Permanently Disable or Delete the Startup Screen - Galaxy S 4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi all,
I would like to delete the startup screen animation on my rooted S4 I9505 5.0.1. It is a waste of time for me to see the samsung animation and sound on the start. Does anyone know how to do this?

Hi,
There is no way where 'you can boot directly to system with just a second after you pressed the button'. But, you can disable it by removing any responsible .qmg files from /system/media.
Sent from my GT-I9500

Even if you delete it, that boot process step will not be skipped. Instead of the boot animation it will just show you a blank screen.
I'd rather have it on. Looking at a blank screen makes me think that my phone went into a bootloop.

Installed a new boot animation and now it locks up once it boots to my home screen. Was wondering if there was a way to access the data/local folder to delete the boot animation or if maybe there is another solution? Any help appreciated.
Nevermind. Got it figured out.

Booting twice?

I rooted my Note and all was good for a while, but i think i must have changed a setting in Wanam Xposed, but i can't put my finger on what...Whenever I restart my Note, I go through the boot animation and then the lockscreen shows for a brief second before it goes into a second boot. The animation is the same both times (I have changed my boot animation in the system folder). I'm not sure why it started doing this. Any help would be appreciated.

I started having the same issue on a 100% stock phone. Found resolution here (not enough posts for a link yet): androidforums.com/samsung-galaxy-note-3/791631-note-3-booting-boot-so-nice-does-twice.html. Turning off "Always allow scanning" from the advanced wifi menu stopped mine from booting. It almost seems like the first time it boots it crashes and has to reload TouchWiz or something. Not sure how the wifi scanning affects booting, but it worked for me.

[Q] Custom boot animation not working [4.3]

So, I tried to install a custom boot animation on my phone, but all I get is a black screen and the AT&T sound when it boots up until I get to the lock screen. I've tried to take other people's advice and change it to where it'll boot up the bootanimation.zip instead of the .qmg file that Samsung phones usually use but it doesn't seems to work. I'm on stock rooted 4.3 on my galaxy s4. Can anybody help? This is the boot animation that I tried to use.

[Q] Custom Boot Animation Stuck In Boot Loop

Alright, so instead of finding my own boot animation, I decided to make my own. After some time, I finally got it to my device and now I get stuck in a boot loop, but I'm not sure why? I get past the 'Galaxy S4' screen and it plays the first 10 seconds of the animation with white flashes then it freezes and reboots. I found a thread on how to get the boot animation off my device but I'd like some insight as to why it does this? Thanks in advance. (sorry if this is in the wrong place or if this question was already answered, I couldn't find anything)

Update: i also renamed the shutdown.qmg.cover file to something else.. still the same result
any help will be appreciated.
I have same problem. Only reversed. I can't get boot animations to work, but the shut down does. xD
