So, In my past devices there was always some kernel to flash, I know it's a little early to expect anything, but I was wondering if anyone has tweaked the Moto X Force kernel in order to improve performance, and some RAM management issues. I don't know if it's my device but sometimes I get ocassional lag. So, if someone has already tweaked your kernel, can you please share your Tweaks, and how did you tweaked it? Thanks in advance.

So, i've been searching high and low for a few days with no results. I found some for froyo, and Droid X, but not for Gingerbread (specifically Snapdragon cpu's)
Does anyone know of a OC script that would run at boot? Using apps causing a lag in the speed adjustment when booting.
I know that Cyanogenmod has it built in, but im using MIUI, thus i do not have that option.
Thank you for reading
I was wondering if anyone knows what effect it has on gaming performance, specifically how does GPU over clocking compare to CPU over clocking with emulators like epsxe,Dosbox turbo, recast...etc. I just rooted my n7 for the first time and this will be my first flashed ROM so noob doesn't even begin to describe me. Still, I was just wondering if anyone had experience with it and would emulators got off of Google play even work on since from what I read you need slim gapps instead of the others, though those are Google proprietary apps. Could any one help me out?
Hello, i'm thinking of flashing a custom kernel to my MXP, but I don't really know which kernel should I choose cause I don't know which is better.
There are 2 kernels that which very popular around here are Squid and Ultra kernel.
I'm trying to flash a kernel which support for great gaming performance and extend the battery life a little bit, and giving less heat up my beloved phone. I've heard there's a kernel that can overclock past 1.6GHz, so I want to try (To be honest I've never overclock a modern generation phone's CPU before so I don't want to in over my head, plus I don't want to overclock it because I don't really want to because I've been out of the game for so long since I did it with my Sony X8).
I'm opening this thread hoping you guys (the Pros) can teach me, show me or recommend me about this.
Thank you
So as far as I know there are two kernels available for marshmallow. Squid's and Ultra. Squid was the first around here and has kept updating and improving. That is the one that you can overclock, as a matter of fact is overclocked as soon as you flash it. Most people use Kernel Adiutor to tweak it. Ultra kernel on the other hand expands on Squid's but it hasn't been updated in a while and some of the governors available on Ultra create crashes and bootloops. In reality the only way to go is stock (as in the one that comes with whatever ROM you flash) or squid's. Some people might disagree with me but I would suggest making your own opinion by reading through the threads. Most questions, issues and concerns are addressed within. Otherwise, good luck.
So, I noticed that the phone heats up significantly more while using a custom ROM. All I've tried do it (purenexus, exodus, cm). Right now I'm running trupurexmm and it's fine, presumably because it's modified stock. Does anyone know why this happens, or can recommend a good 6.0.1 ROM that doesn't?
Thanks!
Sorry I can't make a recommendation, but I assume the reason the modified stock and stock ROMs run cooler is CM and various others most likely lack the stock thermal-engine config which controls CPU throttling and hot-plugging.

Is there a fix for this that you know of?
I'm running CM right now and have used two other custom ROMs. All of them run hot at first, there's a lot going on after flashing a ROM and it's CPU extensive so they will get hot. After the dalvik gets rebuilt and everything settles down the temps return to normal. All the kernels have thermal throttling of some sort otherwise the phones would self destruct.
My limited experience with CM on a couple of phones is that the CPU governor doesn't work. There have been numerous fixes recently that help but it still doesn't work as well as stock overall. Stock was a bit jerky, so there are a few cases where the CM governor might feel better.

Not that I know of.. maybe a custom kernel? Not sure if CM's kernel is configurable as far as changing CPU hot-plugging and throttling thresholds.

Lower screen resolution to 1080p
I've seen the papermoon kernel apparently allowing for screen overclocking. I am using MengT R1 and do not plan on replacing it due to its amazing performance and SoT. So I'm wondering if a flashable mod or such could be created, maybe even by the developer of papermoon or any other kernel which supports overclocked refresh rates, to allow for others that use other kernels to utilise this. Replies would be highly appreciated. Thank you!
