I owned the seidio clip holster for my Kaiser and loved it!! Very sturdy and comfortable. Will definitely be ordering one for my Rafael.
Have the hybrid case for the Kaiser. It still is a top-notch case (once Seidio gets their head out of their ass about their online support).
Just got the Innocase and it's much much better quality than the other Amazon one.
Another truly excellent case after the hybrid Seidio case on the Kaiser.
First 3 pictures are of Innocase
4th is with Amazon's case's top with thick borders around the screen
5th is comparison of these "Touch" screen border thickness.
Macro-mode for those that haven't figured it out in the Youtube videos. Yes, Amazon's case has its rubberization already peeling before I took it out of its shipping packet.

Very illuminating photos - thank-you!
Was "reasonably certain" that would not find using the Touch Screen with a FINGER all that attractive - after all, have hardly ever used my Axim without the Stylus.
But in actual practice find that it IS often convenient to simply swipe a finger at the screen, and so your comments about the relative Screen Border Thickness - and hence the possibility of interference with finger-contact near the edges of the screen - are very interesting.
Still, $30 seems a lot for small hunk of plastic....

As illustrated, the Seidio case is thin (on width) around the screen leaving plenty of space for finger-gestures. Hitting X and menus at bottom is no problem. The Amazon case felt like it was a 8525 again.
There's also velvet in the case back so it doesn't scratch the OEM smooth back. This raises the back a few mm above the original diamond plate, but with the speaker hole, it's all around good protection.
For $30, Seidio tends to be the first and last case you'll ever get because it's a perfect fit, and solid at protection and surviving drops. Only reason to switch to another case is they come out with some other fancy idea such as a hybrid rubber-crystal case + holster, or other colors. I would go for a white case.
I paid $8 (total) for the Amazon case and you can see what I got. Horribly fitting, messes with the slider, rubberization peeling before it came out of the bag. $30 isn't that bad especially since I'm still very happy with the hybrid-case I got for my Kaiser last year.
edit:
whatever case you guys end up getting, I have to say my FUZE is a much more pleasant beast now that the cold, slimy feeling is gone.
the amazon case you purchased is not a good example of the other options out there. I am not saying anything negative about the Seido case. I have seen it personally and it is a nice case, but the one on Ebay that many are buying is also pretty nice, and no issues with the pealing your pictures showed. The employees in my company have 6 Fuze phones and no one has had any issues like that. The biggest illusion with the phone shown at http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=459761 is that the border is white and not black like the rest of the case.
The $30 cost is the main objection, but in general Seido makes quality cases.
Overall it is very positive that there are multiple options now available and more coming each day.
does this one interfere with teh screen as reported on the other amazon/ebay one? something about the inside of the upper left corner pressing down on the screen makes one unable to use the screen after having the case on for a few days... the only way to resolve this with the other one is to file down the inside of the plastic part that touches the screen...

I'm interested in the answer to this question too. My initial attempt at sanding down my rubberized ebay case was not successful, my phone still locked up after a couple of days.
Fuze innocase owners, are you lockup free after days of operation?

Just because you're happy with the work you put into fixing your Ebay case does not mean you should troll other case threads to protect your investment and mind-share about it. Also stating that I'm not a Seidio apologist since I haven't had the greatest shipping experience last time around, and their CS/managers lying back-and-forth about it.
Lock-ups? Are you seriously kidding? That's a red-flag for me right there. Even the Amazon case doesn't have that problem.
The Innocase is a perfect fit with no modifications necessary. That's what paying a slight premium gets you. Costs less than getting the Expansys Touch Pro back too.
It's like paying for the unlocked version of the phone. No crapware, loads of accessories, and special attention to details the cut-rate version doesn't have.
I've noticed the Ebay case has a huge clip tab right next to the volume-up button. The Seidio case clips seem to be more thoughtfully placed, and smaller, thinner. In fact, the bottom case has a cut-out curve around the volume/PTT buttons also that helps the case stay out of the way.
Thank you for you info, and no trolling (that made me laugh) intended. I have the ebay case AND have ordered the Seido case, which we were waiting for. Thanks again.

