, but I need a ROM for that

Just a stupid question. Have you guys actually tried any of the A500 roms? There are plenty with 3.1 and one with 3.2. And if it fails, you could always restore a backup WITH CWM recovery.

Using an A500 rom will break the bultin 3G module, that's the only difference between the two models
Basically building an A501 rom should be the same process, given the different source rom.

I'm using now virtuous galaxy for me its the best of customs from a500 .But its not so nice when I need mobile network ...

Yep, proceed exactly as found in the dev´s forum (from XDA obviously). I highly recommend the full BELL 2.3.4 Atrix over the leaked Orange France. Been using it from a while and everything is just fine.
Look for Bell Atrix 2.3.4 Gobstopper, from NFHimself. Good luck!

i used the tutorials in here, used a zip file for flashing to the att 4.5.91 with 2.3.4 , but i get no webtop option in the popup, any ideas?
(entertainment center works fine if i select it)
and i got no errors during flashing the zip file

Any update on this i have the same problem i can install the webtop by moto-fastboot but when i connect the cellphone to the dock it did not show the popup asking me for webtop or multimedia center i have only put as a clock option

[Q] [Important] Flash stock rom on Lg L7 without kdz?

I must send my lg on warrancy because the micro usb connector is damaged.
I', currently on a custom rom stock based, and i need a method to flash the original firmware V20D (i'm italian) and relock bootloader without the use of pc. Can i flash maybe using some apps on phone or the recovery?
I need a big help guys :/

"maybe" flashing a Stock .zip ( all .zip on the web taht i have found is rooted ) ..... and PRAY !!! that official OTA update work ! if this OTA option is not "broken" and if it purpose updates too ! ( for updates ,it's by wifi !!! lots of data ! ) ..........
in theory ,thes OTA updates clean all personalisations of the phone ! go back to factory config ...:good:
And for the zip ,it's hard to find a good...

no ....this V10K is "europe" .......and as i say it's difficult ( impossible ) to find a .zip without lots of changes ...

hi, if you have cwm you can restore a nandroid backup(if you have) else ask some to upload his backup sorry but i have an L5
to remove cwm and restore the firmware you need a pc to use kdz to flash

la lg ha detto che la garanzia non decade se abbiamo il root, glielo ho chiesto anche personalmente e me lo hanno confermato
e mi hanno spiegato meglio dicendomi che se io rootto il telefono loro ovviamente non si rendono responsabili di problemi software o perdite di dati ma la garanzia hardware rimane per 2 anni dall aquisto salvo danni causati dal utente, laa batteria e le cuffie sono escluse e durano 3 e 6 mesi se non ho capito male

lg accect them to help developper and it is the only one i think
however lg promise that it will release a code to unlock bootloader without hacking,but it never happened at today ):
how did you damaged your usb??
a my friend has got the same problem it leave it at lg after more than 1 months it return at his home,but now sometimes the pc not find the phone and when he put it at recharge(ricarcarsi)it said "caricamento lento" as an usb

i dont know about it, it is very difficult to port a firmware form .kdz in a flashable .zip

You could repair it yourself, the part is cheap on eBay and you can probably find an instructional video with a bit of googling.
I've replaced micro USB ports on a few phones in the past and it's easier than you may think, just be gentle.
Of course this will void your warranty though.

I need latest microwear l5 firmware.. I tried contacting microwear through [email protected].. But they don't reply, it has been more than aa month.. No update coming through Fundo Pro app.. Please someone give me the firmware if you can.

Solución al error de actualización del firmware del MicroWear L5
Si te dio error al actualizar el firmware desde el fundo, instala nrf connect ejecuta y busca el dispositivo dfutarg, pulsa en Connect y luego la opción dfu, software packet Zip, busca en tu móvil en la memoria interna la carpeta fundo\frw y verás un archivo fundo.zip y enviar, a esperar y suerte.

Hi etimarques,
The latest firmware is v0.1.2 now. If you install the newest FunDo Pro app from Google Play, you can look for the newest firmware from this app and install it. It stores in the Fundo.zip file, what is mentioned above.
I don't know, whether in your case the titles in the smart watch for every page appear in English or Chinese. I had v0.0.6 firmware when I've bought it, and that time the titles appeared in English. After upgrading the firmware, they became Chinese. Update only if this is fine for you.
P.S.: If you have the v0.0.6 firmware, and the titles are English, could you upload your firmware? I would prefer those titles in English.

Hi all,
Not sure if i'm too late on this.
When I first got my L5 9-12months ago or so, it came with 0.0.6 and I got about 6weeks of use for the first three charges.
I updated to 0.1.2 (later to 0.1.3) but I can still consistently only get about a week from a charge now.
I highly doubt this is battery related, as it came exactly as I updated -and after a few months of use prior.
Can anyone PM me the original firmware 0.0.6 if they still have it, or a link to where I can find it pls?
I'm seeing a lot of "i have it", so I'm hoping someone still does.
I'd just like to rule the firmware out of the equation.

For a few days after doing a hard reset, the operating system does not open any Google apps, including the Google Play Store.
I have tried several times to reset everything, but nothing. Where can I find an MCU or firmware update?
