Lava iris x5 has the exact same hardware (except for the selfie cam) as iris 504q, and that comes with Kitkat, can any porter port it to our device???
Please i am dying for a stock pure kitkat experience for our device!!!!
It's chipset is different so we can't port..
Ok fine that's got a videocore, but what about some lenovo phones which have exact same specs as our phone, they have kitkat, why cant the porters port that to ours?
We don't have kernel source code for our device.. and for kitkat to boot we need kitkat boot.img and modules(Kernel), which can only be made when we get source code.. [emoji13]

I'm a noob, forgive me if I'm asking all the wrong stuff. Won't we get the kernel source anywhere ? and there is a CM 11 kitkat for wiko and Mr. @kashifmin has ported it to micromax canvas HD ... so my question is how could he do that ? Also people in the wiko thread mentioned that the CM 11 rom for wiko worked without any modifications for Canvas HD, as it's a clone of wiko, which is also a mtk6589 device. I tried to search similar devices with same specifications as Lava Iris 504q, but I couldn't find any.
I tried to port the CM11 to our device using android Kitchen and it was a failure, which is obvious.

Currently I am using micromax a120 (8gb) and recently I saw some cool custom ROM for this devices but every of them need wiko base ROM so I flash wiko rainbow v13 ROM via so flash tool
And now installed custom recovery philz which is working fine but main problem is :-
I choose lollipop 5.1.1 ROM to flash but after clearing everything when I try to flash the ROM then its show up that
Installation aborted :
This ROM is for device: rainbow and this is a120
So.. I try to flash xosp ROM 6.1 but also that showing same error so help me anyone who have a120 and using custom ROMs which need a base of wiko rainbow v13 firmware !

Then it's simple, you haven't flashed wiko base. Google Wiko Rainbow V13 stock ROM and flash it properly.

I have micromax a120 8gb c2c and I haven't installed any custom Rom till date.Suggest me a stable rom. My preference would be
1.More battery backup than stock kitkat
2.More app storage than stock kitkat and
if possible otg support.
[suggest the rom even it is a kitkat based]
I would suggest you to try CM12.1 or the latest CM13 build

If you are on any lollipop or M based ROM, you can flash any lollipop or M based ROMs.

Try MIUI 8 Latest Updated . It's a Good Lollipop Rom