I've had the case, belt clip and charger for a few days. Overall, I'm very happy with the products, and would purchase Seidio equipment again in the future. I've had a few different cases for my old 8525, and I like this one for my Fuze the best.
I love the case. It's not bulky, and has a good feel to it. I wasn't sure about the clips that hold the case to the phone, because they looked fragile...but it holds very nicely.
The belt clip for the case is fine. Seems to hold the phone and case in very well, and the belt clip will not slip off any belt I've tried it on.
The charger...I'm not happy with it. That's my fault not Seidio's, I didn't read the description of the charger. I'm sure it's a quality product. It is a small dock type charger, but comes with a cable with two large USB connections on it. So it can be docked when plugged into a computer's USB. I thought it would have a connection to plug into a wall outlet.
Just bought the combo pack, Will post pics when it arrives.
Just wondering if this case will fit the Bell / CDMA version, is it a rubber type compound, as well does the case scratch the phone in any way?
Thanks
Some questions?
For ppl that have the combo case/holster. Can you put the phone with the case on it, in the holster with screen facing in (screen facing you) and out (screen facing away from you)?
Thanks

Hey TVDinner, why did you order the Seidio case? Did your filed ebay case start locking up again?
To answer your question to me in my earlier response, I don't know why my ebay case locked up after my filing attempt. Maybe I didn't file it enough? My tolerance level for trial and error is pretty low, so maybe I'll just order the innocase...

Hi jknuckey - no my ebay case is working great to be honest. no issues at all after my initial filing on it. But I always need to have "the best" case, lol. I was originally waiting for the Seidio one, but they were taking to long and I ordered the ebay one. then shortly after the Seidio one became available, lol.

Hi Guys,
I ordered one of these and it arrived this morning, A500 fits in snug as a bug in a rug!
Quality is really impressive, and all the cut out slots for ports are in the right place.
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Navitech-Ex...K9WE/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1306931117&sr=8-3
£14.99 So I think is the cheapest fitted case around? Thought I would share for all!
Dan
Could you post a couple of pics? I was thinking of getting this, but the two photos they have of it on amazon don't seem to be of the same case. Also it looks like they flipped the second one cause the back camemra is on the wrong side.
Edit:
Actualy after comparing the front shot is of the PDair BX2 and the back shot is of the PDair BX1 that has been flipped and had the PDair logo Photoshopped out.

Hi there...
I have this case as well.
No. You'd have to remove the unit from the case to access the micro sd card.
the other thing that is not great about the case (which I'm going to modify) is that the leather around the bezel actually covers the edge of the screen, not just the border...it's a little smaller than I'd like. Why?
If you use the stock Android Browser, there is a great feature - Quick Controls - that allow you to slide your finger from off the screen onto the screen and bring up browser coltrols exactly where you need them. SUPER trick and very easy...
..and this case does not allow you to use this feature...
So, yeah. Modifications coming. When done I will post pics...Hopefully by the time I buy the perfect follow up case, they have thought of these things...
got mine today, shipping only took 1 week
Nicely built. Split keyboard still easy to use. Looks very smart.
It does allow the tablet to
slide down a little so the rfcamera gets covered up, bot a little surgery will fix that. If you use it upsidedown,
it doesnt slide down enuf to over the camera or the keys at thr screen bottom.

so...which one of the two different photo is????
Navitech case review
After having this case for over a week, I'm noticing a few things that are beginning to make me shop for another case...
1) The flap that tucks under the A500 to hold it in place has no real fastener so the more I use it, the more it is loosening up and the more it wants to slide down making the camera useless in the case.
2) The more I use it, the more the cheap leather (or..whatever it is...) is loosening up and is getting a bit..baggy around the screen.
3) I truly wish it had 1/8 of an inch more around the screen area to be able to use the gestures with the stock browser because I LOVE the way they work.
At this point, I'm probably going to start modifying it so it serves it's protection purpose until I get the next case. I am already starting to shop...
If you can live with these issues, by all means go ahead and get one - overall it's not that bad if you are willing to do a few mods to it...But be forewarned. You are getting what you pay for at this price...
try upside down for item one

