ok well im on sprint, and i have unlimited incoming mintues. Ive been trying out IM+ skype from shape services, they have an interesting skype system. I dial out a contact, it routes the number, then an incoming call comes to me, when i answer the call, it dials out to the person i want to call. This effectively, allows me to make skype calls to anyone, in the USA and Canada, unlimited. That way i can have unlimited calling whenever i want, using this idea....
What i want to know is that i have lots of contacts and i dont want to import contacts to skype and my phone. When i used to use the normal skype over my 3G connection, the sound quality was terrible but when i wanted to dial out i had an option to dial either Skype or phone. I tried EQO, which allowed me to dial via EQO or normal... I was wondering is there anyway i can put my contacts in my typical contacts, and when i want to dial, i can have the option to either dial through skype (the shape services method), or dial normally??? I dont care if i use the shape services, i personally hate the UI, but it does what i want it to do?? What i can i do to accomplish my idea. I dont care if there is another IM client i can use (i really dont like the shape one anyway,) or if there is a mod i can do to my contacts list, or a special contacts program i can use, to decide how i dial????
bump it up,.. i know there has to be a solution
can i install a dialer skin for IM+ skype from shapeservices.com????
i want to make calls w/ that program and i would like to be able to dial out.
two other things. How can i make a link in contacts, so i can choose to dial out via the skype in shapeservices, or normal phone.
the last is i want a shortuct on my desktop to that special dialer for shape services...
i was thinkin bout this because then i could use area for contacts Have link to dial out via the skype program in shape services (because it dials via incoming calls not over VOIP) and on one of my softkeys i could like it to the dialer for the shapeservices skype program. That way i can click the green button on my phone to dial normal phone, the left softkey to dial shapeservices Skype, and my right softkey either the PCM contacts (if that is easier modded) or the original contacts (doesnt matter to me.)... anything>?
is there at least anotther program that works in the way IM+ Skype works. how you dial a skype # and it goes over the phonelines as an incoming call, that way you get full call quality as well as, since i have unlimitd incoming minutes, then i get unlimited talkin!
any other program that does this, where i can do what i want mentioned in the posts above?
bumpz it up to the top
anybody w/ any concpet lin k this
I don't know why but reading your post makes my head hurt...
I still don't know what you're asking for... so all I can suggest is, have you tried Fring?
im talkin about basically could i get a dialer skin for skype IM+
anybody?? i mean i could then put a bookmark in params to go directly to the dialer skin>????
where can i find installer of skype for my x2? i have nimbuzz but when i call when they answer the call..they cant hear me and i dont hear them..
sorry had to delete link
just a heads up, today when i tried to launch skype it gave me a message say "skype for xperia mobile application is not designed for this device" when i made a few angry calls and spent a few hours hours on google i've come to the conclusion that skype has fully dropped support for windows mobile devices. so the skype app i posted DOES NOT WORK but i have found an app called fring that allows your to use skype but i haven't tried it yet. well sorry about the bad news and good luck to anybody trying to get skype to work.
Skype for EXPERIA X2
In Russian firmware R3AA035 (last at this time)
not working IP telephonia: skype or sipnet, voice from the microphone blocked on hardware or drivers level.
Not working sound recording during a telephone conversation, too blocked at the hardware or driver level.
Do not operate a missed call indicators.
I find the time and will return to court for compensation, would recommend to everybody to do likewise.
It's a joke SE?
why do I pay for it?
Skype no more support Windows Mobile, you can use old version (worked on other phones WM)

, or use other VOIP client for example FRING

Click to collapse
It had almost 1 year that fring does not work with skype account...
I know only 2 other skype clients for winmo: Nimbuzz and iSkoot.
Fring can ringing on skype and skype can ringing on fring(additional settings needed), but not from XPERIA X2.
Sound from microphone of X2 is blocked or scrambled or something else.
I can hear only a part of words on good WIFI connection.
now I'm using a HTC HD2 & Treo680, plan to buy a third phone---> maybe Treo Pro
want to know---> Can TreoPro auto record the incoming phone just like what CallRec does on Treo680?
It can't record incomming calls in HTC HD2, can it in Treo Pro?
You can record incoming / outgoing calls on a Treo Pro using apps like ACR (Auto Call Record), but unless you put the call on loudspeaker you won't be able to hear the person calling (or being called) clearly.
This was one of the good features of PalmOS I (still) miss...
Im looking for an alternative to the pathetic google voice dialer for when you have your bluetooth headset connected, something that will dictate texts or you can speak texts etc. also Id like to be able to call alot easier than having to wate 30 seconds for it to finish speaking.....
cheers
