my gf have sgh i337 att. i bring her phone and rooted via kingo root successfully but some app can't get root permission. so i decide to root again with some bat file in pc i forgot where i found this. it able to installed cf super su. Accidentally i forgot to unroot from kingo. Now i hav both super su none can give root parmission or working. I dont know which bootloader it is. As i hav no root access i can't figure it out. So what can i do now pls help

I have never used either root method but is there an option in the app to unroot?

Yeah there is a option to unroot in kingo but it dosnt work

Your best option would be to flash back to a stock ROM if possible.

Cannot root my device

Hi, so i got a little problem here.. the thing is i tried to root my lg g2 sprint ( LS980 ) with io root, but than i noticed i canot be rooted because of the android version i have 4.4.2 ( Build KOT48I.LS980ZVE ) so keep searching and found TowelRoot, and when i installed the app it says my device is rooted , but it really isnt... also looking thru the system files i foind a SU file in the Xbin folder... how can i fix this too root the phone ?
can't root lg g2 sprint zve
i am also facing exactly the same problem plz someone help me...
download root checker and double check if you really are not rooted. If not use the lg flash tool and flash a kdz of a firmware version which can be rooted via ioroot for example
Like Krenol said, use root checker to see if you're actually rooted or not, but if you aren't you may also be able to use Stump Root without reverting back to a different firmware. IOroot didn't work for me on the latest firmware when I got my Verizon G2 but stump root worked for me. I can't remember if I had to use the brute force option or not but its worth a shot.
Stump Root: http://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g3/orig-development/root-stump-root-lg-g3-sprint-verizon-t2850906
Stump root says is rooted.. but the SU app tells me the opposite, il try the downgrade
so then how can i flash a firmware?

Note 3 & Kingo ROOT problem

Hello
I have problems with rooting Note 3 with Kingo ROOT tool.
Everytime when i try to root the phone tool stuck at 27% saying Waiting for device...
I have enabled usb debugging. Phone restart sometimes in the rooting process.
If i try to root with Kingo ROOT apk i get sometimes root failed or come to 95% then restart the device and phone is not rooted again.
What to do?
try to root with cf-auto root
But with this root app i will lose warranty right?
You would lose your warranty when you root your phone-via the app or otherwise.

Do i need to put my phone in download mode if i want to root it with Kingo ROOT tool too?
Cuz i do it like it says on Kingo tutorial site for Note 3 and didnt put phone in download mode.
I really want to root it with Kingo ROOT tool since KNOX wont mark it that was been rooted and i can also unroot it very easy.

S4 Question - Messed up root

I used towel root to root my S4, and I somehow allowed an auto update, which downloaded the updated, tried to install but failed. But I lost my root.
I am running 4.4.2 - Kitkat right?
So I don't have root, and I cannot update my phone - Is it possible for me to root it again? If so is there a link to instructions?
Thanks in advance, the DoridForums people sent me here -

I dunno what you are running.
1. You can take a look in your Settings - About device (Pic attached).
2. Try again Towel Root if you still running android 4.4.2 for root again your device.
3. Tell us how it works.
* You can download OTA udpates but you can't install them when you are rooted. Root your device modify system. It changes of OFFICIAL to CUSTOM. OTA detects it and give you a error when you try to install the update.
Ok attached is my about phone info -
I just tried towel root again, and it says this phone is not currently supported. So again, thought I would see what my easy options might be.
I can't post an image or links, Android version says 4.4.2 - If that's what you need? If not let me know which number you need
Use CF-Autoroot to root instead of Towelroot. While CF-Autoroot requires the Odin software to use, it's far more consistent in its results since it temporarily replaces the existing recovery with a recovery that will install SuperSU into the /system partition. Unlike Towelroot, CF-Autoroot is version agnostic, meaning it will work regardless of the version of Android installed.
There is an entire thread on CF-Autoroot. Hit the search bar at the top of the page and I'm sure you'll find it.

Try kingoroot pc version works 100% with 5.1.1 n910v
But remember this will give you only temporary root
Once you reboot device the root will be gone
Bootloader is locked in n910v
There is a method you can get permanent root in verizon note 4 thread to unlock bootloader via adb method
If you unlock bootloader after that you can install twrp recovery and flash custom roms
Don't ever try cf auto root it won't work and it may brick your device.

I was able to root once and run the script and it changed the CID or whatever it was. Now I simply cannot get temp root at all to finish the bootloader unlock process. Tried PC version and Android version so many times now it just reboots and reboots.

You must flash any rom once you unlocked bootloader cuz unlocking will mess up your system so you cannot boot into system anymore.
Flash 5.1.1 stock firmware and start unlocking bootloader process from beginning

anyone help ?
S7 edge I do root via the SuperSU flashable zip file via a custom recovery. Other methods don't seem to work well with S7 on nougat because the user data partition needs to be reformatted in custom recovery (TWRP usually) in advance when you want to root the phone.
You'll need to backup the phone before hand and set it up from its initial state after rooting it.

can u please help me on how to root via superSU flashable zip ? and will I lose all my data by this method ?
thanks,
Do not use SuperSu to root S7 as its not compatible and only meant to be used on older phones. It will not work on Android 8.
