My wife's 8125 phone speaker seems to have died, can't hear anything while in a call. Switch to speakerphone and the "regular" speakers work fine. Bluetooth headset works fine.
Any ideas? Any possible software settings that could have messed this up?
Thanks!
when someone calls does the ringer play thru the speakers?
if so try a hardreset..
ok wait. is it the phone speaker that goes to ur ear that is dead? or is it the 2 side-firing speakers that are dead?

The side speakers work (I think the ringing works), they are used for Speakerphone which is working.
The little phone speaker between the LED's is the one not working. I did a power off and power on this morning. Is that same as a reset? I'll try the reset button tonight.
Thanks!!!
hard reset....
Fixed it In no phone call, went to the volume from today screen where it shows pda and phone volume, selected off, then selected on and now phone speaker volume is back. WooHoo
Not sure if anybody has experienced this yet or not but today randomly I can't hear anything during a call unless I turn on the speaker phone function. Sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't. So I'm having a replacement sent out.
Nine time out of 10, the phone rings and plays the ring tone but, every now and then, it rings but with no sound as if the phone's volume had been muted. (have not tried it with a different ringtone yet...).
Not done anything different with the phone apart from connecting my plantronic voyager pro +. Even with headset connected, you can still here the phone ring independently.
Have looked around on the site and it would seem that the only other experience of this is with the headphone socket which, in this instance is irrelevant.
Anyone got any ideas??
whoops, can a mod please move this thread to the general section.
Allen, a while back I was running in to an issue where my phone would lose all sound, I would only notice when a phone call would come in and I happened to notice the flashing light. It turns out that for some reason if I reboot my phone with the headset still plugged in the phone would lose its sound until I unplugged the headphones and rebooted again. I think the problem has since been resolved but I'm still in the habit of unlpugging my headphones before I reboot. By any chance are you rebooting before you notice this happening?
Hey guys this thing thats been happening to me is absulotely mind boggling and if anyone can resolve this it would be greatly appreciated. it bugs me like theres no tomorrow.
so heres the issue.
i have a samsung galaxy s4 with all the latest updates provided Android Version 4.2.2
when im travelling along in the car or even randomly seated i would receive a call or even make a call and place my phone on loudspeaker now the funny thing here is that the phone after maybe 10-20 seconds will automatically switch back to normal speaker and it annoys me so i have to put it back on loudspeaker mode
ive had the occasional scene where it still showed that loudspeaker was activated but the caller was coming through the normal speaker so it forces me to tap loudspeaker to de-activate it and then tap it again to activate only to realise not long after it automatically switched back to the normal speaker all over again.
NOTE: the phone is laying flat on my lap or standing infront of me.
has anyone had this issue before and is there some sort of fix for it
PLEASE HELPPP !!!
Something wierd its happening to my Nexus 6P recently.
Its very rare and hard to replicate.
Phone just works fine i mean all things but on rare times when someone calls me(or when i make call there is no sound for ringing) phone rings and i answer call but there is no sound from speaker at all but other person can hear me correctly and to be more hard to diagnose problem speaker works just fine in other apps like Youtube,MXPlayer,ect..(no phone reset).
Im using LTE as my default on VIPnet Croatia.
Is it possible that poor LTE signal can bug my phone calls like this?
In 3 months owning phone this happened to me 2 times.
EDIT:
When i unplug charger from phone speaker comes back like nothing has happened.
Gonna try Samsung charger.