most progrms and b

...and? there's ONE hole in the border / frame of the case that is JUST big enough to see the front camera when it's in the perfect position. If the camera is not lined up with that hole - no workie...
Also, if you put the unit in upside down, not only does the FRONT camera not work, but the camera on the back, the speakers, and the jack for the dock are covered as well. Also no workie...
Also does not address the loosening up of the flap issue..I've only had it a week and ALREADY it's pretty loose and allows the unit to slide Very Easily inside the case...
Ummm...Do you work for Navitech by any chance?
no I dont work for them
Ummm...Do you work for Navitech by any chance? [/QUOTE]
no but I have one. when upsidedn the rfc works as do the speakers, the ffc no.
maybe some velcro would be an easy fix.

the acer branded case also slides a great bit after a short time, but it is a very thin material that provides almost no drop protection.
At least this is leather ....
The case from navitech is half the price of the Acer case and is way better. The Acer case isn't only rubber, but seriously rubbish. I used doublesided tape for the flap of the navitech, the tab doesn't slide anymore
Thanks for the idea

I have had this case for 2 weeks and loving it so far. Great fit.
The flap that holds thetablet snug did get loose as people mentioned. Iused a 2x1 inch piece of industrial velcro to creat a latch. Works like a champ and i can remove the tab when needed.
I've had this case on order from amazon.com (U.S.) and so far although they claim they shipped it June 6 I've seen no sign of it. No tracking info was provided. After contacting them through Amazon, I got a response stating that they had had trouble with shipments to the U.S., and in exchange for refunding my shipping fee they asked I wait another week.
Waiting, but not impressed (with Navitech) so far.
I had a problem with my shipment as well. They've asked me to wait a week longer and they (because the shipment never came) asked if I want a new product or a refund.
I asked for a new product and they sent it today via first class airmail.
It's not their fault that post offices keep losing shipments. Actually we're both unhappy. They had to ship two products instead of one and I had to wait a month for it.
C'est la vie
Well mine finally showed up today. Battered and dirty in a big mailing folder not a box. The case doesn't seem any worse for the trip it had taken, and my A500 is having a nap in it right now.
The flap that tucks under it to hold it in the case is very soft leather and doesn't keep the tablet from slipping a little up or down. Still, this case should be find to carry my A500 out and about in and keep me from worrying about scratching the thing.

Okay, I fess up. I got tired of the slippage issue with the official Acer case. I can literally with a few gentle shakes get my A500 free of the case now. Therefore I ordered the TPD case. It looks like it will be the least bulky of the choices.
But I still state my version of the dream case would be the union of thinness of the Acer to the lock tab tray of the TPD.

You'd better hurry. My tracking says tomorrow, Thursday, and I'm posting if no one beats me to it.
First set of photos.
So I just got the case tonight, so this is more or less a first impression of it.
First thing I noticed is that its bulkier than my Senyx folio case, but a little more compact. It's actually really close to the dimensions of the A500, so there's not a lot of edge margin along the perimeter of the case and the tablet itself, as there is on the other case. That said, if you look at my second set of photos on the next post, you'll see that with the tablet in the Senyx case, its really close the same thickness as the TPD case.
The material looks good, and has very little odor, which I imagine will go away like it did on my other case. The stand function is quite functional and very well designed, as it doesnt fold in on itself like other cases do, so structurally the case doesnt really bend too easily. The one gripe I can forsee is that the slots that hold the tablet when in stand mode may slip over time, but we'll see.
An elastic band binds the case together when its being transported, as you can see in the second set of photos. This works well enough, and keeps the profile very flat.
Now, on to the main reason I bought this -- the clips that hold the Tablet in. I really do not like the pouch-design that the other cases use because the tablet can slip fairly easily in it. The Senyx case uses straps along the corners and I've noticed that these straps have stretched already in the 2.5 weeks I've used it so it also does slip sometimes. These clips work wonderfully. They feel like they have some rubber material coated on them so it would help alleviate scratching to the tablet, but it was a bit difficult to put on at first and to take off. I think you are suppose to slide it in from the bottom.
The clips DO block the SD slot slightly!!!! It's just a tad too long, and it blocks the very end of the port making it, so far, not able to open while attached to the clips.
As far as weight goes, its a little bulkier as I mentioned because of an added layer which acts as the rear leg in kickstand mode, and this adds roughly 0.40 lbs when compared to the Senyx case. Both of these are heavier than the Acer OEM case.
--added one more thing-- I just noticed that in kickstand mode, there's speaker cutouts hidden under the kickstand in folio mode. Pretty awesome
OK -- sorry this was quick and dirty.
So far so good though!
second set of photos -- the last couple are the Senyx folio case. Also a nice pick.
Looks nice, but also looks like it adds a fair bit of bulk, thought not as much as the Targus model.
The Acer case isn't perfect, but is low impact on the foot print.
Your thoughts?

