Hi,
Can someone help me to connect the phone after entering fastboot? I've tried to xp, 7, 10, Ubuntu and nothing.
I installed all drivers I thing and still unknown devices after go to fastboot.

I'm trying to follow the "Retail 3.1 CWM Recovery, Root..." instructions from the dev forum and have hit a big roadbump. I'm trying to install CWM and root using XP via Parallels from my iMac (which I've read others have done before) but for some reason XP is not recognizing the APX device (and the device is indeed in APX mode because a pop up comes up on the Mac). The other odd thing is that when the tab isn't in APX mode, it connects just fine in Windows, and I can even access it through adb. I'm hoping maybe someone has a tip or trick on how I can get Windows to recognize the device in APX mode so that I can then point it in the direction of the proper drivers, and eventually flash CWM. Any ideas?!?!
anybody?
Ugh...
Hmm, now I've connected and apparently successfully flashed CWM...but when I go to reboot to recovery via ADB, it just sits at that huge battery graphic on the black background. WTF
I could never get windows xp running in vmware (on a windows 7 x64 box) to recognize my tab.
I am sure I have properly installed usb driver for my nexus 7, since I have unlocked and rooted my device.
When I reboot my device to bootloader, my PC detected a new device connected, but fail to recognize it.
Also, I can't do anything when I am in fastboot mode, e.g. no effect for pressing power, vol + or vol - button.
Now, I want to return to 4.1.2 stock image, but I cannot do that on fastboot mode.
Any solution/ work arround to save my device??
Looks like drivers got screwy.. Install PDANet and let it install the drivers for your device..

One your drivers are up to snuff and you can access your device when in the bootloader again you can remove PDANet and the usb drivers will stay in place.

I re-installed driver by PDANet, still I can connect Nexus 7 on normal state, but not in bootloader/ fastboot mode.
I am guessing the fastboot is dead and not related to usb driver issue.
Since there is no any response when I am pressing the button. The fastboot mode is hanged.
I've rooted my Nexus 10 and flashed a recovery and installed SU but my device wont show when i type adb devices
it works when im in fastboot and type fastboot devices. I go to device manager on my computer and it says adb interface is installed and working properly but i cant get the serial to show.
I had this problem, I fortunately had 3 PCs at my disposal, 2 Win7 and 1 Win8. Only one of the Win7 PCs would ever recognize my Nexus 10.
I know that's not much help, but if you can, try another PC, preferably Win7.
Uninstall and download the latest.

I updated to 4.3, which nuked my TWRP recovery. I have been trying to get TWRP back on my Nexus 10 so I can reroot. The problem is, my computer refuses to see it in Fastboot mode no matter what I do. The drivers are the main issue. I can't get ADB to detect my device in Fastboot.
I have followed all of the instructions on the Wugfresh tool exactly and I still have the same issue. By default, my Nexus shows up as a "Samsung Mobile USB CDC Composite Device" in Fastboot mode. It shows up as an ADB device in normal boot. USB debugging is enabled.
I have tried all of the drivers: Raw, PDAnet, universal, and Samsung. All are giving me the same result. I even plugged my Nexus 10 into another computer and tried the process from scratch and that computer also sees it as a "Samsung Mobile USB Composite Device". Changing the device manually to something like an Android ADB device will still not allow Fastboot to see it.
I'm all out of ideas here. I have uninstalled everything, removed all USB devices, rebooted, tried different computers, etc. Nothing is working. What am I missing?
Update: After several hours, I managed to get my computer to recognize it in fastboot long enough to flash the new TWRP manually and then got rooted from there. What a nightmare!
I am still having this problem. I tried all your steps and I am still having the problem.
Sent from my SGH-M919 using xda premium
Windows 10 automatically installed this update: Microsoft - WPD - 2/22/2016 12:00:00 AM - 5.2.5326.4762
Since then no mobile device I connect to my PC can be detected. I used a restore point and that got things working, but it auto updated again and this time a restore point did nothing, and after the restore all restore points magically disappeared.
What kind of USB driver can I install, or what do I need to do to get my PC detecting my phone again?
Update: After attempting to reinstall the Qualcomm USB drivers, which just came as loose files, it detected the phone improperly in the device manager and from there I manually chose "MTP USB Device" which I know is the default and that got the phone detected again. But now the phone is not detected in fastboot mode as an ADB device when I use the command ADB devices. I tried reinstalling the fastboot driver package but that doesn't do anything. How can I properly clear/install fastboot drivers to get this working again?