I just wrote a quick write-up on it in post 9.
I had the Acer case and I hated it. It's very slim, but I couldnt stand it as I felt it degraded the overall look and quality of my tablet. This case is definitely a lot bulkier then the Acer case and the Senyx case. I like the clips though -- The Senyx case with clips would be ideal for me, since I do not care for the kickstand function as much -- I have the Arkon stand already.
Im more interested if you took these pics and did this write-up while "breaking bread with the porcelin god".

lol. it was the brightest area i could find to take pics quickly near my room.
didnt even notice the toilet....haha. thanks for the w/u and pics.
this case its tops on my list so far....
Got my TPD case today. It has very good contruction quality. It looks great and in the scope of its design it works very well as intended.
Since the components are all synthetic materials, it has an odor to it when brand new. That was easily dealt with, though, by a healthy dose of fabric freshener.
I love the plastic holder tray that is sewn into the case. It holds the device in place with a snap (pun intended) of authority and allows a nice view of the shiny toy it cradles so well. As mentioned in previous comments, the top bracket tab overlaps the SD card slot door. However, I don't see that as a show stopper. Unless you are using multiple SD cards to manage media, you won't need to bother with it much. I feel that if needed, the tab could be modified without any real impact to it's retention ability.
Other than that matter, the holder tray allows full access to all other ports and switches with no troubles.
I am not enamored of the extra bulk the case adds. But practically every case of this type has that issue to one degree or another. The Iconia already has significant thickness and this case adds to that in full measure. I'll take a few days with the case to see if I can live with it.
The case also makes the Iconia less comfortable to hold in portrait, at least to me. I do use it in portrait quite a bit, almost as much as landscape, but I'm willing to admit my use scenario is different from others. After all, all these tablets are designed primarily for landscape, so there you go. In landscape, especially when using it in easel mode, it is terrific.
In summary, it may not be perfect, but it is a very good option if you are looking for an executive folio type case that is also a landscape easel stand.
timehunter said:
So I tried the TPD for a few days. Its good, but the bulk and added weight was too much for me. I suspect the same for the Targus model. I'm back to the Acer case with some 3M Command double sided stickies to keep it in place.

the TPD case is a bit heavy, but im starting to like it alot. there are times when i take the tablet out of the case when im going to be holding it for long periods of time, but it works great on the table or on my lap.
just got in my case today.... It is a little bulky, but exactly what i was looking for
Hi
http://cgi.ebay.de/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=150621849701#ht_2626wt_905
I just ordered one of these on ebay, and i am here to show some pics of it in order to help some people to clarify some doubts, like those i had before.
When i say it's for european buyers, it's because i got it from ebay from germany and so the costs are less expensive if you buy it from the states (i'm from Portugal)
The material looks very good, although it's not real leather. The stand function is very functional and very well designed. It adds a fair bit of bulk, but i can live with it (i prefer security over style)
The main reason for this choise are those clips that holds the tablet in place, and allows a nice view of the toy so well and shiny, better than the other cases with the labels that can easily come in front of your screen after some time of use.
You can use the case as a horizontal stand, and also hold it as a book...
When closed there is a elastic grip to keep the case closed and also necessary for the tablet not to slip away from the case. In fact this is the only fault i notest with this case, it has only 5 plastic clips on three sides of the case instead of all 4 sides, so the tablet slides into the case through the right side where there are no clips and it can slip away if you hold the case in vertical mode with this side down. Not an issue untill know, but it can be if the owner forgot this and dont use the elastic wrist to keep it safe...
So, i just have the case i was expecting and know i just feel saver with it carrying it around the house.
Now the pics:
P.S. If you have some questions please feel free to leave it here.

this one looks really nice

I know this case.
On my review i didn´t mention but this case has 2 openings for speakers which are lifted when you put the tablet in the standing mode, when it is closed it´s protected from the dust...so i guess this is a better idea.
Looks just like my case from Amazon too! Got mine for like 15 shipped 2day. It works great except that the tabs get weak after time.

Hi all fellow Priv'ers
Just thought I'd share my experience now that I finally got the official smart flip case.
First impressions are it's a premium case, with real leather finish and doesn't bulk out the Priv too much and feels really nice to the touch.
What's really great about it is the 'smart' functionality, which basically means that when fitted and the case closed what you get is a square cut out on the front that displays the time etc. when the power switch is pressed and the case is closed. It also shows recent missed calls, emails, notifications, etc. on screen and allows you to flick up and view the details of the notifications without having to open the case, so very handy allowing you to quickly see what notification has come through. The case also has a cut out where the notification light is (top right) so that lights up still and is noticeable even with the case closed.
I paid around £25 GBP on Ebay for mine, from here: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/like/BRAN...0068&clkid=1598827080704154862&_qi=RTM2108002
The case retails for £45 GBP officially, so a bit of a bargain.
I can get some pics uploaded of it in action if anyone's interested as not seen anything posted anywhere else about the case.
FYI the plastic slider "hard" case is cheap plastic, it does fit the phone well but makes it too wide to fit into the leather slip-in pouch and personally I find it feels tacky.
Happy with the leather slip-in pouch, tight fit and it has holes in the right places for charging and notification lights.

I agree with you that plastic seemed like a bad move and should have been some aircraft grade aluminum or something. That said, I think the added width and thickness make it easier to type on the physical keyboard because some of the keys are no longer on the edge and I also don't trust myself to drop it outside of the pocket pouch and it only takes once.
Also, I found a guy on esty selling handmade leather Priv pouches in various leather colors for less than the OEM pouch. I contacted him with my new Priv dimensions with hardshell and he said he had no problem with the custom order.
I think if it's a night on the town, I might use the phone naked with OEM pouch but everyday use, I'm going with hardshell with custom pouch.
here are a couple pics of his work:

I've got both the tan smart flip and blue slider brand new boxed if anyone wants them. Just pm me and I'll do a good price in the UK. Both unused because I returned the Priv before use. I really didn't think it was an upgrade over my note 4 after using it for just over a week. Since I've bought the note 5 which is amazing.
Can I have a pics of them? Im interested.

The slider case is a bit tacky for sure - but, does protect the phone very well, though the amount of bulk added is substantial. I received both the Priv and the case together so never really used the phone naked. Couple of days ago I was showing the phone to a friend and he asked me to take it out of the case. I must say I was surprised myself at how compact the Priv really is - not just for a device with a full Qwerty keyboard, for any phone, Blackberry have done extremely well in putting all in such a small package.
The flip case looks quite nice - how easy do you find it to use the sliding keyboard with it?. does it require flipping the front cover to the back??.

Cool, yes the flip case (which is very slim too) needs flipping/opening to allow access to the keyboard but as the front is super slim (maybe 3-4mm) once opened it tucks behind fine so using the keyboard is not hampered at all.
Do you have any issues with them?
My got something like wrinkles on it and start ripping.
Also have the wrinkling on the outside of the hinge area, guess it's not the most robust leather they used huh! :-/
